Why is Blocking Necessary on Nairaland?

2. Religion. According to Marxists, "religion is the opium of the masses." There's mostly an obvious lack of spirituality when worshippers are ready to fight for their gods. Or as we say, "carry gods on their head."

3. Unwholesome content. Why can't I block users I'm not comfortable with? When they post lewd comments or are quick to incite people, I don't need to view their opinions.

4. Blocking gives you control over content you permit or otherwise.


Sometimes, blocking other accounts isn’t the right solution. But the action may be necessary, especially in these present times.

So I have a small structure so I decided to start gyming over a month ago. I get good compliments from people saying I've added weight. I feel so happy about myself now.

However, I met a friend of mine today who has not seen me in like a month. I was surprised when he told me that I look shrinked.

As a matter of fact, I checked my weight just yesterday at the gym and I've gained about 5Kg.

I felt bad when he told me that.

Any explanation for this?

I'm thinking my friend might not be feeling fine that is why he's seeing that way😂...

Communisim is basically , roughly speaking, the state owning the means of production in the name of the protelariat. What they practice in China is straight up capitalism. They stopped practicing communism in their economic system ages ago, and are basically copying the zaibitsu system in Japan and the chaebol system in Korea.

Nothing like Biz communisim, infact, true communists are not businessmen or merchants. The state is meant to provide all your needs under the benevolence of the dear leader (LOL..I;m losing it here).

In the late 1970's the chinese abandoned communist economics for capitalist economics, albeit state run., but with a lot of room for private companies.

The thing is, communist economics failed. In 1987, there were several communist countries...then once the wall fell down, many of those companies in communist lands could not compete with Western companies.

Take Germany. West Germany had multiple car companies. East Germany had a state company that made two cars. (Volkswagen at the same time was making several variants of cars, to use one example). By the time the Wall came down, the state company could not compete...not because of Western complots, but because ...capitalism

You see, in Capitalist west Germany there were several car companies competitng with each other for the German and world market. So, they were incentivised to be the best, and to do better...otherwise they would collapse. Eastern Germany had one car company, with no competitors, that had to produce a car according to the diktat of the dictatorship of the protelariat. And the Trabant was useless...very useless.

Lack of competition breeds complacency. That's why all Communist government economies collapse.

China initally was like many communist countries running state enterprises...then in 1979, they woke up and started to allow private companies. They even went as far as (horrors) opeining up the economy to Western companies....and even allowed companies from all over the world to come in and compete with the local chinese companies. That is why Chinese products are getting better...they have become capitalist

Infact what they are practicing in China is not communism as Lenin, Marx, Engels and even Mao wanted it. Mao even tried to stop the changes that were going to happen via the Culitural Revolution, which nearly turned China into a country worse than African countries.

I've recently been taking care of my hair as a man I've been looking towards self-improvement and of course improvement begins with my looks.

My own my hair is the shorts strong Nigerian dry hair so even if it's long it will still appear very short which is what I fixed by treating my hair recently and washing it, right after I washed it that evening I weaved it for it to dry and while I was outside that's when my neighbors wife came, she called me and started preaching about heavenly race and I've sinned for this hair I did and what will people think of dad by me carrying this. All I did was simply assure her that I don't do dreads or weaving and I just did it so the hair and my scalp could get space to dry.

Now the hair is back to normal and it's better because it just looks like afro now very many like it supposed to be, it's doesn't look like a girls hair it just looks like a guy that's been training hair for a long time so it's okay like afro.

Tonight she saw me while she was standing with her friend and they both start telling me about heavenly race and what people will talk about my hair, how I should not allow it to shift me from my destiny.... man's just stood there wondering what has brainwashed this women and how their husbands and children survive this everyday.

How do you presume I go about this because I don't intend on being rude to my elders and my neighbors wife as at that?
