bentenny: 😆😆 I laugh in Swahili The premise that the imposition of the state of emergency and unconstitutional suspension of the governor was a ploy to save Fubara from impeachment is not only preposterous but laughable!
After widespread condemnation esp from rivers state about the unconstitutional actions of the president in suspending the governor and house of assembly members, they have decided as usual to flood the media with new narratives that the president was only trying to protect fubara just to deodorize the illegal actions of the president and to placate the citizens of rivers state!
The same sole administrator that is an ally of Wike? Some clowns still don't understand that this whole imposition of state of emergency and appointment of an obviously illegal sole administrator was scripted before now to siphon funds from the state for wike in preparation for 2027! Think btw BAT & wike who’s the sole administrator ultimately loyal to? If he moves mad na bayo go sack am with press release😊 |

Guestmale: It's a support. I made a post yesterday that the governor is the main beneficiary of the SOE; otherwise, impeachment was beckoning, which will lead to chaos because I do not see any court overruling his impeachment, considering the recent Supreme Court judgment that labeled the governor in a bad light. |

crownprince2017: It's obvious some people just let emotions control their brain, what is the correlation between political crisis in a state and destroying national asset to make a statement, that is unpatriotic behavior. Anybody found doing or supporting that for whatever reason should be killed/jailed. Because of one yeye local politics some uncivilized tribes felt they can hold the whole country at ransom just because they did not like the man at asovilla. Yeye people. IMO, the governor is the biggest beneficiary of this SOE declaration by PBAT—he's been saved from an impending impeachment that would have been impossible for him to vacate in the courts. The Supreme Court's earlier judgment not only referred to him as a despot but also accused him of spending without appropriation, which is an impeachable offense. Hopefully, the era wherein governors directly or covertly support insecurities within their domain for political gains will soon be a thing of the past. This is great for the people, economy, and country, as they now know there will be consequences. As for the suspension, it is subject to legal interpretation, but I do not see how two captains can control one ship, especially when one of them is coming from a military background with actual military powers. |

Just as he has done in the cement industry Eliminating, in that context, means selling way below the landing cost of imported petrol, not eliminating imports. Let the competition continue—Dangote should eliminate all these importers by dropping the price to N650. That way, the importers will have no choice but to buy from him until it becomes cheaper to import. |

Heffalump: I think you, and SmartPolician need to understand my point. I'm not seeking validation or to appease anyone. I'm writing from an organic point of view and social order in our society as humans. Why do you think it's very difficult to produce women presidents in countries like Nigeria, USA, China, Russia and a host of others. In these countries, women are considered not good enough, even though there are credible candidates amongst them.
It's a man's world and not woman's! Reason why we need to soften ground by way of encouragement for the humble and submissive ones. In that case, they will not be totally endangered and forgotten. I do not agree that women are not good enough in the aforementioned countries. If we soften the ground, as you are suggesting, don't you think the overall quality of leadership will be affected? What you are advocating for is technical equality by reducing men's standards, instead of equity, which allows everyone a level playing ground without reducing anyone's standard. |

SheikhMuniru: I don't think so, I live at boarder area in Ogun State. The rate at which smugglers are smuggling rice through Cotonou, Imeko to Abeokuta is too much. As I am typing this, thousands of cars loaded with rice are heading towards randa, Lanfewa market in Abeokuta. Customs didn't stop them or cease any of their goods Actually, the Agric Minister said the FG did not carry out any large-scale rice imports. I suspect they’ve lifted the ban on land border imports, as rice seems cheaper around the border areas. By the way, the FG should leave no room for a monopoly in fuel supplies—fuel imports must continue, or we’ll end up with the cement situation. They also need to significantly reduce the import duty on cement, as it's much cheaper compared to local producers, in order to reduce input costs in housing. |

