If I may ask, is SIM an appendage of Mr. President, that he has to defer to him if he has issue with Wike? That would be senseless if he has to submit his government to outsiders because of one man. In Wike's 8 years reign, did he allow any person to exert on his government for any reason? The way you're seeing Wike as a mini god that must be pacify at all cost, it doesn't worth it. A single man should not be the determinant of what happened in a state, it makes no sense at all.

Even at that Mr. President intervention was one sided. All his intervention were in favour of Wike and that SIM still bow to the pressure and yielded to some of the interventions.
It was the insatiable thirst of Wike that escalated the whole thing. Wike doesn't want to let go of Rivers State structure because he want to be seen as the alpha and the omega of the state, so that he will be called Jagaban of Rivers State. He wants to equal himself with Tinubu but he doesn't know that Tinubu was tact to have had control over Lagos State and not do the gragra Wike was doing.
That aside, there are state that would not favour godfatherism and Rivers State is one of them and Wike knows this. He should have known that it would be very difficult for him to take control of the state like that.

The presidency cannot determine of Fubara will stay as governor or not. Please how would presidency determine his stays? Are they going to kill him or what? Or what are they going to do? The only option left to remove Fubara is through impeachment and it won't be possible to impeach him now, even if the 27 recalcitrant lawmakers are reinstated to the assembly because impeachment is not a tea party. They cannot just wake up and say they have impeached the governor, that would be senseless and against the he law and the governor won't obey it. There are route to impeaching governor or president. They must first send impeachment notice to the governor and later send the impeachment notice to the attorney general of the state to constitute impeachment panel.
You know what? The Attorney General of the state is at the armpit of the governor and he will be the one to choose who and who to be among the panel. If you think such man will chose governor's enemy to be among the panel, then, you're deceiving yourself. The panel will just be a jamboree panel at the end.
The best option left for anyone now is to wait for 2027 to exert their power through ballot but at that time, SIM structure might have swallowed Wike's structure and to rig may be very difficult. I am even foreseen Wike been expell from PDP soon when the heat is much or when a new PDP national chairman is voted in.

The situation on ground in Rivers state is totally different. Obaseki had some LG chairmen, but obaseki does not have the people overwhelmingly, Obaseki does not have political heavy weights in edo on his side, Obaseki does not have all the political thugs on his side, political jobbers have not too much incentives to align with Obaseki because he is not the one that will shake the cake in the next 4 years, the president does not really have so much to lose in Edo State.

In Rivers case, Fubara has the overwhelming support of the people, the godfathers, the thugs, the political jobbers and even the militants, which is where the presidency is also being careful, because the presidency also needs some vote from Rivers come 2027. Lots of Forces against Wike in Rivers, the only thing he has is the alignment with presidency, unfortunately the presidency cannot wield that power too much

1. Wike was recommended by Senator Mbata to Odili for LG chairman obio akpor and Mary Odili took him as a son... her pet project to make sure he became chairman. That's the same woman he's abusing today.

2. Amaechi made him his chief of staff which was well deserved considering the role Wike played in helping the former reclaim his mandate at the courts after the whole OBJ 'K-leg' brouhaha

3.Amaechi recommended him for minister when he was becoming too over bearing in Rivers state. He was so notorious that he could stop Amaechis convoy so that he could sign any document he wanted. He was and still is a rascal.

4. He didn't want to leave RS for FCT to be minister because he was nursing a governorship ambition and was unhappy with that recommendation. He capitalised on the beef between amaechi and the Jonathans at the time to further his ambition and warm his way into PEJ heart leading to the events of the video you watched up there.


At every step of his career, he was helped by someone... Funny thing is, EVERYONE who has helped the charlatan, he has fallen out with.. EVERYONE.. no exceptions!

No doubt wisdom is the principal thing and is truly profitable to direct but in politics if you don't take ground early, your opposing player will have it all and you will be left with carcass. This is why Ambode could not could win his godfather because the structure that suppose to give him the hedge wasn't with him but his godfather and he lost it all. Political structure is the live wire of politics, they use it to do and undo. That's why it is always very difficult for parties with no structure to have head way because the one with structure will always use their presence to outrig the election. Do you think Wike's camp are also finding it easy, that is why they are shopping up and down for court orders and and doing matching protests like primary school pupils. They all know the importance of having the structure to themselves. But thankfully SIM was wise, he caught them unaware and went for another party to built his own structure and left them in political limbo.
