Throwback:Hahahahaha. Why has efcc not arrested him? Better he puts it in business and bank, which the next governor saw and could retrieve and do whatsoever he wished, than using it to buy a house in dubai for either himself or his girlfriend. The people of Anambra were happy with him. He seems to be the only governor who saved money for his state, and the state was top of the states, if not the only state without debt. From bottom to no.1 in education and health (which he wanted to replicate in his 'from consumption to production' mantra). He is the kind of leader Nigeria needs. If he is in charge of Nigeria, only the cabal will be fighting him, the people will be prosperous. We know cheap propaganda when we see it. David HUNDEYIN made an expose with facts all over, he will say 'the records are there, go and check for yourself'. |
Throwback:You miss a point. Tinubu removed the subsidy, not to dismantle the crime going on there, but to corner it to himself in greater magnitude. I truly do not know how exactly Obi would have done it, but we know how tinubu has done it. 1. Although he announced that subsidy is gone on his first day of office, the subsidy was provided for till end of June, the price should have remained as it was until after the products imported in June (which may still extend to around August or thereabout). But, rara, the moment he announced it, the provided fund was diverted. 2. Even when Buhari and others were paying for subsidy, the money spent by buhari was about 400b monthly (which was way higher that what Jonathan was paying). But as at now, tinubu pays 950b on subsidy every month, yet petrol rose to N950/L. And you know the worst nightmare? The subsidy is now paid to tinubu's company alone, and the company imports substandard fuel from malta. These are the crimes therein: a. Tinubu did not remove subsity b. Tinubu increased subsidy by 100% c. Tinubu pays himself the subsidy money d. The subsidized fuel is substandard e. The subsidized fuel is about 600% of it's price during Buhari's time, let's not mention Jonathan's time. Just to pick Obi's brain. He might not have removed the subsidy, completely, but instead monitor to ensure govt is paying the right amount. And, believe me, it might have been about 20-30% of what buhari paid. Because I remember him reeling out the stat of fuel claimed to have been imported into Nigeria, compared to actual consumption. Meaning that he had meant to identify how the fuel was distributed and consumed. If I would be in charge of that sector, subsidy will be paid directly to every tax paying individual who owns a car./generator. For the commercials, you must have a registered company to receive subsidy. A certain quantity (which is resonable to handle daily business) is to be availed the company, if you exceed it, you are on your own. WIth this, anyone smuggling the fuel to neighbouring country will certainly buy it at a price not subsidised. We know how to dismantle the criminal gang, and it only takes someone like Obi who is not as corrupt as almost every other politician in Nigeria to achieve that. |
pyyxxaro:Na stage by stage. I am feeling he will deal with the guy still, directly or indirectly. But you know th ese Nigerian politicians and how shameless they can be. Once the guy man confirms that the feeding bottle is truly off his mouth, he may go and beg Sim, secretly or openly |
Many people for din die since o, because that is the only thing they've been buying since 1983 when buhari first became head of state |
If you are a student in Sweden and having any issue with your landlord, hit me up and I'll advise you. Just so long as you have not committed |
Objectivist04:You are right my brother. No be OP fault. |
Prejudiced heading. You just mentioned Abia to make news. Their recurrent exp of 10b is least after Enugu (7B) and Anambra (9B) . Akwa Ibom is 46B and Adamawa 23b. So why just name Abia and Lagos. It should have been Lagos and other states. For Lagos, its economy is humongous and we are not expecting less. |
Afrojuju2017:Hmn, if the majors and sheriffs are what you stated above, then how does the "system" help? You have some valid agurements there, but I still feel on the average, these people are no match to Nigerian politicians in terms of corruption. I need to state here that there is no society entirely free from corruption, but the level of corruption and the attendant punishment to the act defines the level of corruption. As "incorrupt" as some European countries may be perceived to be, it does not mean none at all exists, just that it may be negligible. The saying in Europe is that wealth inequality is much more pronounced in the USA than here. |
And they waited until the company has invested a huge sum before this protest. As Naija matter, it is easier for the company to bribe enough people to get that approval than to lose all these and go start afresh somewhere. |
Donald7610:You say? |
Beautifulday:Can you please draw a clear comparison to illustrate this? |
Afrojuju2017:Can you explain this with examples and names? |
otipoju:USA doesn#t have the kind of politicians and people Nigeria has |
GorillaApp:I think I have fixed that |
spongeisback:Wait, they'll ask you to re-send it when taking a decision. If I'll advise you I would say you stop "fingerling" the account. The fund remaining there between the time of application and when you get a response is a proof that the fund is "dedicated". |
spongeisback:Why didn't you add all the money earmarked for your studies from the onset? This may not be a big problem, depending on how much and the kind of activities in the account. Worst is they they will ask you to give an explanation about some. As for the delay, it is their second nature, which is mostly dependent on your case officer. |
nazicartel:My brother, the thing just weak me. I think say na only me notice am. |
This is a very dangerous trend in the shithole. Human life is worth nothing to these animals. |