Heffalump: You have your point bro.
Women are not equal to men by any standard, going by natural rule. But to counter your argument, imagine putting some toddlers and adults in a space to compete for a balloon. You'll agree that the toddlers will definitely be outsmarted. Yes, it's often believed that women are the weaker vessels and deserved to be pampered. They came out of men because men were stronger.
However, it's expected that the respect and dignity of men are not to be trampled upon by women, to earn their place favour. It should be that with humility and submissveness, women who are not found wanting should be accorded with special treatment to encourage others. They are certainly not in the same league with their male counterparts. Maybe because I am yet to have my morning coffee, I can't make sense of your submission. But I think @smartpolitician's position is correct: if you want a seat at the table, you MUST earn it. Otherwise, if it is given to you on a platter, no one will respect you. The women folks must develop thick skin and compete just as their male counterparts. |

Sunrisepebble: SAHCO @46.80. EPS of N4.56. 10.25x PE NAHCO @56. EPS of N6.60. 8.5x PE Using SAHCO's PE on NAHCO, this should be at N70. I think the market will do its work when dividend is announced If NAHCO were to trade at the same PE ratio as SAHCO, we can calculate the new share price for NAHCO using the following formula: New Share Price of NAHCO = PE Ratio of SAHCO × EPS of NAHCO New Share Price of NAHCO=PE Ratio of SAHCO×EPS of NAHCO We know: PE Ratio of SAHCO = 10.25 EPS of NAHCO = ₦6.60 Now, let's calculate the new share price: New Share Price of NAHCO = 10.25 × 6.60 = 67.65 New Share Price of NAHCO=10.25×6.60=67.65 Conclusion: If NAHCO were to trade at the same PE ratio as SAHCO, its share price would be approximately ₦67.65. Politics › Re: ‘A Man Of Integrity’, How Najatu Campaigned For Ribadu In 2011 by lionshare: 3:38am On Feb 09, 2025 |
casualobserver: The problem with people like Najaatu, Amaechi, ElRufai, Obi, etc is this.
You are either a bad judge of character and should not be taken seriously or you are yourself a person of bad character and lacking integrity whose views change based on your fortunes or what you stand to benefit.
Look for the video where she disparaged ElRufai. Now ElRufai is rushing to her defense against Ribadu his wrstswhile bosom friend. Obi is looking for alliance with the same structure of criminality. Amaechi is rubbishing the party and the Buhari he served and sought endorsement as presidential flag bearer. ElRufai we know how he rolls.
Beware of people who move with the direction of the wind. Neither they nor assessment of others can be trusted. An enemy who is consistent has more integrity!
If someone gives a prospective employee a glowing character reference causing you to employ him. Only to turn round and say no that person you hired has no integrity, how would you feel? If that person comes tomorrow to give another prospective employee a reference would you listen to them? Personally, I don’t vouch for Nigerians. If you ask me for a mechanic or a tailor, plumber etc, I will tell tell you I don’t I know any. If you are close to me and I have someone I will let you know I have someone but he is unreliable, Don’t come to me if he messes up. In the rare case I recommend or vouch for someone, it is because I know them as I know myself and have a long history. Anywhere belle face people are short term thinkers who are only concerned about immediate interests it’s impossible to be consistent in the long run. |

mikeapollo: The oil and gas sector is not a ''wait-and-get'' sector. It is a capital intensive one with long gestation period. It is also a very volatile sector. The benefits of govt policy decisions may not reflect immediately. Some of the benefits of what this current government is doing may not reflect now. It may take several years to materialize. Similarly, some of the improvements we see today are not the handiwork of this current govt. But the most critical instrument of change in the industry has been the PIA. It has attracted more investors to the sector because of the clear operational and legal frameworks e.g. the establishment of regulators NMDPRA, NUPRC, domestic crude obligation, product pricing, industry dispute resolution etc. are guided by the PIA 2021. And these are some of the major factors that attract investments to the sector. Okay, let's agree you are right. Which major O&G investments did Buhari attract that are now responsible for the improvements today, because all these agencies have been in existence since September 2021, yet O&P dwindled? What about the security situation? |
