Emmanuel Macron, the President of Francehas blasted Brazil's president Jair Bolsonaro after he appeared to mock his wife on social media.

Trouble started after Bolsonaro endorsed a sexist Facebook post about France's 66-year-old first lady Brigitte Macron. Bolsonaro's supporter posted a meme mocking the appearance of Mrs. Macron and compared her with Brazil's 37-year-old first lady Michelle Bolsonaro.

He wrote: 'Now you understand why Macron is persecuting Bolsonaro?'

The far-right Brazilian leader, 64, replied: 'Do not humiliate the guy, ha ha,' referring to Mr. Macron.

While at a Monday (August 26) meeting for emergency talks by G7 nations on the fires destroying chunks of the Amazon rainforest, French President Macron, 41, accused Bolsonaro of having a 'colonialist mentality'.

When asked about the post at the G7 summit in Biarritz, France, Macron said that 'Brazilian women are probably feeling ashamed of their president.'

Asked whether the response on social media came from Bolsonaro himself, a spokesman for Brazil's presidential palace refused to comment. But the French Prime Minister hit back saying: 'He said very disrespectful things about my wife, I have great respect for the Brazilian people and can only hope they soon have a president who is up to the job.'

He said Bolsonaro's comments were 'extraordinarily rude', adding: 'What can I say? It's sad. It's sad for him firstly, and for Brazilians.'

Mr Macron added at the press conference in France: 'I think Brazilian women will probably be ashamed to read that from their president.

'I think that Brazilians, who are a great people, will probably be ashamed to see this behaviour.

'And as I feel friendship and respect towards the Brazilian people, I hope that they will very soon have a president who behaves in the right way.' 

The dispute comes as Macron announced the G7 counties would release 20 million euros ($22m) to help fight the raging fires in the Amazon.

The decomposing body of a woman was found at a refuse site along Aggrey road, Port Harcourt, the Rivers state capital.

According to eyewitnesses at the scene, the woman went missing last Sunday.

A British man was in a critical condition after he and his lover fell from a balcony in the South of France. The man, 30, and his Canadian lover were taking part in a ‘passionate sex session’ in full view when they fell 12ft in the resort of Le Cannet, near Cannes in the South of France.

They fell over the railings at around 12.30am on Saturday, August 17, and were rushed to Pasteur Hospital, Nice. The woman reportedly suffered minor injuries because she was cushioned by the man's body when they landed.

An investigator said: "The couple were seen making love on the balcony of their holiday rental flat. They were becoming very passionate indeed, and suddenly toppled from the first floor of the villa into the street below. Neighbours called the emergency services immediately."

Police are now investigating whether the couple were drunk or on drugs and nobody else is believed to have been involved.

A domain name is another little detail you need to get settled before you start a blog. Here are some tips on how to choose a domain name for your blog:

Choose short memorable domain names – Some of the best domains are short and memorable.

Add your keyword to your domain – If it is possible, add your major keyword to your domain name.

Simon who wrote JAMB six times before gaining admission for his first degree, served as a graduate assistant at Godfrey Okoye University in Enugu State before his death. A friend of the deceased, Ameh Godwin confirmed the sad incident in a tribute he shared on Facebook.

Ogbee! This sounds unbelievable and heartbreaking. You made us proud by graduating with first class after writing UTME (JAMB) six times, today, you have been snatched by the cold hands of death in a mysterious way.

How do I explain this to those who celebrated your academic feat with me Just three weeks after your NYSC, you went the way of all mortals.

We spoke few days ago and you promised you were going to be fine. What happened? Is this the 'fine' you assured me?

This is sad. Simon Godwin Idoko, please tell my brother, Prince Ameh Jerry, that; this is what the world has been reduced to.

Tell him the fences he left behind have fallen and strangers now pull down our beards.

An upcoming Nigerian rapper simply identified as Ziggy, died yesterday Sunday June 16th after falling at a 4-storey building in Paradise estate Lekki, Lagos state where he resides.

According to reports, Ziggy was in the estate taking a walk when he unknowingly stepped into an open space which was supposed to house an elevator. He fell immediately, broke his bones and was rushed to the hospital where he died.

His remains has been deposited in the morgue. May his soul rest in peace, Amen.
