Business / How To Start Selling Clothes And Shoes Like Boutiques by lissom: 2:04am On Apr 28, 2008
i need advice on how to start a boutique.precisely,advice on where to buy the clothes and shoes from.Like maybe somewhere in lagos or in togo or ghana or cotonou or maybe outside africa or something.am not looking to start big time,am just looking to give it a try with about 100,000 naira for the clothes and shoes only because i am not planning on starting with a shop.I would sell from home and if everything turns out very well i could move in to a shop.
The fact that i said give it a try doesnt mean i have money to waste,its just something i have always wanted to do and i am ready to give up 100,000 to test run it.
I would appreciate if you don't spend much time advicing me on the factors to consider,what i am interested in right now is the source,where exactly,not ideas,the exact place i can get it,if possible,contact information.(wholesale source,the place where all them boutiques in lagos and ibadan and other places get their goods from)
i would honestly appreciate the kind of replies i asked for
thank you nairalanders.

Business / Re: Cheapest Way To Ship Goods To Nigeria by lissom: 11:01pm On Jun 11, 2007
I wouldnt mind if it is slower as long as the goods arrive.which method of USPS do you use because there are different methods,how long does it take for yours to deliver and i wouldnt mind and idea of the price range like the price for a particular weight say 60lbs.
Business / Cheapest Way To Ship Goods To Nigeria by lissom: 6:11pm On Jun 11, 2007
I was just going through the internet and found out some shoes i was interested in buying to come and sell in nigeria,they totalled $300 with a weight of about 50kg and when i calculated the shipping cost down to nigeria directly Using Fedex,DHL,USPS and UPS the cheapest i got was about $700 which doesnt make sense because with that i would go at a VERY HUGE loss.I dont know much about shipping and would like to ask people here that do businesses that require them shipping things to nigeria which method of shipping is the best to ship items as large as that from say USA,China and other places directly to nigeria without going at a loss when i sell the items.How much it would cost.how long it would take,what i have to go through before i collect it and the charges i would have to pay.Wouldnt mind if there is a site you can forward me to.

Romance / Re: Dating A Demanding Girl by lissom: 11:26pm On May 24, 2007
(Just for the record The Most demanding girls are students)
As you can see,am neither male nor female so am not supporting any gender. wink
Yea talking about girls,some of them are demading but not all of them.They all have different levels to which they demand.
Like walking in a store and seeing something she likes and shes is like hey Tom,See that skirt,its nice.You know that sounds moderate,respectful and polite.You know she likes it and she wants it but she is indirectly saying it also putting in mind that it is possible he doesnt have the money so he doesnt end up feeling embarassed and incapable.Those are girls that respect themselves, A smart guy should know he should check it out and if she really likes it he should do something about it provided hez got some cash on him.That is fair or would i say normal.But if it is getting too much he should find something to do about it.On the other hand,he goes to the store with a girl and she sees the skirt and she is like Tom,i like that skirt,buy it for me,the demanding girls dont even say it in a jokingly manner nor do they beg teasingly,they demand for it like its their right.It would be hard to refuse and on the other hand if he doent have the cash,he would end up looking like some selfish ass guy and also end up dissapointing her.
There are also some girls that when you are with them,they would be like,Tom,buy credit for me,buy ____ for me and stuffs and when he is going over to her place,the respectable ones might just say get something for me but the demanding ones would specify what they want and are atually expecting what they asked for on your arrival.They would feel more dissapointed if he didnt get it for her than when she gets it and he didnt make it over to her place.-------------Come and take me out (She is Hungry),she doesnt want to eat out with you,so you guys could sit opposite each other and look into each other's eyes while eating and laughing,she is actually hungry and doesnt want to spend her money or probably doesnt have money on her and she wants you to feed her.Those kind of girls piss guys off.There are some that j
ust ask you for everything that comes to their mind.They remember all the things they needed and start asking you to get it for them and accuse you of being unromantic or not caring cos you dint get it for them.
A true relationship should be one where you both understand yourselves and can talk to each other about almost everything that is bothering you.In relationships the benefits are meant to be mutual.you both help each other when the need arises and helping should not be only about money.Also seeing the man as the MAN in the relationship doesnt mean he should be able to get things he cant afford or do things he is no capable of,Not saying because he is the man he should do everything and on the other hand A man should also be a man too and should try as much as possible to be in control in most cases because that is one of the features ladies want in their men.They need someone they can turn to when they are feelin down and would be there to stand by them and support them.

