The guy's beginning to look like a human being - the consiquence of money and a better standard of living. Money isn't alone in this capacity, mental enlightenment can achieve you similar results. |
Folawealth090:Actually as a "black" I've never felt as many moments of mortal insecurity in any part of Nigeria, that I've been, as I have felt in the UK. As a black person in the UK or European mainland, you'd be wise to fear for your life if you find yourself alone amidst large groups of white males. For instance on a train, bus or street packed with football fans. Actually, if you're a black male you'll be in danger too if you're alone amidst large groups of black males you'd no part of. I never experienced this in Nigeria. A white man or woman or foreign black person in Nigeria would be safe amidst large groups of Nigerians. Again, as a "black man", I was never comfortable walking alone along any road or path in rural areas of the Uk or Europe either. |
Ghana, Nigeria's rubbish PR firm, actively misrepresenting Nigeria's image worldwide in order to drive away interest in Nigeria. But it's Nigeria's fault for not firing Ghana and hiring another PR firm. Those who know, know. ![]() |
casualobserver:You're given the impression you're suffering from inferiority complex. The clue is because you made it seem as though you're grateful to not experience racism in the UK. |
The black woman's mistake was in merely putting up with rubbish in order to complain about what she felt was racism. I suspect she put up with the white woman's nonsense because she has inferiority complex. The thing is, her passive response was an inadvertent endorsement of the white woman's automatic sense of entitlement to Britishness for all the relevant right and wrong reasons. In order words, the black woman's response encourages the type of insensitive unapologetic behaviour associated with this type of racism as the black woman saw it. One day my father called me and said, if you find it difficult knowing how to respond to people in all the different social circumstances, mirror your response to the attitude and intent of whoever you're interacting. Finding the White woman as evidently rude and offensive as she dose, the black woman should have responded by telling her to Buggeroff! |
Basalt:Interrogation is same as asking. Difference is one is accepted as between equals the other as between authority and subordinate. The black woman didn't know why the white woman was interrogating her. The white woman didn't appear to be a security personnel or old enough to be the black woman's mother or elder. |
Okonandmary:Was the white woman interrogating the black woman a security officer? If not , why was she interrogating the black woman? |
If the world begin to fete them , labelling them extraordinarily brave and ingenious and calling this typical of Nigeria peoples extraordinary intelligence, resilience and survival spirits - you may start finding out their true nationalities ![]() |

Nigerians Go To Court Over Every Little DisagreementNot enough, actually. Lies and fabrications are ruining the image of the country and lives. Nigerians and Nigeria need to even take litigation further by charging to court vloggers and social media content providers that upload disempowering contents on Nigeria that are outright lies. |
Why wasn't India on the TfL UK banned list given India's huge and actual human-rights violations both in India and India administered Kashmir? |
TfL Banned Adverts from Qatar, Nigeria and others siting Human Rights abuses (prey tell what humans rights did Nigeria abuse? Mouthy, Nigerians wey get too many rights for my liking given that Nigeria has few working institutions and minimal government footprint....) portfolio of the Qatar Investment Authority are department store Harrods in Knightsbridge; Britain’s tallest building, the Shard, which was built with nearly £2bn of Qatari investment; Forbes House mansion; Chelsea Barracks; and the Savoy and Grosvenor House hotels. It is also a co-owner of Canary Wharf and has a 20% stake in Heathrow airport. In May, the Gulf state pledged to invest £10bn over five years in the UK including in the technology, healthcare, infrastructure and clean energy sectors. A spokesperson for Khan told the FT the mayor was not involved in day-to-day decisions regarding advertising on the city’s transport network. A TfL spokesperson said it had provided “advertising partners and brands with further guidance” on acceptable advertising during the World Cup https://amp.theguardian.com/uk-news/2022/nov/25/qatar-reviewing-london-investments-after-tfl-bans-its-adverts-report |
Japa’: If You Think Migrating Legally Is Good For You, Go - Femi AdesinaExample of why I continually point out on Niaraland , that the polemics adopt by individuals or groups that want power in Nigeria, ostensibly because they want to govern you, actually indicate they do not care for you. Don't support such figures. People that wish your best interest at heart would be attacking the ruling party and it's policies not Nigeria or Nigerians. I'll give you a reason why this comment attributed Adesina is for the benefit of Adesina not you. The Jappa movement loudly publicised by these politicians as an indirect way of attacking Buhari's rule actually loudly tells foreign nations that they should pay special attention to Nigerians in terms of immigration because Nigerians are traveling to thire country to stay!! Publicly, Western Nations don't want immigration. Thire constituents are highly against none white immigrants. Western authorities may want migration in order to upkeep thire economies but they act discreetly to facilitate this. Blabbing so called Nigerians don't help this, consequently Nigerians suffer consiquence immigrants from other nations won't. Excluding Refugee or boat migrating tactics, majority of immigrants that intend to emigrate to Western countries for good ( i.e relocate) stands more chance of being allowed into a Western country if they don't broadcast this intention. That is, they stand a better chance of achieving relocation if they pretend that they only want to be in the target country for a short period. Once you get in then you find ways of staying there permanently if this is what you wish. Crying Jappa, Jappa JAPPAA up-and-down is (1) only beneficial to Western immigration service that are effectively alerted by this that you, Nigerians, are intending to come and stay permanently in thire various countries. ( 2) unscrupulous opposition politicians that use the very, very, very odd tactic of defaming and demarketing thire own nation as a form of attack on the ruling party of the time. (3) haters of Nigeria whose interest are in defaming Nigeria for various reasons. |