PrincessJr:This is not exclusively for students, but those seeking for work permit. For a student, the implication is that you must get a job that pays a minimum of 27,360 as basic salary to be able to convert your student/ RP to work/RP. Sweden wants to increase the quality of immigrants attracted to Sweden. |
garykoeman:Let's be reasonable my brother and stop politicizing everything. Did you read what the media house published up there? What is your counter-argument in each of the items? Please let's always be objective with a concentrated focus of making Nigeria great irrespective of religion, ethnic and political affiliations. For me, the project is a great idea, but everything listed up there, and more, make it not worthwhile now. It can be embarked upon sometime in the future, in a more judicious an economic manner. |
Kindnessprocity:What is the wrong you did? Did you lie against her? As far as I know, you simply granted an unsolicited interview, nothing wrong. If you had said, 'oh, she killed her father', and that was a lie, my brother, I go stone you to death. |
PrincessJr:Umea is not bad, I think you will find your way. But you just need to zero your mind that it may take a little while to get a job. Again, Umea is colder than places like Stockholm. Minimum monthly salary for international students? I am sure you convinced them that you can fund your studies. |
subcbouy:It may be possible but the process of verifying that may be rigorous. So, just to be safe, let the company open an account in your name and move the money into the account. With that, you only have the burden to prove the source of the money and the reason it came in in bulk, with relevant documentations provided. |
elijah101:You have to contact your school/department. That may only possible if your autumn semester courses are not prerequisites to your spring courses/ But if I may ask, why do you want to do that? I could advise differently if your reasons are clear to me. |
A piece of advice for you intending to go to Sweden for studies, and you will live in Stockholm. Pay your fees as early as you can and start processing your accommodation early. You won't know what God has done for you if you move straight from Nigeria to Sweden and into your student apartment. If not, then you may have no peace until you get your own accommodation. My eyes saw my eyes for some months before I settled in, it is so so destabilizing. Let me hint you: One landlord I lived in his house gave me numerous rules, one of which include not cooking in the apartment after 8pm. Now if you go to school from morning to around 2, 3 or 4pm, and then go to work, to close from work around 10pm, sorry will be your case if you don't plan. This is just a piece of advice, especially if you will be studying in Stockholm. |
Tracedigitz:What exactly do you need to know? Have you visited the migrationsverket website? |
Umueme:1m, not 10m. |
Blakjewelry:So you mean the words below are polite? "When I was telling people the hike in price has nothing to do with dollar some fools were arguing silly..." |
Blakjewelry:Why are you guys so quick to insult people? This could still be written as "...some persons were arguing like they understood what is at play,..." Please, let's learn to respect people. Whatsoever you don't want to be thrown at you, don't throw at others. Let's make this world a better place for others, by that, the world will in turn become a very good place for us. Just as advice. |
Those in the party threatening him, nothing will happen in 2027, he doesn't need them to remain in power, they rather need him to eat. They will run begging and asking to be given roles to show their face. Make una leave all these yeye talk, no be today Nigeria begin be as e be. Tinubu has not done anything extraordinarily wrong here. |
chopnaira:Oga abeg stop to dey fall our hand. Didn't you read "Both AfDB and IDB have approved, but the papers have not even been signed." in the article? @ the bolded, don't you know the federal govt shares money to the states every month? Alex Otti is being applauded because he is using the money he receives monthly to work for the people he is leading. But many other governors will squander the money, borrow more and steal almost all. He has calculated all the money the state will receive in 2024 and seen that it won't be enough to fund all the proposed projects, so he has prepared additional sources by securing approval for loans. The loan will not be taken if by any chance the state actually receives enough money to fund their projects. But in case of need, they can easily access the money, it is at that time that the word 'borrow' will be activated. Also, Alex Otti had said that any money they borrow will be used for developmental projects, and most likely the project will repay the loans. I think our common goal should be to see Nigeria work like civilized societies (because Nigeria has the resources), and not to play politics and tribalism all the time. If you see something good in someone, applaud, it will not delete the natural hatred you have for the person still, but it will make you turn to those who are not performing and hold them accountable. If there are 10 governors like Alex Otti, their influence in their respective states will start facing Nigeria towards the path of economic recovery. Now Otti is fixing roads, Abia will soon have a refinery, electricity will improve, they are planning a rail system, all these will improve peoples lives in Abia state. Your question (the bolded) should be directed to his fellow governors. |
This is propaganda. You just want to remove it from the holders and fix your own thieves. You just noticed the flaw two days ago. And now now you have decided on an alternative. And you already know the new one will save 300b. So you are the one to determine contract sum? Won't it undergo some bidding? The new design won't cost extra money? Come on, you guys should stop thinking Nigerians are fools. |
