Although I doubt Nigerian women can do it right. Ordinarily customer care work Nigerian women cant do it properly. They are the worse when it comes to customer care. The women bring lots of pride and pomposity to the work. The men do it beta. African women have lots to learn. |

Devdevdev: Most juniors just copy and paste code they don't understand, or clone projects from youtube tutorials. Yet a hiring manager thinks that this is a reasonable requirement for hiring a junior dev?
I swear to God I have gone through almost every github profile of junior Nigerian devs that I have seen on twitter and all I see in their code is copy and paste.
I mean I saw a girl who claimed to have been coding for 1.5 years. So I went through her github. I saw a simple crud backend api so I clicked on it. Then I saw a controller function where she used .then on a request, and in the same function used try and catch for another. I noticed a complete inconsistency in coding style which proved that she was just copying and pasting chunks of code. Imagine not being able to write a simple crud API yourself. Yet some company is going to take her seriously because she has projects on her github and her github is lightening up like a stupid Christmas tree.
Below is a quote from a hiring manager on Reddit that proves my point.
"As an interviewer/HM I have never clicked a candidate's GitHub link. I see stories on here occasionally about a candidate's github helping them get a job, but I have never witnessed that myself, and every tech leader and senior engineer I've talked to has confirmed they never look at the githubs of candidates being interviewed.
No doubt there are some companies out there who care, but in my experience they are so few it just seems really odd how obsessed people can be with it on these subs.
What comes up in interviews are discussions about the projects they've worked on. I am far more interested in hearing them explain their understanding of a language, platform, framework, trend, or design pattern than seeing a bunch of projects they pushed to some repo that they may or may not have written and may or may not even understand. Don't care.
I had a candidate recently brag about the sophisticated desktop app he made for a previous employer and all the time he spent on it. It was built around a particular 3rd party API, so I asked some questions about how the api authentication works, how he hooks into it, if it's a library vs local service vs public service, etc. He basically couldn't answer any of those questions but kept insisting on demoing the app for me.
It sounded like someone else had acquired the API, set up the authentication for him, set up the host, scaffolded a project, and then gave him a link to the API documentation and he filled in the blanks. No" They don’t just use any project… They are not daft na? They go for candidates with very solid projects. |

Judging by his political miscalculation, he his not supposed to be our president. PO will make lots of mistakes as a president.
PO made Tinubu to win this election.
Imagine Tinubu winning only 13 states, actually 12.
This was Atiku, PO chance, but PO messed it up. |

PoliticalUpdate: I don't think those canvassing 'ALL EYES ON THE JUDICIARY' can see where this is heading to. Someone ordered the removal of harmless billboards and we are busy romancing these actions and not looking at the broader pictures of things.
Can I be sincere? Why is Tinubu going to war? Why is he looking for legitimacy globally, if his biggest problem or challenge is the judiciary? Can't we be ahead of these guys for once?
No judiciary will rule against a person of Tinubu, if it was Jonathan or Obi, they would accept not these heartless folks. INEC denied all the allegations of partisanship, just like ARCON is doing, and yet they called the oppositions 'hopeless propagandists' - stating that they will labour in vain, only to sabotage democracy for their selfish reasons. Like David Hundeyin said about Tinubu "he believes what money can't do, more money will do." No one spent money like him in the last election - to what purpose to lose out in the Judiciary? Come think.
The oppositions are making mockery of us. They nothing will happen. You see what Niger citizens did, that is what a Sane nation tired of evil will do to stop these nonsense. Tinubu will win… That’s the outcome. I am not his supporter. |

The Consul-General of Ghana in Lagos, Samata Bukari, says Nigeria has played significant roles in the 75 years of University of Ghana delivering education and research.
Bukari, who said this during a news conference on Monday at the Consulate General of Ghana in Lagos held alongside its ongoing students’ recruitment drive, stressed that Nigeria had contributed to the achievements of the University of Ghana.
She said that Ghana and Nigeria had been in education cooperation for years, and there was need for continuity.
“The University of Ghana is celebrating its 75th anniversary, and we are using this opportunity to acknowledge the role Nigeria and Nigerian students have played in our existence.
“I think my choice of the University is worth it. The environment is okay, the people are friendly and I have a well-grounded knowledge of my discipline,” she stressed.
Meanwhile, Mr. Emmanuel Dankwa, the Recruitment Officer, University of Ghana, said that despite the decreased admission numbers in the past five years, Nigerians constituted 60 per cent of students in the university.
Dankwa noted that Nigerian students had been outstanding, adding that the overall best medical student a few years back had been a Nigerian.
According to him, there are also Nigerian lecturers in the University, while many alumni are working in reputable companies.
Dankwa stressed that the institution was generally impressed with Nigerian students.
