A Nigerian man has caused reactions on Twitter after revealing he’s all ready to sell his kidney which will boost his financial status.


The young man who goes by the username @Honiitel on Twitter took to the social micro-blogging platform to share a screenshot of a text he supposedly received from the buyer that’s in need of a kidney for an operation.



According to @Honiitel, he is expecting a whopping sum of 29 million nairas for the purchase of his kidney, and he can’t wait for it.

A Nigerian man who was left bitter after receiving unsolicited strokes of the cane from a Masquerade has set an example by beating him up.

A video making the rounds on social media has shown the moment where the angry man engaged the Masquerade in a very serious fight, beating him up in the process.

According to reports, the man was a passerby on the road going on his way in Lagos Island, when the Masquerade gave him some bitter strokes of the cane.



In response, the angered man took it upon himself to set an example of the Masquerade and proceeded to beat him up, even as several people on the road tried to separate the fight.

A Twitter user identified by his handle as @RealDonaldDoo has narrated how a man caught his wife cheating on him after he played a trick on her.

According to the narrator, the man had previously faked a trip abroad and told his wife he has secured a visa (a day before her birthday) with the intention of surprising her with a car gift later on as her birthday approached.

The man however proceeded to carry on with his plans; bought the car, picked his kids from school with the new ride the next day, and when he arrived home, lo and behold his wife was already with another man in their house.

A yet-to-be-identified man has died while attempting to exhume a corpse at a cemetery in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.



The deceased who was said to have been removing corpses’ skulls were alleged to have been held down on the grave by a ghost at the cemetery.



Chief Imam of the Oke-Ona community, Alhaji Musiliu Nasir in a chat with Community Echo said,

“It was early this morning that people came to me that they saw someone fell down at the cemetery, and when we got there we found out that he actually came to operate there.
“Initially, many of them have been coming to dig a grave and steal corpse’s skull, and we have tried to prevent that by hiring vigilante to secure the mortuary, we haven’t seen such misery before, this is the first that was caught on the act. And we have reported it to the police”.

Residents of the area said the man died in a pool of his blood, with several of them believing that he must have been struck dead by a ghost.

They added that the body was whisked away by police with some instruments found with him, such as a cutlass, knife, and a mobile phone.
However, Abimbola Oyeyemi, the police spokesperson in Ogun State, confirmed the incident on Wednesday. He said he could not confirm what killed the man, adding that the corpse has been deposited in a mortuary in Abeokuta.

The Academic Staff Union of Universities on Sunday said there would be no resumption until the federal government pays all the withheld salaries of its members.

Prof. Biodun Ogunyemi who is the President of ASUU, during a telephone interview with Punch News correspondent in Lagos said the Government should not expect the Lecturers to resume without being paid their withheld salaries.

Recall that there were reports on November 27 that the union had agreed to end its strike following the Federal Government’s promise to release N70bn to ASUU as an earned allowance.

But The ASUU President on Sunday explained that the members were still consulting and at the same time waiting for the government to fulfil its promise of releasing members’ withheld salaries.

“We are still consulting; we have not finished consultation, by the end of this week we shall make our report public. There are promises government made with dates. Government promised to release salaries of our members. The withheld salaries have not been paid and we need to have information on that. Government should not expect us to resume without releasing our salaries.”

He emphasised that once the timeline expired this week without the salaries being paid, the union would take a final decision.

Ogunyemi also said that he could not determine when ASUU would suspend the strike.

The Academic Staff Union of Universities has agreed to call of its eight-month strike which has grounded academic activities in the public universities.

The union leadership reached the consensus during a meeting with the government team led by the Minister of Labour and Employment,  Dr Chris Ngige, in Abuja, on Friday.

The government also pledged to increase the total payment to the union to N70 billion.

This is happening one week after the Federal Government accepted the demand by the ASUU that they be exempted from the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System.

A newly released video made by Boko Haram shows the killing of a Nigeria Soldier and Policeman.

In the video, the two officers were on their knees, introducing themselves as they were before two masked gunmen.

According to the officers, they said they were traveling from Maiduguri to Monguno when they were attacked and kidnapped by the terrorist whom they described as “Tilafa army”.

“I am 13NA/70/8374 Lance Corporal Emmanuel Oscar, I was captured by Tilafa’s along Maiduguri to Monguno,” the soldier said.

A young boy, who seems to be around the rage of 10-15years old has been nabbed for sexually harassing a 6-year-old girl in an uncompleted building.



A legal practitioner identified Abdullateef, Esq on twitter shared a photo of the boy via her twitter handle after the boy was caught sexually harassing the little girl.





According to Abdullateef, the boy was nabbed in an uncompleted building beside his house during the early hours of the day sleeping with the 6-year-old girl.

He also mentioned that the boy has been taken to police custody and the girl has been taken to the hospital for medical examination.

The Federal Government has ordered the reopening of Churches and all other religious activities and Rumors has started circulating that Schools are to follow suit in Two weeks' time.

Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba who is the Minister of State for Education has reacted to the speculations going around. He also revealed plans of reopening of Schools are being made by the Federal Government already but it wouldn't be in two weeks' time yet.

During the Daily Presidential Taskforce briefing on Thursdays, Nwajiuba mentioned that the Federal Government has not fixed an exact date for when school will be open just yet.

He thereby advised the general public to shun all misleading news going round especially on social media and wait to get legitimate information from the Federal Government.
