‘I’ll go from Friday ’til Sunday. I won’t have dinner on Friday. I won’t have dinner or any meal on Saturday. And the first time I’ll eat will be Sunday evening. I’ve done that three times now where I do [an] extended fast where I’m just drinking water,’ Dorsey revealed. ‘The first time I did it, like day three, I felt like I was hallucinating. It was a weird state to be in. But as I did it the next two times, it just became so apparent to me how much of our days are centered around meals and how — the experience I had was when I was fasting for much longer, how time really slowed down.’ Guys I think we a missing the point here. This guy said he had done this only 3 times, so it’s not like this is his regular lifestyle. He’s just experimenting with fasting. Also check his tweet... |

Fact is PMB is not wrong. Kudos to him also in not falling for that dangling devaluation carrot...hope he stands by it. Truth, however is, PMB is voted in to effect the change required to revert those hurtful policies and mis-governance of the past. Blaming even the devil, as convenient as it may be, will not produce the change Nigerians expect until APC led FGN start delivering the change we can see and feel. |

Good news, as long as the nomination is balanced across the 6 geo-political zones. |
Great nuggets of web presence. Thanks for sharing! |
The president's concern is well founded. We don't have the system that supports theoretical benefits of currency devaluation. Philosophy behind inflow of foreign investments when Naira is devalued is same principle of "cheap labour" that puts Asian companies in more advantageous position over America and European companies. However, Asian countries haves well developed system that supports industrial productions and Nigeria does not. Some of this systems include well developed energy/power supply, road infrastructure, transportation systems, sea ports, industrial regions etc. Hence, these in addition to "cheap labour" or "low wages" supports lures foreign investors to drift from local manufacturing/production to outsourcing. In Nigerian case, how would "low wage" alone that results from devalued Naira support mega industries and production plants when they end up paying so much in: generating their own electricity through expensive diesel, hauling their products only by in road trucks on dilapidated roads with attendant risk of product damages, depending on single export sea port with long queues and associated demurrage etc? Those that create these policies really need to think through and deeply before handpicking a single policy of convenience to implement while leaving out a whole bunch which actually are interlinked and support actualization of the overall objective. In my opinion, a devalued Naira rate of NGN 1,000 = USD 1 will not produce noticeable change in Nigerian industrial capacity rather it will end up enslaving more Nigerians and leaving them at the mercy of the fortunate few employers or labour masters. #SayNoToNairaDevaluation |
Ever wondered the difference between a believer and an unbelieving believer? I came across this discussion where this is debated among those "enlightened" in the Word of God. Please see: http://mekoko.com/brethren-council/who-is-a-believer/ |
Whatever the confusion exist in their minds regarding transgender changes to the body, technically and especially biologically speaking there is no strange occurrence here. This is just a case of a natural woman functioning as a woman and a natural man playing the role of a man. The truth remains; A man cannot be pregnant and a woman cannot impregnate a man. This story has not proved otherwise. |
What are they looking for? If they want a strong candidate against PDP in 2015, they should go for Rochas Okorocha. He did it in Imo State and Imo people are happy for it. Rochas can do it again for Nigeria in 2015! http://tribune.com.ng/news2013/index.php/en/component/k2/item/10013-apc-shops-for-presidential-candidate-eyes-tinubu-kwankwaso-buhari-may-dump-tambuwal |
I head straight home from work. Like to share the remaining part of the day with my family especially my kids who would have been asleep when I leave for work early in the morning. I love playing with them and watching their favourite kids channel with them. That's my way of achieving work-family balance. |

Rochas is working ... no doubt about that. Go to Orlu, for instance, you will see his government's presence. We've not felt this good about governance in Imo State since Mbakwe's regime. |
Okija_juju: Imo............Confirmed, this Orlu with construction site at almost all corners. Kudos to Rochas Okorocha's government... God will help him complete all! |
I had and still will donate blood to save lives. Your blood expires every 120days, so why waste it? |
Very revealing regrets. |
cookie27: Being a Nigerian is, in itself, dangerous. If a plane doesn't fall on your house, it's going to collapse spontaneously. Or you get mugged and killed on some deserted stretch of road. Or you get crushed by a falling container. Or you enter one chance and end up vomiting money in someone's closet. Or you pick a phone off the floor and turn to shi.t for some big man to come and take home in his car. Or you get lynched for the lamest of reasons. Or an upturne fuel-ladden truck spontaneously combusts and you're a charred mess in the middle of the road. Or you're forced to lie down in the middle of raid road and get crushed by vehicles. I could go on but here's the bottom line: it's a jungle out there and the clock is ticking for everyone. Just be grateful for every second you have.Same or worse in every other country.
