No fewer than 13 persons were during the weekend killed after two rival cults groups, Red Axe and , clashed in Jos, the Plateau State capital.

Confirming the clash on Monday, spokesman of the Plateau State Police command, Terna Tyopev, said one corpse was found under an overhead bridge, along Goodluck Jonathan Way, at Gadabiu, Jos North Local Government Area.

“I do not have statistics of the deaths at the moment, but one of the corpses was found under the overhead bridge, at Gudabiu,” he said.

“They (cult members) killed 11 people Friday night. On Sunday, two others were killed. One of the victims is somebody I am very familiar with. His death is rather unfortunate, because his younger brother who is (allegedly) in another cult group killed him.

“The cult boys were attacking and killing members of the public, but we learnt that they have began to kill themselves. The first incident occurred on Friday night. We have commenced underground investigations to unravel those in the cult, we shall reveal the identies soon,” Mr Tyopev said.

The National Drug Law and Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) says it has destroyed 142 hectares of Cannabis sativa farms in Delta state.

The State Commander of the NDLEA, Mr Chidi Obiefule, who made this known to DAILY POST in Asaba yesterday, said that, “The agency seized 46,634kgs of Cannabis sativa, 2.323kgs of cocaine, 14.4kgs psychotropic substances and 71.1 grammes of heroin between 2014 and 2018”, adding that 142 persons who were arrested in connection with the offence are currently facing trial.

The commander also said that the agency discovered and destroyed in Asaba, in March 2016, a clandestine laboratory allegedly being used for the production of substances suspected to be Methamphetamine.

He said that four Mexicans and five Nigerians suspected to be operating the laboratory were standing trial at the Federal High Court.

Obiefule warned the public against allowing unscrupulous elements to build and operate Methamphetamine laboratory around them.

He said that such laboratory could pose grave danger to the inhabitants of the locality where it was operated.

He explained that the waste products from such laboratory could pollute the source of water supply and the air in such area.

The commander advised the public that it was not safe for them to consume the deadly substance, adding that they should avoid the area where the illegal activity was ongoing.

Meanwhile, residents of Ogorode road in Sapele are in shock following the recovery of the corpse of a young lady close to a furniture firm.

Reports have it that a lady, identified as Philomina Oke, was going to Church early in the morning to keep the Church clean when she came across the body of a young lady lying on the ground by the side of the road.

According to reports, the woman, not sure, whether the young woman was still alive, raised an alarm that attracted residents of the area to the scene and when the woman was turned face up it was found out that she was dead and probably must have been dumped at that spot. The Police were later informed and the corpse was removed.

Speaking with residents in the area who pleaded for anonymity, DAILY POST gathered that the junction by the company “has become a notorious spot in the area to the end that it is dangerous to walk pass the junction once it is 800pm”.

The police image maker in the state, DSP Andrew Aniamaka who confirmed the incident to DAILY POST, said “ the police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of the woman, no arrest has been made, the police have deployed more police men to the area, no cause for alarm”.

The South-South Vice President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN, and head of Flock of Christ Mission, Warri, Delta State, Bishop Simeon Okah, has announced that henceforth, any member of his church that has not obtained his Permanent Voters’ Card “would not be allowed to worship.”

He said gone were the days when Christians see politics as sin.

A disagreement between a commercial motorcyclist and his passenger over a dirty naira note on Saturday in Lagos, turned bloody as irate youth beat the cyclist to a state of coma.

A correspondent of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), who witnessed the incident, reports that the cyclist identified as Okon Akpan, had conveyed his passenger, also identified as Miss Titilope Fatai, from Okokomaiko to Iyanoba market for a fee of N200.

Trouble however started when Fatai gave the cyclist N500 but when Akpan gave his passenger her N300 balance, made up of N200 and N100 notes, the lady returned the N100 Note and requested for replacement on the grounds that it was “too dirty”.

A heated argument ensued as the cyclist insisted he did not have a neater note to replace the ‘smelling’ one as demanded by his passenger.

As Akpan tried to leave without reaching an accord, the lady allegedly slapped him and he in return, started beating her.

Unknown to the cyclist, the lady was popular among the street urchins around, who in turn, reacted by also giving Akpan a thorough beating to a state of unconsciousness, and thereafter dispersed.

His fellow commercial motorcyclists had to come to his rescue, after which they took him to an undisclosed hospital.

A Traffic Policeman at the scene, Mr Uzochukwu Amadi, described as ‘dreadful’ the behavior of the youth.

