coogar: and so pastor biodun should be made scapegoat for something he may or may not be guilty of? this is absolute ingenuity. since i know räpe cases are common in lagos, anyone accused of being a räpist should face instant judgement - there's no point investigating or looking at the evidence. let's just hang the accused & get over it.Thank you for bringing up the raape case example. Should someone who, prior to the accusation, is capable of speech, can communicate orally and in writing suddenly keep mute without being under duress, what would you think? Should common sense and logic not lead you to believe that the said accused would easily say 'I am innocent of the crime you accuse me of' ? 'When any person is accused of a crime, or charged with any fact, and he does not deny it, in general, the presumption is very strong that the charge is correct.'http://www.lectlaw.com/def2/s156.htm Cast your mind to when you were a kid and let us say your brother had accused you of taking his N5.00 and reported you to your parents. What would you think your parents would say to you first? Would it be 'Coogar, did you take X's N5.00' or would it be 'Coogar, can you show me your pockets or your bag?' Definitely, the first question is what is asked 99% of the time. This is what is asked and the silence, from an otherwise vocal Pastor, is what is baffling even to his most ardent supporters. Calling me a bubbling oaf is erring on the side of personal attack. I do not want to condescend to name-calling as this rather childish. Your argument should rather be focused on your opinions which many here have found seriously flawed and partisan. |
coogar: i also have a friend in gombe that claims he was a classmate of a certain philips70 who was a serial räpist in a federal university. he swore with a bible when he told me this.By reading your posts in reply to me and others, it has become clear that there is no point having an argument with you as you are so rooted to your ideology. For what purpose, I do not know. However, the fact is that the above would not cease to be discussed as Pastor Biodun (by his act) is representative of what is going wrong in the way we Christians worship in Nigeria. A lot of people's frustrations are borne by the fact that not only was what Pastor Biodun did wrong, they have seen or witnessed similar patterns in their locality. No be by force to be Pastor na. But if you must be, then live the way Christ has asked his church leaders to live. When they are paid by the church (plus other entitlements), boys (pastors) are smiling, when they are asked to be held accountable, boys no go smile (asking who are u to judge me na). It is us, the tax payers or the tithe payers in this case). His church is a 21st century organisation and internet privy as they own a website. Every organisation worth its salt would have brought a rejoinder by now should the said accusation be false. It is not just a smear to the pastor but to the entire organisation. Just a paragraph would have been enough. However in the face of growing past evidence of the behaviour of the man,the debate cannot keep still waiting for Pastor Biodun to issue a rejoinder. Nigerian Christains are tired of being mucked about by this puppets in the alter spewing whatever they can for their own selfish gains. Pastoral duties now is becoming a means to an end which is really sad. The whole saga is becoming symptomatic of what is wrong about the Church system in Nigeria. |
coogar: i am not a member of COZA. i don't even know pastor biodun from eden. however, i am baffled at the way nigerians are easily sold over any nonsense written on the internet. i mean - the story is true because ese said so? where's the evidence?Mr Coogar, have you ever wondered why people are so keen on making Pastor Biodun accountable? Because he is a pastor of a church and is in position of authority. Of course no-one is absolving Ese of any blame. She was allegedly a conspirator in the act. But why am I not wasting my time discussing her here ? This is because she does not head an establishment of which I am part of. She does not preach every Sunday from the pulpit neither is she a person of influence in the Church. It is so easy in today's Nigeria (where historically records are not kept), to keep shouting where is the evidence when cornered because that is escape route to follow when accused. Would you not have been the first to shout that her actions were pre-meditated if she were to bring out a nylon bag full of used condoms, credit card receipts of hotel lodge/room or even perhaps a picture of the said pastor in his under pants. I would be one of the first to shout that this was planned from the on-set to lure the man in to a trap (of course, of which I expect as a man of God he should not fall into). Historically (and is still the case), Nigeria and nigerians thrive on stories passed down from older ones to younger ones about ones culture. Would you say that because there were no pictures of your Great-grand father he never existed. I do not dis-counter what Ese said because that type of attitude and many other atrocities by men of God have become endemic in the Christianity system nowadays. I will tell you why previous behavioural patterns are important. You brought up the issue of Pastor Kayode Williams, who according to you was a notorious armed robber before he gave his life to Christ. He may have changed because of his current status (born again), but it will be foolhardy not to scrutinise Pastor Williams if an allegation of theft or armed robbery was levelled against him. Would it not be foolish, even to you, to think that Pastor Williams no matter his status would be crossed off the list of suspects