PoliticsRe: APC Chieftain Condemns, Rejects Heavy Taxation Of Aba Traders Under Alex Otti by lionshare: 2:58pm On Dec 01, 2025
Isaacc729l:
APC should have sent this to Otti directly instead of making it public.

This is very shameful for Otti. How can you increase tax from 18k to 36k?
Why? It’s in Apc’s interest that these sort of news go viral.
PoliticsRe: Dangote Refinery Commits To Supply Of 1.5 Billion Litres Of PMS Monthly by lionshare: 2:38pm On Dec 01, 2025

Was surprised when i read somewhere that they are importing to cover shortfall. If one barrel of cride can yield 49 litres of petrol, 650k X 49 is 30+ million litres petrol a month.
Now you see why he’s pushing for the levy on imports—don’t be surprised dangote is yet to meet full local demand yet wants us to ban imports 😁
Foreign AffairsRe: Trump Orders Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro To Leave Or... by lionshare: 2:35pm On Dec 01, 2025
malali:
The buyers want the seller killed to prevent the consumption.

That has never worked and will never work.

Just say the truth, we want to colonize their Crude Oil.

If you kill the seller of Drugs in Venezuela, A new seller will emerge from Mexico the next day......within 24 hours.

A kilo of cocaine in Colombia is $1000 but when it gets to American streets its $80000

There is no commodity in the world that will give you such profit, not gold, not crude oil.....Nothing.

As long as USA keeps buying there will always be sellers.
If the USA legalized it, all this drama would end — allowing control over production, importation, and consumption. Otherwise, even if the current president leaves, the next one will likely continue the same approach since Uncle Sam can’t ignore the economic impact of the trade on Venezuela’s economy. Therefore, my theory is this is about oil not drugs😁

I would wish the military stopped reporting their little wins. They should rather go after the bandits and deal with them thoroughly.
When we are able to dwell in safety, we would know that they have succeeded . For now, it is all noise
No, they have to do it. There’s a lot of media propaganda around terrorism that aims to instill fear by claiming responsibility for tragic events, intimidating both the public and security agencies. The security forces need to counter that propaganda with reality by consistently showing that these miscreants are being neutralized in increasing numbers. Otherwise, the media narrative will be that the entire country has been overrun by bandits, which is far from the truth. Such distorted perceptions can harm economic growth—something we urgently need right now to slow the rising rate of poverty.

PoliticsRe: Is This The Only Way To Stop Tinubu In 2027? by lionshare: 10:04am On Nov 30, 2025
ComeComing:
That sentence only makes sense on paper. In reality, it's very valid and continues to give Tinubu migraines.

Atuku/Obi 2027 is Tinubu's greatest fear. His second greatest fear is Seyi Makinde contesting on the PDP platform.
A known devil is better than an unknown angel—as long as it’s the same guys who were on the ballot in 2023, when it was near impossible. Then, Tinubu will most likely win again in 2027. Besides, the opponents have more votes running separately than running together. Btw leave PDP out of the equation😊
PoliticsRe: Mike Arnold Slams Tinubu Over Reno Omokri’s Ambassadorial Nomination by lionshare: 7:29am On Nov 30, 2025
MartinCorridon:
Funny enough, Tinubu might have set up Reno and FFK for humiliation at the Senate

He did same to El Rufai who dressed in agbada, thinking he would "take a bow" and was publicly whitewashed.

At least Reno will add to his bio - " former Ambassador designate"

However, IF Tinubu truly appointed these 2 sincerely... Very few people have this level of maturity. Saraki too should just go ahead and prostrate for forgiveness.

Saraki would have been the perfect successor to Tinubu under his Northern Yoruba Agenda he's using on the North grin Saraki was just arrogant and impatient
Interesting POV—-trust is a precious currency.

Being pro-labour is paying their entitlement when due
Carrying out promotion exercises regularly and adjusting the pay grade of the successful ones ASAP
Giving bonuses and perks and making soft loans available to the workers
How many workers benefit from sponsoring a gov to run for office while thousands of workers go to bed hungry?
Well he did all these and more and still ensured he supported Adam to become governor of Edo state. 🙂

The woman is fish brained. Because you can speak small English you thing you have a point. She doesn't reside in SE for sure. Compare the killings in SE and other political zones and see that the SE is a safe haven. Am not saying that the security in SE cannot be improved on.

Let her go down to the root of all these and let her tell us who is responsible for all the insecurity in southeast.

I used to be like her not until I saw above their deceit.
So instead of comparing investment growth, you’d rather prefer to compare killings. Even the so-called fish-brained is choosing peace over chaos and insecurity..

The connection is, from the article, the CBN instructed Nigerian banks to have a market cap of #500 billion (about $344 million) as a condition for remaining in business. This is what you get what your currency becomes worthless.
What was the capital requirement when the foreign exchange rate was N200? By the way, stop conflating market capitalization with capital requirement.

APC is confused. They are fighting over who hasn't declared interest in joining them. APC is fighting, crying and wailing to have a man who defeated them, a man who his supporters have asked him to stay away from the Afiliction Progressive Congress. Shame to APC una don lose
Looking closely at Osun and Plateau states, the party is signaling that it does not want the incumbents to defect because they believe they can defeat those incumbents at the polls—and with good reason.

