1. He has no chance of winning if he chooses to run independently.
2. Joining Atiku as his vice-presidential candidate would also lead to defeat.
3. The coalition is unlikely to grant him the ticket under any circumstances.
4. To remain politically relevant, he must resolve the internal disputes within the LP, unify all factions, and establish significant influence.

These people, Una well so?

Prices everything jumped up at least, *3 of what it used to be before these disasters stole power and you are here saying you are seeing stability.

Seems like you lot have extra eyes you see with.

Your assumptions is not the reality o.
The rate of change isn’t the same as the change itself. Don’t just take my word for it—think about the price of rice where you live in 2023, 2024, and now. No matter where you are in the country, you’ll see that prices are still going up, but the speed at which they’re rising has been slowing down. Economics isn’t hard; it just takes some common sense and a little thinking.
To put it simply, how many products or goods do you know that have had a big price jump this year?

The World Bank is just a lending institution.
It is not an expert on Nigeria's economic affairs.
Lenders must have more than enough information on the borrower to make lending decision.

Then it's law

We either amend the Constitution or leave it the way it is

But I just want the law to get set in stone

Like the 25% in Abuja... No body would be expected to win 25% in Abuja tomorrow ...
I believe they will likely follow the usual approach of ruling that the governors who initiated the case lack the legal standing, and therefore dismiss it. The responsibility lies with the lawmakers to address this anomaly in a way that satisfies the public. However, the real concern is whether we can be confident that a future president won’t exploit this situation for selfish or political gain. Food for thought.

We seem to over look the major assumptions stated there ..won't waste my time with the external factors own..but tell em is inflation declining?
Who exactly is the economy getting better for? guess the 0.01% it was made to favour in the first place
Yes, it is! The pace of price increases has slowed considerably, and in some cases, prices have even decreased compared to 2023 and 2024. Also, we’ve seen stability in FX, coupled with a positive balance of trade and most fiscal legroom for government finance through lower debt service to revenue. Most leading indicators such as stock market, PMI, consumer sentiments, etc., are all looking positive. In layman’s terms: the most popular staple foods prices are either down or static. God bless the president and his team. Special kunduns 😂 to Cardozo and his team.

There’s more to be done—like we need to bring inflation under 15% and reduce MPR to about same to encourage productive borrowing & increase wages. We can still do better!

The people that keep screaming that Borno state is 10,000 times of Abia state are wailing about the length of roads in Abia.

Most of those roads are strategiic. A whole Ariaria market was surrounded by roads that have never been constructed. And Otti came and built it..
These are LGA level projects—we should ask the governor to account for LGA allocations because if the chairmen had access this should fall under their purview.

Agreed, it's not for the state but for the local government. My question to you is: who covered the LGA's expenses when their allocations were withheld?

If it's true, then Tinubu is actually standing with the people against the greed of the governors and their allies. It's not that hard to read—come on. Stop letting your biases dictate everything you do. There will be little to no progress if you can’t allow new information to challenge or strengthen your beliefs. That’s where real growth happens.

Greed! The landlord of Lagos and now of Nigeria still wants more land. It's like the proverbial hunter who killed an elephant and has it slung over his shoulder but still attempting to catch a cricket with his feet. The level of covetousness is nauseating. At this level, he should be looking at leaving a good name for his family and making peace with his maker.

PoliticsRe: Tinubu Trying To Strip Off Powers From Wike by lionshare: 4:19pm On Jun 10, 2025
@Op I have a different view. I believe PBAT acted primarily for economic reasons. He has been at the forefront of driving reforms, policies, executive orders, and various state-sponsored initiatives aimed at attracting investment in the oil and gas sector and improving our oil production output, alongside a renewed focus on gas exploration. Understanding the severe economic consequences that political instability in Rivers State could have on Nigeria and its people, he took decisive action to salvage the situation, restore public order and stability, and send a strong message to both local and foreign investors that Nigeria is committed to protecting their interests—even amid political challenges.
PoliticsRe: How Much Did Tinubu Save For Lagos State After His Tenure by lionshare: 3:53pm On Jun 10, 2025
BAT does not do mere saving money in the bank; instead, he focuses on investments that generate inflows and capital appreciation. As demonstrated here https://allafrica.com/stories/200909170616.html, investing ₦4 billion to recover ₦19 billion requires strategic thinking and financial acumen—simply saving money in a bank is something anyone can do, but it does not yield such significant returns.

No reasonable person will join APC with this bad economy, if not for selfish interest.
The main goal of any political party is to win elections. So if a governor thinks they have a better chance with APC, why is that a problem? Honestly, only someone used to losing would join PDP right now, especially with all the issues around their national secretary. This could end up like the APC-Zamfara mess in 2019. If the crisis keeps going, I’m sure PDP won’t have any governors by 2027.
And let’s be real—politics is a selfish game. It’s silly to expect people to be unselfish in politics. Otherwise, why should anyone vote for you? What makes you better than the others? When you answer that, selfishness is what really matters. Happy Eid😊

A good leader put the country's interest first

Think of what you can do for your country and not what your country will do for you

These words aren't mine...so you can deceive yourself but not others
Do you think opposition leaders who keep emphasizing the bad things happening in the country are doing it for the country's interest? No — it's all for their own selfish interests. Politics is a game of interests.

Now, the question is: why should your interest matter to them? It only matters when they know your interests align with theirs — either in the short or long term. Otherwise, you are OYO.

This is why everyone should participate in politics, starting from the grassroots — because when push comes to shove, what matters is interests.

Do you know how many people from Rivers State have gotten federal political appointments because of Wike?

Don’t hate the player. You can hate the game if you like — but I suggest you learn the game and act accordingly.

By the way, this isn’t peculiar to Nigeria — that’s how it’s played all over the world. Trump and Elon are first-world examples. 😉

But how can any sane person believe anyone will budget N266M per solar light? It’s obvious it’s per project—which is still expensive but depends on the size of the project. This is why the government won’t take your advocacy seriously when it’s laced with propaganda and outright lies. The goal is lost in the messaging because you’re looking for clickbait headlines. ☹️