because he is a born again pastor bla bla. In Nigeria maybe, because of the mentality (and it is exactly this mentality I am against), but in western countries, he would be among the suspects until he is absolved of all blame. Why would he be? Because of his previous/past record. A lot of people hide under the 'born again' cloak in other to absolve themselves of any wrong doing. As Nigerians would say 'shine ya eye'. Funny how you said because he has given his life to christ, his past should be forgotten. How do we know he has given his life to christ in the true sense of the word. If indeed he has, he won't be finding himself in all of this, so as far as I am concerned, whatever laws I will judge myself by, I will of him. Who has ever gone to court over an alleged crime and tell the judge that after committing the crime, he prayed and has now become a 'born again' and that the past (i.e the crime he was accused of) does not matter? Lol. To absolve myself of any 'one-sided' accusation, should there be an Ese-bashing thread, I shall be there in a heartbeat rebuking her of sleeping with a married man. It is important that each is rebuked. My posts on this thread stems from the fact that Pastor Biodun is a pastor and needs to be admonished and rightly so. |
coogar: he will start losing members soon? with the amount of hot air let out by irate nigerians, COZA should have ceased to exist by now. this is nothing until there's a credible evidence that ese walters was speaking the truth.Mr Coogar, funny how you are staunchly defending Pastor Biodun . The first issue you raised was that COZA members are not interested in this matter. Question is, are you a COZA member? If you are, it is understandable that your answers/ quotes are partisan and in favour of the said pastor. However, my interest stems from being a Christain first and foremost. Is COZA a Christian church ? If it is and by virtue that it is said that the 'Body of Christ' is one, all this drama happening is of interest to me and to other Christians. And should you not know, Pastor Biodun as a Pastor in his church is accountable to me and other christains (COZA members inclusive). All the professions I mentioned in my earlier text (i.e teachers, Doctors and even Priests) do have a code of conduct by which they should live and work by and I believe a Pastor (no matter the denomination) should have theirs. It is immaterial at this point whether Ese was a COZA member or not. But the crux of the matter was that a married Pastor Biodun erred by allegedly committing adultery with Ese. It was against his code of conduct no matter how you looked at it. The issue of bringing up a pattern of past behaviour is because it is an indication of a person's mode of behaviour. In England, most people in a position of trust have a background check run on them and it is decided whether or not a person is suitable for a certain position. If by the OP post, it was established that he had several 'conquests' whilst a Pastor of COZA in Illorin, then of course his position as a respected Man of God becomes questionable. It is illogical to think that men in position should not or never be questioned. It is not a question of bringing someone down. This mentality of staunchly defending 'the indefendable' is becoming laughable. If Ese was incorrect, what about others? Please, any well meaning Nigerian can see right through your posts. The more you make them logical, the better. |
coogar: why would he need to accept or deny? would that change the status quo? bianca ojukwu denied knowing FFK - has her denial stopped the accusations? some of you nigerians reason like centipedes sometimes!Mr Coogar, the difference between Pastor Biodun and Bianca Ojukwu is that Pastor Biodun is and should be accountable to his church or other Christians as by virtue of his elevated position he is a man of God (that is his Job title) and he erred whilst in a position of trust. Abuse of a position of trust is a criminal offence in most western countries. This is because the victim is vulnerable by virtue of the offender's elevated status. Please you can ask teachers, doctors and even priests in western countries who are bound by this laws. I do not see anything wrong when someone is trying to establish a pattern of behaviour of a certain individual which might be a risk to other gullible individuals. Bianca Ojukwu and FFK is a private matter unlike this where there is a tendency that should this man's ills not be exposed, many others might become victims too. |

This picture is that of an employee of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria. He was called by a Contractor to the Company to attain to a problem with a dedicated transformer at the end of the street where I live, not far from my residence. He came in the Company's pick up vehicle along side the Driver and the Contractor in his Honda Civic. The technician immidiately brought out the ladder and climbed up. In the middle of his work, power was restored and you can imagine. 11KVA line! Within a second he fell down as he was seriouly electricuted! He fell into the gutter and before you know it, the driver and the Contractor have jumped into the pick-up and took to their heels. Unbelievable ! Is'nt it? They took the car back to the office and informed the Malali unit of Kawo Business District of what happened and came back on motorbikes. By then, bystanders have brought the man out of the gutter and place him. by the side from where I took this picture. They conveyed him in the Contractors Honda Civic about 30 minutes late. He was reffered to ABU Teaching Hospital where he gave up the ghost Yesterday. May his soul rest in peace. Amen An acquintance just sent this report in.