PoliticsRe: So Nnamdi Kanu Can Be Convicted by lionshare: 6:03am On Nov 21, 2025
emkz:
If there is one thing anyone must learn, BE CAREFUL OF YOUR ONLINE UTTERANCES.

Nnamdi Kanu was shouting "burn it down", "kill them", "supporter of APC", "zoo" during EndSARS.

Lekki Toll gate was burnt.

Some police stations like Orile Police station, were raided, burnt and criminals were set free.

Forensic laboratory in Lagos was burnt.

Media establishments were burnt.

BRT was burnt.

Lagos smelt of smoke, burning flesh and death.

Although the judge said Nnamdi Kanu would not be blamed in totality for the post-EndSARS crisis, it was quite telling for me that he was the sole voice calling for destruction.

Ndigbo, remember EndSARS. Remember how the north stayed away from it. Please when you are invited for destructive protests, stay away. Remember Omoyele Sowore's Endbadgovernance protests that turned to arson and flying Russian flags. You did well by staying away; otherwise, the riots would have been pinned on you.

If anyone calls for protest for Kanu's conviction, stay away from it.

Nnamdi Kanu was granted several opportunities to defend himself and he was engaged in drama. Do not allow anyone to set you up to be scapegoats.
It makes no sense to me when they call the country a “zoo” without realizing they’re indirectly calling themselves animals. Like, can’t you think?

PoliticsRe: A Lot Of Nigerians Are Extremely Wicked And Evil - Kanu by lionshare: 5:49am On Nov 21, 2025
truthera:
I've seen this kind of comment been made severally, I wonder why so many people here are peddling barefaced lies against Nnamdi Kanu with no shame. The FG prosecution team presented 5 anonymous fake witnesses wth fake names to testify against Kanu. None of these fake witnesses in their testimonies were able to indict Kanu directly of any act of terrorism or killings, instead they told stories of what he said and Youtube videos they watched. None of the witnesses were able to provide evidence or prove how Kanu carried a gun and led his gunmen to attack villages or towns. No witness was able to provide evidence linking Kanu's broadcasts directly to the killing of any of the victims they mentioned, they failed to call one real victim to corroborate their fake testimonies in court. No real IPOB gunman was presented in court to validate their bogus claims or say how Kanu's broadcast made him or her to go and kill. All anonymous witnesses were strangely and conveniently DSS operatives with no neutral party presented as a witness by the prosecution team. This is what you and many others call justice while there are real evidences indicting your "saint" federal government of mass murder in the south east.

If you are not informed then open the link below and read about the conquests of the real killers

https://www.amnesty.org/en/latest/news/2021/08/nigeria-at-least-115-people-killed-by-security-forces-in-four-months-in-countrys-southeast/
Don’t let emotions cloud the truth. The broadcasts—both on radio and online streams—are more than enough to land anyone in jail anywhere in the world. Simon is a clear example of that.

PoliticsRe: So Nnamdi Kanu Can Be Convicted by lionshare: 5:24am On Nov 21, 2025
This Kanu issue is why I felt that those who criticized BAT for the types of crimes included in the presidential pardon were being short-sighted. If they had remained silent about the initial list, Kanu might have had a chance of receiving a presidential pardon. But now, it will be almost impossible for any president to grant him one without appearing to apply double standards. We shouldn’t be reactive; we need to be forward-looking and proactive.

Very true. Nigerians are non thinkers.
I mean, how can a military personnel official duty be to prevent constituted authority access to illegal structure.
Nigerians celebrated because it was wike, there perceived enemy, that was humiliated not minding the legality of the actions of the yerima boy.

Wike took things too lightly to avoid Media frenzy that backfired. He could have gone there with military personnels on the approval of the president let's see what the boy would have done. But he chose to be present himself expecting to be respected on self recognition not knowing that there are already sinister plans to dishonor him.

But the way Nigerian army is structured, it is difficult to fight corruption. When the cashless policy was introduced, military personnels were the ones bringing mint recolored notes to the banks even when the banks can not access these notes from Central Bank. This is because these people receives their payments before any other institution. That was why Emefiele was guided by the military when warrant of Arrest was on his head owing to corruption charges against him.

Generals operates like commanders in a mini barracks with multiple military personnels under government payroll as guards who should be in a platoon fighting for the nation.

So how do you fix this?

Nearly impossible.
Implement a multi-pronged reform strategy:

Enforce merit-only criteria for all recruitment and promotion decisions.

Reduce direct contact with the military by assigning personal protection duties exclusively to civil defence, police, or comparable non-military bodies.

When you have the open backing of two nuclear superpowers, you know you're not a small country.

Tinubu is not even answering Trump.
Add the UK—and by extension, the EU. If you study Silium’s books closely, you’ll realize that Britain remains the true power behind Nigeria. Therefore, Trump publicly confronting Nigeria without prior clearance from the UK would be seen as an affront to the longstanding US–UK relationship—a relationship far more important to any American president than any oil, religion, or treasure in Nigeria.
