Sounds good ... but who is doing all this exporting? How much of this is by Nigerians or Nigerian businesses? How much of this billions goes into our treasury? Why do we have to be borrowing...taking loans to meet our budget? Burkina Faso and Niger were also exporting billions of dollars of diversified products ...but almost all the money went to France while the masses lived in poverty. With this our record increase in diversified exports worth billions ...are our lives getting better? Instead of singing praises we should be asking where is the money.

Typically, when your currency is useless or almost useless you tend to export more because the product you worked hard to produce is now very cheap to the world so you can sell more of it. But this only favours a country that is heavy in production not a consuming country like Nigeria. The net effect remains negative because we are not producing but importing everything known to human; what you can in export, you lose in import.

Japan and China currencies are low to attract export because they produce and they gain from it, our case is double jeopardy to the masses because we are still a net importer

And you expect Nigeria to become a top producing country barely 2 years of this administration.....as poor as you claim our production capacity is,we are still doing over 50% of the entire west and central african production combined.

You also refused to acknowledge that same weak currency disincentivise imports also because it will cost more to buy foreign goods than their local alternatives.

Also note that these economic policies of the govt to devalue the currency though the govt will never call it that but it's what it is! We now produce more steel than we used to and major manufacturing concerns are also seeing increased or sustainable outputs

The export was mainly from the INFORMAL SECTOR...as indicated by the statistics of the CBN...what this means is that, The major export of the government is OIL...I was expecting to hear that non oil export was from the government...
