So Abuja did not experience terrorism in the past. Interestingly yall will wonder why there is flooding ...if you can excuse proper planning and drainage, it shows why we are where we are. You dont create drainage due to population density. Drainage helps to elongate the lifetime of projects like road. Drainage helps to divert and prevent erosion. It also helps with development, because drainage would not be necessary and people would not build across drainage plains (except stupid Naija people).

Go and learn from Dubai and other well developed countries. In 5 yrs, we will be back to doing the needful or return to do repairs. What is what doing is worth doing well.

The detectives should have arrested the hotel staff at that point. They've tampered with a possible crime scene so terribly to the point of moving the corpse, I'm sure they also cleaned the room and disposed of every foreign object in it. Nigerian law and enforcement have a long way to go in forensics.

Npf and double standards....the story of the security guard that was mauled down by dogs in lekki,I pointed it out that the police refused to release the name of the victim and the owner of the dogs in their preliminary statements but in this case you can see the names and even the hotel where it happened and this info alone can go along way in getting leads for the police in their investigation....but the one without adequate info can be easily swept under the carpet without anything coming out of it.

This is a face saving move by the judiary because of the public outcry for cash-and-carry judgement dished out in favour of Wike.

No state in Nigeria gives detailed budgetary account like Lagos State. The information you seek will be published on social media in the coming days. In fact, only Lagos State does that which I asked for. But then, I thought the governor would mention it considering how important it is, but he didn't, promoting me to write about it.

Only Lagos State tells people what percentage of the budget that was achieved. Lagos State has professional administrators but that doesn't in any way suggest that money isn't being looted.

Can you pls share links on the past budgets.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is a perfect gentleman! Next time, tell us what percentage of the previous budget that was achieved before presenting a new budget. That's how an ideal government should work.

Lagos budget details has always been skewed in obscurity,the line by line budgetary allocations are never disclosed,you only announce your gross projection and that's it.....you never state how much is for education,health,roads, agric etc,no parameters whatsoever to assess the performance of the budget..... It's just like saying to one man to take 3T and spend anyhow you deem Fit.......this has been the trend since 1999 and it's really worrisome.

The road needs drainage and other auxiliary routes. That's too long of a stretch without adjacent roads. If criminals block the main highway, o ti lo. If there are issues that need repairs, what will be the alternate option or options...maybe they want to sell the lands there so estates can develop along the main road and create auxiliary routes. We need to do better planning.

Lagos-Ibadan has been congested, and there are no alternate roads even for short maintenance work. We need to do better and introduce tolls. Let private companies build faster routes and toll them, allowing others to use the longer free routes. Pick your choice.

Drainages on a flat open terrain with no population density on the stretch......it's a rural road which connects several rural areas and projected traffic isn't expected to be high at least for now......why build alternative route same time you are building perhaps the first road in that axis which will all know shouldn't exceed 20-30% capacity......about terrorism,the terrain is flat and too close to the seat of power for such an operation to be successful,this isn't borno that is too far flung with so much ungoverned spaces.

This is what Imo people witnessed under Rochas Okorocha. Most of his projects are death traps. His international conference center have been demolished by the State government because of poor quality. His flyovers are closed to traffic , his freedom square water falls are now ruins and relics of the past...
