kosiemma: I called the Embassy yesterday and the lady told me that once my school lecture date starts , my visa application can’t be considered anymore, even after I told her that I have already been enrolled with the school and having my lectures online, I don’t know why German embassy here is treating student visa in such a manner. Do anyone have any a good news for student visa because I don’t understand going on with German embassy in Nigeria What she means is the date you put to schedule your visa, so you have to update that date and request for another appointment. |

Today is the last day of September, please who knows if they are going to be resetting the applications by the 1st of October. I tried calling the embassy today but to no avail. |

I feel like there are more people getting AD and are not coming here to give updates. Even those that got Visa in Cat A and have done their interview since but refused to give others here an update on their visa. But you would come here and take information, ask people questions and even get answers. Well done to all of you ohhh!! |

So confirmed Information from a reliable source is that the embassy wouldn’t be attending to Student visa until the borders are opened.
Hence, we just have to wait |

UhnNah: First,I stay positive in every situation and i don’t promote discouragement! But honestly you guys needs to either simultaneously contact your schools and tell them to ask the embassy why they’re not giving students appointment dates?! Because even before covid,i used to come on this thread and see how you guys struggle with visa appointment dates! Schools are just dishing out admissions with no hope for visa! Alot new people here thinks it’s about covid but it’s been going on before covid 19...Totally unfair and a waste of time! Yeah, this is actually peculiar to just the Nigerian Embassy, someone would call today, they would say there’s waiting list, tomorrow it’s wait for international flight, next tomorrow it’s something entirely different. What has happened that they are not being so clear on their process anymore. More painful is that fact that the France and UK embassy here in Lagos are already operating fully. Then the German embassy in Benin and Ghana also still have appointment dates. There has to be a root to this matter. |

Stiflersammy: I don't know how to say this but I think there is a mix up. I called the embassy this morning about student visa and as we are told to call or sent email to the consulate. I was surprised to still hear they are not attending to student except family unification.
I was told to contact the embassy through email for more clarity. I think the embassy is confused though, I called them this morning and what I was told was that there is a waiting listing for student visa’s but the lady on the phone couldn’t direct me on how to access the waiting list, she said I should check the embassy throughly. |

fancyto: They have been operating since now, what we are fighting for is appointment date and students visa. and they said in the embassy that until international flight begins they wouldn't grant an appointment date nor visa. No, before it was stated clearly that they were not going to be accepting applications and they have been doing it on a discretionary basis. But now they are accepting applications for people under the exception criteria which students fall under. The only thing they need to resolve is if we would need to book again? |

It’s best to just get confirmation from your school that the enrollment deadline can be shifted in case you don’t get Visa on time. |

Can you clarify where you got this email from, I can’t find this information on their website, my understanding is that this was the email sent to people that had AD before the embassy closed which was in March? |