WHITEROSES are you thereeee
Health / Re: Whitening Your Eye/Effect On Self Esteem by lissom: 10:50pm On Mar 16, 2007
whiteroses:

yes i do use eye whitening drops just get to wilkinson and get it for £3.99. eye whitening does make a different to your entire look my eyes are crystral clear, but all these things are just vanity y'all. except from if your eyes are like noticeably yellow like urine samples or red then you can use eye whiteners.
@owner of thread, i like da way you think. i just thought of it people could actually be uncool or unemployed with yellow eyes

@whiteroses
seems like you really understand the deal behind the whole eye whitening thing.
but here in nigeria we cant get wilkinson only if you want to be a supplier smiley

@beebaybee
i totally understand how you feel.though my eyes are not as yellow as yours sounds but i know how white a healthy eye should look and i also understand the psychological effect it has on people.I know the way i and other people act when we see someone with yellow eyes.Its just an unconscious reaction.i have a few friends with yellow eyes and i know how i feel when i go to some places with them and also know the same way people with brighter eyes than mine act when they are with me.
There is a solution,no doubt about that so dont loose hope,especially when people tell you that you have to learn to accept the fact that you have yellow eyes.There is almost a cure to every ailment.yellow eyes is even nothing close to an ailment.The main question now is where to get a good eye whitener because i have heard about people whitening their eyes and have also seen products on the internet but what we need right now is some professional advice or some way we could get the eye whitner here in nigeria

@whiteroses
am kind of serious about the wilkinson thing
Health / Re: Whitening Your Eye/Effect On Self Esteem by lissom: 9:05pm On Mar 14, 2007
thanks for replying

Dont have any ailment of any sort.Am very healthy.its just due to dirts,smoke,Many hours of sitting in front of the computer and also not getting enough sleep.Have stopped using the computer and it has actually made the colour of my eyes permanently yellow,I spend less than 30minutes in front of it now and dont use it regularly also reduce the contrast,i sleep well now but it just seems to be permanent.and it has actually made the colour of my eyes permanently yellow.Really most opticians are not of any help.what they would all say is its permanent or use this and if it doesnt work don't bother yourself.My friend told me about Optrex But i still need more options.
Health / Whitening Your Eye/Effect On Self Esteem by lissom: 8:18pm On Mar 14, 2007
I know some of us here might have had similar problems with their eyes.You just notice your eyes getting yellow and red as if you just finished smoking.Could be sometimes embarassing when people ask me do i smoke or am i a sickler and things like that.Looking into the mirror really makes me loose my confidence

Mine has been like that for a few years now and i have gone to see opticians but all of them just prescribe the same ineffective eyedrops.Right now i want to get an eye whitener because thats what some people have been telling me but i just want to find out from people that have whitened their eyes before or know something about eye whitners/eye whitening the kind of eye whitener i should get,where to purchase it,how much it would cost and also how long it would take before i get a visible(full) result.I am desperately in need of this and am sure your answers would be useful to other people.

Using the picture below
Do You need YPL Eyeball Whitener?

You probably do. But if you want to check for yourself, take a look at this handy chart below: Anything above level one will probably lead to social problems. People will tend to think that you are dirty. You might miss out on a few jobs. Anything above level three will probably result in major self-esteem problems. People with level five Yellow Eye Syndrome have the highest suicide rate among any other group in the United States.
