You think he does? Well... let's see how he tries to maneuver over the union. It seems you guys don't know the strength of PENGASSAN.
So far, both unions appear to make more noise than actual actions because they know they are in the wrong, which is why they can’t go to court, and as of today, they can’t even go on any strike again.

I hope the verse you put up is not a verse you considered to address the the discussion?

If we are reading the same Bible then it would be easy for you to show me where a Bible College or any resemblance of it was set up before one is ordained a Pastor or made one....

Apostle Paul and Bro. Timothy did not attend any Bible College or did they attend?
Once again, you've avoided answering the core question: What is the scriptural basis for being called or ordained? You made a claim, and I'm simply asking you to support it with Scripture.

The passage I quoted was to emphasize that as Christians, we shouldn’t make assertions we can’t back up with the Word. It’s not in line with Christian integrity to do so.

As per your data would be nice to quote the source cos I believe there is difficulty harmonizing the data. I agree there are deeper issues ,and in my opinion it relates to government, policies and the need to do what is right. As per unionizing, I think Dangote doesn’t want disruption to his business in
any guise, there are many disruptive factors apart from Union,in my view, the Union can provide some competitive advantage .I have witnessed first hand,in upstream business was it 2015 when oil price was at about $25 ,where Pengassan in an IOC introduced a cost-saving Initiative by sharing deck spaces for different routes/ ship, this was implemented and the model still in use in that IOC.If given the opportunity, beyond, strikes, salaries and increases which I feel is what Dangote thinks unionizing of its workers will bring,PENGASSAN is indeed a force for positive change and sustainable growth. He should just look at the brighter side
While it’s clear that you lean in favor of PENGASSAN and NUPENG, I truly appreciate the respectful tone and the thoughtfulness of your arguments. I agree that unions can indeed be valuable partners in progress—especially when their core interests are genuinely at stake.

That said, I personally don’t believe Dangote is primarily concerned about salaries or worker welfare—perhaps about the potential for strikes. Even then, that alone doesn’t justify an outright rejection of unionization. It feels like there’s more to this story—something both parties are deliberately withholding from the public. Unfortunately, whatever that is seems to reflect poorly on both sides, particularly the unions.

It’s also worth noting: the refinery has been operational for over a year—so why now? Why is this surfacing just as Dangote begins direct distribution using his CNG trucks, which reportedly cut transport costs by about 40% compared to existing alternatives? Did salaries and working conditions suddenly become intolerable?

We need to look beyond the surface and resist the pull of emotionally charged narratives. There’s more here than meets the eye.

PoliticsRe: PENGASSAN And Dangote Reconciliation Meeting Ends In Deadlock by lionshare: 1:31pm On Sep 30, 2025

Indeed the drama can lead to disruption if the autonomy Dangote has in the refinery is exhausted and our NNPC cannot meet its quota, btw no one knows the true daily Nigeria consumption cos corruption has thrived in the O&G sector.
As per the behavior of past unions,it’s actually contextual ,the real issue here is the right to unionize and the sacking of those who made that attempt.
Genuine concern for Nigerian’s welfare starts from our local government- what have they done with the increased direct allocation?,Our State governors ,how have they ensured that citizens are the direct beneficiaries of their enhanced revenue.
PENGASSAN on the other hand has a clear mandate - Protect the job of its members and improve their working conditions which so far
especially in recent times has been done quite well
I believe around 1.41 billion liters were consumed in August—dividing that by 30 gives the average daily consumption. Honestly, unionizing and layoffs are just symptoms of a deeper issue neither side wants to address. We need to understand what Dangote risks if unions are allowed, and what unions stand to gain. All the talk about workers’ welfare seems like an afterthought.

A Workers Union is for Workers, not for you.

What concerns PENGASSAN with an Ordinary Nigerian? Are you part of PENGASSAN?

I don't even understand you guys. You type so well, but choose to compose a text without intelligence.

PENGASSAN is fighting for the rights of its workers. It's not for ordinary Nigerians. It's not for poor people. It's not for filling stations.

What is so difficult to understand here?
Both the workers and the refinery ultimately serve one group: the end-users—the people. If the people don’t want any disruption in supply, who are the workers to complain? Between workers, investors, and the end-users, who is easier to replace? Resisting change only leads to being crushed. It’s better to embrace change first, then find ways to align your interests with those of the end-users and investors. If not, the door is always open.

The country’s problem isn’t just poor leadership, but followership. Leaders often mirror their followers’ views, which stalls progress. For real growth, followers must take responsibility, be accountable, and embrace positive change—even when it’s uncomfortable.

This is strange!

The barrage of online PR urchins defending Dangote—where are they trooping out from?

Honestly, it's good to have enough dough to throw around at online beggars.
You're funny—do you really think Dangote can afford to pay everyone? Nobody wants fuel scarcity or disruptions to their daily lives and livelihoods, which is exactly what this drama could lead to if it continues. Plus, the past behavior of these unions has already left a sour taste in many people's mouths. They’re often seen as self-centered and rarely show genuine concern for the welfare of ordinary Nigerians.

Your comment reeks of serious, gross ignorance

The Nigerian labour law compels him to have a Union. You think PENGASSAN woke up and picked on him?

All Oil companies in Nigeria have a Union for its staff. It's a Labour law in Nigeria. PENGASSAN did not write the law. Nigeria did.

So he either forms that Union, or follows your advice to sell it off. Shebi he has yam and knife?
You said it’s the law, right? Fine—then PENGASSAN should take the matter to court instead of constituting a public nuisance. Or are they afraid of the legal outcome? There are teachers in private schools and universities across the country earning ridiculously low salaries, yet NUT and ASUU remain silent—because those are private institutions. What’s good for the goose is good for the gander.

Protecting who, exactly? If Dangote decides to shut down the refinery, would the unions even have a say? Both sides should find a way to accommodate each other, but let’s be honest—Dangote holds both the knife and the cake in this situation.

Not that it is not good, but it's not a Scriptural criteria if that is what you're intending to point out.

You better be reading the Holy Bible which holds the WORD of God and check the criteria such position.

The Word of God transforms only those who yield to the quickening Spirit of the Lord.

If this is not checked on time, it will cause dollar scarcity, fuel scarcity as there would be delay in sourcing for dollar, FX reserves likely to depreciate or dollar subsidization returns.

All can still be averted if FG can get involved and resolve the matter. Prevention is better than cure

It's all part of the wider rigging strategy being put in place by Tinubu and his cohorts! Would Peter Mbah, and others who have already defected, consider doing such if they had not been approached and cajoled, enticed. or even threatened to cross over to APC!

Specifically regarding the naive Igbo in APC, and those being worked on to join, just know it's not being done from a position of seeing Ndigbo as equals, but rather it's being done from the position of a 'master/slave' relationship....seeing the Igbo as a 'conquered' people that should be 'controlled' and 'ruled over'! You can see this in how Igbo politicians and the south-east in general has been treated by that wicked party from the time it was formed till the present!
