A Twitter user has narrated a story that alleged happened in Ijebu-Igbo, Ogun state, between two married men who were cheating with each other's wives.

According to the Twitter user, one of the men found out a married man was having an affair with his wife. Rather than confront his wife and her married lover, he decided to start an affair with the man's wife.

After he achieved his aim, he went to the Mosque on a day when his rival was also there, took the mic and announced to the man and the entire Mosque that he was also sleeping with the man's wife. This led to a fight, @OlaseniOladejo claimed.

The 19-year-old brother of American hip-hop duo, Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi of Rae Sremmurd has officially been arrested for the murder of their stepfather.

According to a press release from the Tupelo Police Department, the suspect, Michael Sullivan, who is Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi's half-brother, was accused of shooting and killing his own father, Floyd Sullivan, on Jan. 6. Sullivan was released from a psychological care facility before being arrested for first-degree murder on Tuesday night (Jan. 7).

He was transported to the Lee County Sheriff's Department, where he is being held.

Tupelo, Miss. police say they were called to the scene of the shooting in the 500 block of Tupelo's Lumpkin Avenue on Monday at 9:30 p.m. They found out that Floyd Sullivan, 62, died on the scene with several gun wounds, and identified Michael as a person of interest.

On Wednesday, he appeared in court for the murder of his father and pleaded not guilty to the crime.

Mr. Floyd raised the Sremmurd boys since they were in Junior High School, and moved to Mississippi with their mother, Bernadette. He also has a son from a previous relationship.

National leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Bola Tinubu has stated that it is too early to start talking about zoning in the 2023 elections.

The former Governor of Lagos who spoke to newsmen after his meeting with President Buhari at the state house in Abuja yesterday January 7, said all attention should be focused on the agenda of nation building and development of Nigeria and not on zoning.

Tinubu said;

“We cannot use 365 days in a year and 360 to work on politics, it’s not possible. Anybody talking about zoning now is just completely restless and not focused on the agenda of nation building and development of our country,” he said.

“That time is not now. We have just finished one election and Mr President is busy sorting out the Budget, working for the people of this country. Of course, restlessness of politics is going to be there, but any lover of this country will not talk about the succession plan yet. That’s the truth. Concentrate on working for the country, help the President to help the country. There’s nothing more than that.”

He also commended President Buhari for debunking report of him seeking third term in office in his New Year message.

A Nigerian man identified as Ambrose Owiriwa has reportedly been arrested for allegedly killing his niece, Olayile Owiriwa over a minor misunderstanding that ensued between them.

The deceased who suffered an internal bleeding before being confirmed dead by doctors, was allegedly hit with a local cooking stand on her face and nose by her uncle. Olayile reportedly died one year into her marriage and while her father is yet to be buried.

Ambrose was also accused of biting off one of his nieces' ear and stabbing his sister in the past before his arrest after Olayile was confirmed dead.

Human rights activist, Deji Adeyanju who is currently recuperating in a Dubaj hospital has claimed that the leadership of the SSS is behind the attack that got him hospitalised.

An operative of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) identified as Sani Yahaya has been arrested for allegedly defiling a 7-year-old girl in Zamfara State.

Yahaya who lured the little girl with fruits into a vacant house at Samaru area, Gusau where he was deployed as a security guard, was arrested by his colleagues after a complaint was lodged against him by the victim's family.

Recounting how the incident occurred, the father of the victim said the sad act was exposed after his daughter started crying bitterly in the house, attracting the attention of passersby.

He said;

“Our daughter was sent on an errand by her mother close to the house where the Yahaya was posted to.

“As she was passing along the road, he asked her to come into the house to collect fruits. That was how he got the girl and forcefully defiled her.”

NSCDC Spokesperson in the state, Mr Aminu Maru confirmed Yahaya's arrest and further disclosed that investigation is ongoing.


He said;


“The corps member is still in our custody. The father of the girl reported the case at the command’s headquarters through the Intelligence and Investigation Department, complaining against one of our staff members, Sani Yahaya on alleged rape.

“While investigating the issue, the suspect said he did not have the carnal knowledge of the girl, confirming, however, that he grabbed her into a room where he gave her two nuts of umbrella tree.”


Describing the sad act as an embarassment to the NSCDC, Maru disclosed that Yahaya will be arraigned in court if a doctor confirms that the girl was raped.
