Politics › God Is Against Tinubu’s Victory — Primate Ayodele, Reveals What Will Happen by Lionize(op): 1:28pm On Mar 03, 2023 |
God against Tinubu’s victory, prepare for hardship, his govt’ll fail – Primate Ayodele to Nigerians
The leader Of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, on Friday reacted to the victory of Nigeria’s President-elect, Bola Tinubu at the just concluded presidential election.
Primate Ayodele revealed that God is against Tinubu’s victory, adding that the incoming government will be filled with sorrow, hardship, failure and economic disappointment.
In a statement by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, he made it known that the incoming government will not be any better than the outgoing one because the will of the people was stolen.
He explained that it is not part of God’s plans that Christians will not be part of leadership in Nigeria and that the APC wants to stir a confusion in the religious sector.
According to Ayodele: ‘’I am seeing a new government of sorrow, hardship, failure, economic disappointment, there will be more hardship because God never approved another APC government for Nigerians.
“Under this new government, Nigeria will not be regarded internationally, this government will not make it better than what we experienced in the outgoing government.
“This is not the government God approved for us. God has not approved Nigeria to be an Islamic republic, he has not said Christians will not be part of the government but these people have berated God, they want to stir confusion in the religious sector but God has rejected them.’’ https://www.google.com/amp/s/dailypost.ng/2023/03/03/god-against-tinubus-victory-prepare-for-hardship-his-govtll-fail-primate-ayodele-to-nigerians/%3famp=1

But, sorry o, even the guy that died (Chukwuma), he had a shady life. He was working with Fedex before he left for jumia just before the unfortunate incident. He had his family in Obigbo and wasn't taking care of his wife, but kept a mistress. It when he died the mistress came forward, and it was then the wife knew he had one. chibrolex: .....who are you trying to deceive?the section of law says that 25% IN 2/3 of the federation including Abuja.that means you must also have 25% in Abuja.......(so if i may ask what is meaning of INCLUSIVE or what is the meaning of AND in that paragraph)....please,Go and prepare for a run-off in 21 days and stop deceiving people here. That was why I included fct as a 'pseudo' state. it means you must get at least 25% in at least 2/3 of all the states and fct' (fct here included as a state). It means if you get 25% in fct, then it counts as a state.. . He/she must secure not less than 25% of votes cast in at least two-thirds of all the States of the federation and FCT |

David160: FCT is not a state Yes, I know, I just wanted it broken down so it can be understaood. The law does not say if the candidate doesn't get 25% in abuja, then he can't win. now look, 2/3 of 37 is about 24.6, approx 25- So, if the person polls 25% or more in 24 states, and then fct, making it 25, the person has passed. If the person gets at least 25% in 25 states, without FCT, the person has also passed. So, there is no law that makes fct standalone on that 25% requirement, that's why I kukuma included fct as a state because in this case, they are all on the same league. |
Politics › Re: 25% Requirement In Abuja by Lionize: 10:11pm On Feb 28, 2023 |
Philgafauto: That’s not what the constitution said. The FCT is not a STATE. It doesn’t not have any elected Governor but an appointed minister by the President.
We shall argue this issue to the last and forcefully resist your attempt to make the FCT a state.
It’s a federal province under the control of the federal Government. I called it that to enable you understand the interpretation, it actually says 'the 36 states, including FCT' |

Flyemmyrate: It means each candidate must have at least 25% win of total vote cast in each state of 36 states including FCT. No, that's not what the law says. It says, in addition to having the highest total number of votes, the candidate must also have at least 25% of votes in at least 2/3 (two-third) of the 37 states of the federation (Abuja makes it 37). |

I watched a video of inec uploading Jigawa results for Okigwe in Imo state, where APC had large number of votes and LP and APGA zero (almost impossible in reality). ALso, other case where they uploaded non-related pictures (one was a girl in the bathroom in Ekiti state). In some cases, the total number of votes deviated from the numbers. The rigging seems to be the worst in Nigeria so far, perhaps because this is the first time BVAS is being used and they have not yet mastered how to neatly manipulate it because they are still using old strategy to deal.
I am thinking, if APC had, after their campaigns not engaged in some of these unreasonable practices, they may still win the election, but perhaps with small margin. But now, it is simply obvious the rigging was in their favour, and who else but APC is to be fingered? This may legally just relegate APC to a back row instead of the front row the rigging has placed it. Just thinking loud. |

Politics › Fashola Tackles Keyamo, Says Buhari’s Action Not Contempt Of S’court by Lionize(op): 1:15pm On Feb 20, 2023 |
Politics made the Festus guy throw reasoning away sometimes, doesn't really sound like a lawyer those times. Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, has disagreed with his counterpart, Minister of State, Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo, over his recent comment for faulting President Muhammadu Buhari’s directive that the old N200 be recirculated until April 10, 2023, while the old N500 and N1,000 cease to be legal tender. Fashola, who is also a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), at the weekend, argued that the directive of the president was not a direct affront to Supreme Court that had momentarily stopped the move to ban the old currencies by February 10, 2023.
Former Lagos state governor, while speaking on TVC, on Sunday, maintained that the president only took the step to help assuage the hardships of Nigerians who were bearing the brunt of the policy. Keyamo, who is a spokesperson for the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council, had in an interview on Channels Television, said the president was wrongly advised to make the pronouncement in a nationwide broadcast.
According to Keyamo, although Buhari had good intentions for the naira redesign policy, he was wrongly advised.
APP PCC spokesperson also said he would have advised the president to comply with the Supreme Court order, which was to recirculate all the old notes until they decide on the matter.
“My view is that the president acted honestly, without intention to slight the Supreme Court, but he may have acted on wrong advice. I did not give that advice, it’s not my responsibility. I do not know who gave that advice.
“Now, if I were to advise him, I would have advised differently. I would have advised him to comply with the terms of the order of the Supreme Court. All the notes should circulate for now, all the notes. All the old notes should circulate side by side with the new notes for now, because that is the order of the Supreme Court,” Keyamo said.
However, Fashola, reacting to Keyamo’s statement said the recent nationwide broadcast by Buhari on the ongoing naira redesign policy was not a contempt of the Supreme Court.
He stated that although the naira swap policy needed to be reviewed, the president took the decision because he had seen the suffering many Nigerians were facing and not to spite the apex court.
Fashola explained, “Let me say that in a democracy where there is a right to speak freely, there’s bound to be divergence of views, as you have had. But I think that the principle about respecting and awaiting the outcome of a court decision sometimes has been stretched, if I may use that word.
“There is also a lot of jurisprudence and scholarship about the boundaries of contempt in actions done and in things said. If I shut the door on your finger, and you went to court to say that the court should direct me to remove or open the door, do I say let’s wait for the outcome of court decision when you are in pain, and people are in pain?
“The question to ask is if I attempt to open that door, would you, the person in pain, say I was acting in contempt or would you gladly have me open the door and then go back to the court and say the matter we have resolved it?
“And that is another angle to look at this thing because I think that whatever interventions the president sought to make were interventions in response to the very palpable pain and I think he said that much in his speech about the unintended consequences of the policy.” Source: https://www.vanguardngr.com/2023/02/fashola-tackles-keyamo-says-buharis-action-not-contempt-of-scourt/

hmn. Apathy aside, Peter Obi is the most qualified in this race if being corrupt is not a yardstick to lead Nigeria. From my assessment, with Peter Obi, many Nigerians will grow economically, that is, the common wealth will be evenly distributed. But with others, the common wealth will be cornered into the pockets of few, politicians and corrupt businessmen.
The truth is, if the president doesn't steal, he will have the moral strength to punish anyone who steals under him. |
