Politics › Re: The Nigerian Security Agencies Are Full Of Corruption. by limeta(f): 2:18pm On Mar 04, 2018 |
computergenius: The Nigerian Security agencies are full of corruption and decay and there is need for serious reform. The Nigerian security agencies are full of criminals, cultists, crooks, quacks and clowns. Massive corruption is weakning and destroying the Nigerian security system. Nigerian security system has become so weak that the Nigerian Army and Police combined could not defeat a rag tag army of bokoharamites. The almighty Nigerian soldiers turned tail and fled before a rag tag army of boko rats like toddlers seen a snake. Corruption is destroying us as a people. First came the stealing of billions of dollars of Police fund by former IG of police Tafa Balogun. Second came the embezzlement of the entire Nigerian police pension fund by Maina. Third came the stealing and sharing of the money meant for the purchase of arms by the office of the National Security Adviser named Dasuki. Fourth came the discovery that senior millitary men had colluded with corrupt politicians to defraud the Nation of billions of dollars through purchase of inflated and overpriced millitary equipment including jet fighter planes which they paid for multiple times over. Fourth came the revelation that many Nigerian army and Navy officers were involved in the fuel subsidy fraud in which the nation lost billions of dollars. And now the stealing of N8.5 billion from defense headquarters by Major General Atewe. Nigerian police men now extort billions of naira from Nigerian motorists and pedestrians daily and often shoot dead anybody that refuses to pay them bribes.. Nigerian Policemen are growing fat from imposing illegal tax on citizens. Nigerian Policemen often arrest innocent people on false charges imprison them and then force them to pay huge sums as bail even though bail is supposed to be free. President Buhari must review and reform the Nigerian security system before it is too late. Nigerians are daily terrorized by people employed, trained, clothed and armed with tax payers money who are supposed to protect them. Millions of innocent people are killed daily without justice. Extrajudicial killings are rampant and very common. Nigerian policemen do not believe in the justice system. Nigerian policemen believe themselves to be above the law and above lawyers, magistrates, and judges that preside over courts. Policemen think it is a waste of time to take an accussed to court to give the accused fair hearing before the law even though our laws assumes an accussed is innocent until proved guilty. Policemen often summarily executes accused people and bury them and force others to pay monstrous sums as bail money which the policemen then share among themselves and use to eat suya and drink beer. All millitary and paramilitary personal in Nigeria both serving and retired consistly behave like they are above the law. In Nigeria anybody in uniform is including Army, Navy, Airforce, Police, Customs, Civil defense, VIO, Road safety all feel and act like they are above the law. Some security operatives are so above the law they are beyond the law. And even now school children in school uniform feel they are above the law. Recently I witnessed a Nigerian Police officer storm a secondary school with horse whip and army belt to beat up the teachers because one of them dared to punish his unrully daughter for slapping a pregnant female teacher. The school management told me that that was the fourth time policemen or millitary men will come and beat teachers in the school for perceived offense. The children and relatives of millitary and paramillitary officers and policemen have turned our schools into slaveyards where they are overlords and can do whatever they want. The culture of inpunity in Nigeria must stop.[b]The Nigerian Security agencies are full of corruption and decay and there is need for serious reform.
