Politics / Re: Gov Aregbesola Mobbed By Excited Crowd During Patrol In Osun State. Photos by littlemistress: 3:16pm On Apr 18, 2016
janellemonae:

I am from osun state. Osun people are not hungry. Most people live a happy rural life and food is not their problem. Some people still like aregbesola because almost every corner of osun state has good roads since he became governor. As far as im concerned that was a waste of money cos he was trying to compete wt rich states but thats besides the point. The govt workers are ANGRY and rightly so.

The problem with osun state is that there is very little economic activity to generate IGR to pay government workers. The government is not creative enough to solve this simple problem. I think half of those govt workers need to be sacked and employed by the private sector. Osogbo has one of the best power (light) situation in this country and yet is mostly dependent on FG allocation. All they need is a young smart governor like donald duke or fashola. Unfortunately the educated and exposed people like that, who are from the state, are living in abuja or lagos. undecided
In your first paragraph, you made sense..but in the 2nd, you reasoned with your anus. Wth do you mean workers should be sacked?? They're in service, they havent been paid full salaries for the past 10months, is it when they're sacked they'll be paid?? You have no human empathy. IGR is small but sacking govt workers isn't going to increase it.

She must go to jail & serve her time. That she's a yeyebrity makes no difference. Let there be no double standards. That family is bereaved now because she threw commonsense to the winds & drove whilst under the influence of alcohol. Let her serve as a lesson to others. Learnt her lesson my foot! Hypocrisy & double standards everywhere.

Captain001:

You made a valid point when you said " except both of them are devoted Christians " that is the only solution to infidelity in marriage, total commitment and devotion to christ by both parties. Every lady wants a God fearing man for a husband; but they don't even know what it means to be God fearing. When an actual God fearing man comes around they see him as boring. A God fearing man won't drink alcohol, won't smoke, won't club, won't play songs that ain't gospel etc. So ladies if you don't want cheating in your marriage fear God with all your heart and marry a man who does same.
I've come to realise we ladies hate the truth. I've got friends & acquaintances who dates married men & women. someday, they hope to get married to men/ladies who wouldn't even cast a glance at any other person but them. cheating is bad on both sides but you dont sow rice & reap beans!

Romance / Re: No Lady Should Get Married If She Is Not Ready For This One Thing... by littlemistress: 10:46pm On Feb 25, 2016
I quite agree with the op tho. It's a bitter pill & it doesn't justify cheating by men but it's the truth. At one stage or the other in a marriage, a man will cheat. Marriage vows are no longer respected. Going into a marriage with the perception that a man will be totally faithful is a mirage.. except ofcourse you both are devoted Christians.
I think the essence is hoping for the best & preparing for the worst. Just because he hasn't been caught doesn't mean he's not screwing some babes somewhere.
Even if he's not willing to cheat, there's a daring daughter of eve somewhere scheming to oust wifey!

In our case... You are advised not to open if u submitted relocation letter. And I got paid without any hassles
in our case, we were told to open an account...everybody that submitted an application for relocation. those that were staying were told to go & open theirs in the local govt they get posted to.
those who were in taraba can attest to this.

Hey sister. When you say you have exhausted all avenues, did you mean you wrote an official letter to the DG of NYSC through your State Coordinator; through your ZI; through your AI?? That is the only office means to get your complaints across to the proper authorities.
That you called, texted and tweeted will not do anything.
I had a case of not being paid allawee when I served too, though I didn't redeploy. We were about 3 corps member affected in my zone at the time. We wrote separate letters and we were paid double the next month. Two months later, I was not paid again, this time just me. I complained, but nothing was done after that month, so I wrote a seriously worded letter to the DG and stated there that I will not stay hungry serving my father land, I jumped on a bus the next morning and left Bida (Niger State) for Lagos. Yeah, I wasn't smiling at all.
The ZI came read my letter, got angry, asked for me and was informed I indeed traveled, he got madder and demanded I return, threatening to extend my stay. Infact, he called an emergency CDS to know corpers who were not around. So I went, defended myself before him and AI, letting them know if I am not paid I will abandon the service till I see full pay, because it is my right to be paid. I refused to rewrite another letter (ehm I can be a bit rebellious sha). They had no choice but to send my letter like that and that caused me to be paid double allawee, TWICE!!! Yep, I collected an extra month allawee, which I took as compensation
So sister, write a letter and make sure it is sent
*whew* lucky you! smiley my letter's ready. I'll be seeing them at cds on Thursday because that's the only day they appear at the local govt. I'm positive they'll take it up.

What a pity for a young lady serving her father land be going through this issue knowing fuilly well that the fund is meant for her upkeep and some idiots here are saying some silly things.

Please, The State Zonal coordinator should come to her help to get this issue resolved and I beleive that other kind media houses like Channels, AIT and others should get the NYSC Director to call Taraba zonal coordinator to have her salary sent ASAP.

My sister, just be patient, we shall do all things to get this issue resolved. If within days nothing is done, I will contact the media houses on this.

It is a shame that NYSC officials cannot help op to resolve this issue.

it's someone who's been thru this that can relate. it's frustrating hearing others being paid while one keeps hoping. cry
I'm convinced something positive will happen this week. God willing.