Reacting to the incident, a lecturer with the Lagos State University, Dr Kaka Afolabi, appealed to the Central Bank of Nigeria to inject new Naira Notes into the system, adding that the current ones in circulation were ‘eye sores’.

“We expect the authorities concerned to act quickly before more Nigerians fall victims of dirty naira notes.

“Our present N100 is the worse; it is no longer durable and its acceptability has become subject of debates during transactions, thereby leading to quarrels in most cases,’’ he noted.

In the hearts of Angola, the forth room of a block labelled “H” resided nine fresh students and I was one of them.

Every morning, before the cork made its first cry, knocks would vibrate on doors and voices will beckon on freshers to come out for morning devotion. Many would go out, especially the obedient ones, the ones that have no choice, the ones that are naturally spiritual and the ones that follows the crowd. Many equally would remain in their rooms and protest angrily because their precious sleep had been disrupted. I was in this category.
I was neither an atheist nor a traditionalist. I was born a catholic but I am one with several liberal ideologies. This characteristic gave the “brothers” the reflection of a sinner whenever they come to me.

I was the major target of a particular fellowship brother and he would not leave my bunk until he is sure that my stubbornness was more than his perseverance.
He would stand at times for thirty minutes vibrating “brother wake up, it’s time for devotion” and would go back disappointed after failed trial attempts feeling like he had wasted his time again.

There came a lovely Sunday, prior to Ibikunle’s school-shutting aluta. Brother Lekan (as we all called him) came just early in the morning. It was obvious I was the reason why he entered the room. He greeted other roommates and came straight to my bed where I lay in humble anticipation. He asked if I was going to church and I lied that I wasn’t going. Upon further questioning, I told him tiredness was the reason why I wouldn’t go to church and I was not strong enough to make necessary preparations. I was obviously whining hoping to start another time wasting argument. To my greatest surprise, he fetched my bathing water despite the long queue in Angola hall, ironed my rough clothes, polished my shoes and warmed my cold pasta so that I could eat something.

I dressed up and followed him to the giant and popular deeper life bus which conveyed faithfulls to his church for service.
The bus drove safely to Deeper Life Christian Fellowship (DLCF) worship center and we highlighted one after the other.
Fortunately for my calculative mind, my church was directly opposite DLCF and to fulfill Bro Lekan’s wish (since his wish was for me to go to church), I crossed the road and headed for my church.

Brother Lekan stared in bewilderment as well as other faithfulls in the bus which conveyed us together.
“Bro ‘tobiee, this is the way to church” he shouted pointing his finger towards DLCF. “That is your church, this is my church” I replied pointing at Our Lady of Perpetual Light too.
Bro Lekan was disappointed, the DLCF members who witnessed it were disappointed as well. If they knew how much effort Bro Lekan inputted to make me get into the bus, they probably would have slaughtered me in their minds.

Our elders would say, the child that has said his mother will not sleep…

An Argentine woman Brenda Barattini accused of cutting off her boyfriend’s penis with gardening scissors said she was provoked because he showed his friends their homemade sex tape, according to reports.

The 26-year-old Barattini allegedly committed the revenge attack in the Nueva Cordoba area of the Argentine city of Cordoba last November, which left her 40-year-old boyfriend with 90 percent of his penis chopped off, and in life-threatening condition.

Barattini, who is serving imprisonment without bail ahead of her trial, said she suffered great psychological harm because of the leaked tape by her boyfriend, Sergio Fernandez.

“I cut his penis but not completely: I injured him. It wasn’t complete: I injured him,” she said, according to a translation of her jail interview.

The man has been left depressed, one of his attorneys said, as he waits for future operations.

According to Fox News, hospital employees were unable to reattach Fernandez’ penis.

The incident rings similar to the case of Lorena Bobbitt, a woman who, in 1993, cut off her husband’s penis while he was sleeping.

Bobbitt said she did it because she “snapped” after her husband allegedly raped her the previous night.

A female student of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) has been arrested for allegedly stealing her boyfriend’s ATM card.

According to reports, she stole the atm card belonging to her boyfriend and used the card to purchase an iphone X from online shopping store, Jumia.

According to trending reports, the lady bought other several items on Jumia too. However, her boyfriend, in collaboration with Jumia, traced the buyer to Unilag’s Moremi Hall where the delivery was made.

The arrest caused pandemonium within the school premises as she faced public humiliation in her hostel, Moremi Hall and was reported to the Dean of Student Affairs.