Pioneer, good one. |
Jackanda1:Anti-Nigeria Syndrome happened to you. More seriously though you're probably suffering from a form of Baron Munchausen. |
Kids mocking around. I maintain Nigeria is probably one of the safest country in the world. She is a known quantity for nothing gose on in Nigeria that is not reported online. Strange individuals are busier than devils, restless they are, up and down the country, in search of negative news or distortable ones to publish . In the UK, I was shocked that a woman who was raped and beheaded in the early hours in an obscure railway station near me at the time didn't make main news. We're becoming excitable people. |
If Nigeria is serious about defeating insecurity, any strategy towards this end should reveal that express or highways are the easiest to secure. Why are we struggling here? If your security strategists can't deter kidnapers or bandits operating with impunity along highways, they have no hope in hell of doing so in the urban theaters. |
Indian prim minister, Indian Home Secretary what do you as a Nigerian expect? Indians were groomed by the British for this Buffer role (you cant easily accuse them of racism for they are "Ethnics" too) . They, Brits, even have sold this strategy to America as a means of keeping African Americans disempowered. It amazes me how unaware black people are of prevailing world and national agenders perhaps because we have none. Blacks are just good at facilitating their own oppression by always hating and dragging down other blacks, as is the case with black Americans versus Nigerians and Africa versus Nigerians. I was arguing with a black American woman who was obsessing about Nigerians in America, she was on about how Africans benefit from black American struggles but now want to lord it over them. In short, I tried to direct her fight to Asians and Hispanics but she wouldn't have it (straight hair, thin nose and lips seem to have a magical hold on black Americans and Caribbean ) anyway she informed me that she preferred Indians to Nigerians because Indians were nice (Imagine the stupidity). |
A famous adage from Nigeria that Nigeria authorities strangely do not heed goes, “Eneke the bird says that since men have learned to shoot without missing, he has learned to fly without perching.” Authorities seem to not learn lessons. Even in worst-case scenario where officials and citizens are wallowing under pessimism that these kidnappings and assassinations wont end, at least, national, state and local government should resolve to work out ways that ensure the current criminal routine will no longer be this easy in future. We have brilliant minds yet even ordinary minds should be able to work out ways of making things difficult for these kidnappers and police murderers. That kidnapers, bandits and miscellaneous Deplorables may take to the bushes is no reason to not CCTV all highways and create separate Highway Police Force. Killing and kidnapping is one task getting away should be another task - a herculean task! |
We4all:The significance is probably the politics poster is trying to push. The celebration is a mother's natural joy that her child achieved a dream. The dream being able to play in a world cup. The celebration is a personal one for the boy and family. Here's the politics: poster co-opted the families personal joy in order to position it as Joy that the boy never wanted to play for Nigeria but Canada and has been rewarded for picking the "right country". The "right" country, in this type of politicization, is presumably any nation in the world except Nigeria. |
Innoson needs to begin a sideline producing Electric Vehicles befor it's too late. Nigerians are clever, capable people, I have no doubt Innoson is capable of manufacturing an entirely indigenous Nigeria EV if he embraces the challenge. Right now many Nigerians can afford to buy several EV brands from China that are cheaper than the ice cars they may ordinarily buy from Europe or America, but they are unaware of this. As far as charging, in terms of obstacle, people in Nigeria can get around this with only a little effort. |
The one in purple shirt resemble Mark Angele's Dorian Grey. ![]() |
goody234:Majority of Nigerians are unpublished novelists. We have the Carry-Go or Tattafo culture. My dad had a collection of vintage Nigeria newspapers called Lagos Weekend. That paper used to cover all sorts of salacious and smutty tales that were all made up but were being masqueraded as facts. So I guess that we had form before the advent of internet. Unfortunately or fortunately, Social Media is the perfect media - or storm - for us. Developing a culture of evidence seeking and perhaps litigation is vital for us Nigerians if we are to survive and thrive as a Nation. |
You all need to root for the Africa teams. The better they perform, the more places will be allocated Africa for future world cups. The Asian teams are doing better currently in this world cup than African teams. So fingers crossed for Cameroon. |