Hell was let loose at Umualianya kindred Umumpe, Umuevu Okirika-Nweke in Ahiazu Mbaise LGA of Imo State last Monday when a man, Mr Mathias Nwoko and his female Cousin, Angela Ihuoma Anyanwu, met their untimely death while making love to each other. Sources in the community told 247ureports.com that the late Mathias, 45, had returned home from his Onitsha base to attend the priestly ordination of his kinsman, Rev. Fr. Anayochukwu Onuoha, held at Mater Dei Cathedral, Umuahia, Abia State last Saturday June 20 2013. It was learnt that all through the ordination ceremony, Mathias and the late Angela were literally tied to each other, with the latter taking the front seat of the former’s jeep. Their entanglement was said to have continued the next day, Sunday, during the ceremony marking the first Holy and Thanksgiving Mass at Holy Ghost Parish, Umuevu Okirika-Nweke. The deceased were also seen together at the ordination reception and later at the compound of the new priest where they were dancing to the music coming from Mathias’ car’s loudspeakers, while he occasionally was shooting gunshots from his pump action gun as Angela fed him with cartridges. Interestingly, the deceased cousins were among family members who received prayers from the new priest, who earlier enjoined the people of the community to shun hypocrisy, atrocities and other iniquities if they must avoid God’s anger. The late Mathias who was said to have been married for 13 years without any child, however, returned home with a young girl as his fiancée who he left in the house. It was gathered that while the fiancée was home watching videos and waiting for Mathias, he only returned around 11pm and told her to go to sleep while he collected torchlight to see Angela off to her house. But that was not to be as the duo diverted to Mathias’ semi-completed building. Worried by her daughter’s non arrival to the house, Angela’s mother called her phone line but Mathias was said to have answered the phone telling the woman that her daughter was with him. Also, alarmed by Mathias’ absence in the house up till Monday morning, his fiancée began to look for him within the house and was shocked to have stumbled on the naked but entangled bodies locked in death. She immediately alerted Mathias’ family members who could not believe their eyes. Also, Angela’s mother who was returning from Morning mass was simply speechless at the sight of the deceased. The lady who was on top of the man had her blouse on but naked from the waist region while the man had his singlet on his neck. The two were dead. Their bodies were removed and deposited at Holy Rosary Hospital, Ogbor Nguru in Aboh Mbaise LGA. When contacted, the state police public relations officer (PPRO), Mrs Joy Elemoko, promised to call back to inform our reporter about the outcome of police investigation. http://www.codewit.com/nigeria-news/10182-2-cousins-die-committing-incest-in-imo-mbaise

Thanks for all your replies and I shall make changes and get back to u. Cheers. |
@graphicplus, I think what u saw was the mobile page. Just thinking about it now actually. |
GraphicsPlus: But why use flash at all? These days, flash is usually reserved for wedding and celebrities websites. Thanks for the observation. I do have a HTML site for mobile/ tablet users / people who do not have flash installed and they are automatically referred to this site when they type in the web address. It is slightly different from the flash website ( obviously) and the functions do not work well when viewed with a laptop/ desktop. It is basically a mobile site. To answer your question, I thought the website came across well using flash. I shall have a look at JQuery and check what my options are. Thanks for the info. . That's mobile site. |
tabontabon: Viewing from my laptop. Five minutes and still counting. Just a spinning wheel. How do you expect to attract viewers/visitors with this. Bandwidth is still expensive in Nigeria ooooh!!!!I am on it @tabontabon. I made some repairs on my website admin page and unfortunately this was a side effect of the repairs. I am trying to get it fixed as I write. It wasn't like this yesterday. The aim of putting the websites addy here is for criticism and I am taking on your comments on board. I should get it fixed by tomorrow. It comes up on my laptop after 20 secs, which I must say is unacceptable. Used to be automatic ( 5 secs max) as at yesterday. Thanks once again for the comments. |
@Yawa-yi-de: It takes about 20 secs to load since I used flash. I am trying to do something about the loading time. Are u using a computer or a mobile apparatus? If you are using a mobile phone or tablet etc , it should automatically refer u to the mobile site ( which is a bit different from the original site. Pls reply so I can do whatever changes I need to do. Thanks for having a look in though. Hope u reply and tell me what u r using to access the website. |
Thanks @nollyj. It took me ages to get to this but will take your constructive criticism on board esp will the logo. One is so much in a bubble and definitely needs 'another' eye to see the mistakes. Cheers man |
I am developing a new website, though the mobile website is slightly different to the website. If you are using a mobile apparatus to view it, you will be referred to the mobile site. |

Hiya all, I'm new to website developing and my knowledge in programming is basic I'm trying to build a medical website. The main website is built using Flash CMS. However, the website does not show on mobile devices. The template has got a mobile editor to enable web builders to build a website for mobile devices. However, the mobile editor do not have the e- commerce tools like the Flas website. I was wondering where/ how I can incorporate check out, buy button etc on my website. Are there any widgets or stuff I can copy any paste on HTML widget. I've been looking at paypal or google checkout but can't seem to make sense of it. The mobile editor has a HTML widget that I can edit. Sorry if this doesn't make sense. I could explain if I get a reply. What do u all think? I |
