I see them claiming that Wike has won again
Let me just explain it lightly. There are divergent interests colliding with one another.
Atiku on one hand is waiting for 2027 to clinch the party ticket again. He believes and knows that he doesn't need the NWC to do that.
Wike and co already know that with Atiku in the party, they can't get 2027 ticket so they prefer to stay and keep overturning the apple cart if Atiku wins the ticket again
Then there's folks like Bala Muhammad who also has interest for 2027. He also sees Atiku as a stumbling block to clinching the ticket, but also sees Wike as a problem if he wins the ticket
There's also Damagun and his NWC who are smartly playing all sides in the game with the hope of maximising benefits before he hands over power
The likes of Wike believe time is still on their side. Atiku is old and at least by 2031 he can't think of running again. So they prefer to wait out the game till then. Bala Muhammad and Co know that PDP will be weakened if they decide to play the same waiting game like Wike.
It is this conflicting interests that's keeping PDP in abeyance.

I beg to differ slightly to your however cogent posit.......atiku is a spent force and really won't be able to go head on against the hot bloods like Wike,Bala Mohammed,makinde and fintiri.....many of the govs in the party would rather leave atiku to is ambition alone since they have their own 2nd terms to battle for and would rather align with an Abuja which still looks large.

Wike on the other hand is doing a yeomans job by keeping his legs in both parties albeit for his own selfish interest but he is doing quite well at it and it's a pity fubara would be the sacrificial lamb to appease monster Wike to at least let PDP breath.

Bala Mohammed and fintiri sees themselves as defacto leaders of the party from the north once they can get atiku out of the way and force him into retirement.

It's illogical for anyone to say they never expected things to be this tough....on the macro level the economy isn't doing badly,it's the micro that's the problem and many govs are doing next to nothing to alleviate the sufferings of their people when in fact they can do a lot.