An eyewitness account on the incident read; “It appears, she’s been scamming guys with her friends for a long time.

When the Jumia officials came to the hostel, she hid the phones in a bag and threw them in the dustbin. The girl is actually using an iPhone 7 Plus.

However, upon realizing what was happening, the boyfriend demanded that the case be dropped.”

Upon realizing what had transpired in the school, the boyfriend who had tracked her down to the hostel using the delivery, dropped the case and refused to press charges.

It is currently unknown what the school officials would do to her though.

Medical students of Kogi State University College of Health Sciences stormed the Senate building of its institution to protest the continued non accreditation of their faculty.

Students in the faculty have been stagnant for over 5 years now without professional examination to qualify them for clinical training in the teaching hospital.

The protesting medical students demanded that they be addressed by the Vice Chancellor on the plan the school has for them.

The students decried the negligence they have experienced from the institution and the state government since they were admitted.

The College of Health Science has three sets of medical students of which two are still in 200level (A and B) and the other 300 level. The state had earlier set up a committee in December 2016 to work within six weeks and give them feedback, but the committee was reported to have worked for 12 months.

According to the students who spoke on the condition of anonymity, the committee was supposed to recommend the Federal Medical Centre in Lokoja, but “decided to go for an upgrade of an ill-staffed, unequipped and structurally backward diagnostic hospital in the town of the University for selfish reasons.

“The state has been unable to start anything on the site despite approval of the budget which sits at a wooping 1.7billion Naira” the students said.

The students cited schools currently using Federal Medical Centers, wondering why their case is different.

The students further reveal that “Ebonyi State University, Gombe State University, and even Afe Babalola University which is a private university use Federal Medical Centers. If a private university can use Federal Medical Center, then the state university does not have any reason to insist on using a diagnostic hospital that has no hope of upgrade.”

Consequently, they said they have not been able to write their first professional examination as consultants are running away from the school, demanding that the Federal Medical Center in Lokoja be used temporarily as their teaching hospital.

However, the Vice-Chancellor was not on seat to address the frustrated students. He was said to be on an official assignment to the state capital.

Bring Back Our Girls (BBOG) convener, Aisha Yesufu is celebrating her 20th wedding anniversary with her husband. The human rights activist took to Twitter where she posted lovely romantic pictures of the both of them and captioned them with lovely notes as seen below.

”With the love of my life I feel so loved and protected. With him I am safe to be who I am without judgement. Nothing beats a man who gives you safe space to excel.

When we had nothing we had laughter and it has kept us together. We laugh at ourselves and at each other. We laugh together and at others. We can laugh just over nothing and we are always yabbing each other.

We never allowed society to define our relationship for us. We did it our own way. We owned it and we are loving it. Y’all can say what you want to say we are having the ball.

Our 20 year marriage has been blessed with two amazing children I am honoured God chose me to be their mother.

One thing I always said to my husband is I would always be babe. I am not interested in doing Madam wife! I am his babe through and through. In short he says I behave more like girlfriend than wife. I am the side chick with legality.

I had a friend who used to say to me there was a sort of invisible shield that myself and my husband had that said to people: you are an intruder in this union. I used to laugh it off but truly we are close!

I was told i won’t last in husband’s house because I had a big mouth and hated housework. When he proposed I told him I hated housework and was always sick. The big mouth he knew of. The first day, he said maybe he would come visiting and I told him I don’t do maybes.

He is not just my husband. He is my teacher and mentor. He is always on my case now that I don’t read as much as I used to and he is right. I really need to work on that

Oh my goodness. I still can’t believe it. The man whom I fell in love with from the moment he stood up and I laid my eyes on him as he towered over everyone in the room has been my husband for 20 years. It was #LoveAtFirstSight for me Today is our 20th Wedding Anniversary Wow!”.

This morning, Nigerian popstar and Five Star Music General, Kcee attempted to break the Internet when he released never before seen shirtless photos of himself.

In the photos that quickly went viral on social media, Kcee is seen flaunting his sexy abs and toned body in briefs that carried the inscription “La Cueca”.

In an exclusive chat with LIB, Kcee explained that

‘the photos were not just to flaunt my sexy body or show off for social media. This is me showing off my latest baby, my latest product which is my new lingerie line called ‘La Cueca” which simply means “underwear” in Portuguese”

Kcee continues to say, “I’ve been working on this for quite a while and I’m really happy that I’m finally able to share it with my fans”.
