AgreatMan: A targeted complain to d right people (not NL complain) done in a civil manner would work over time.
We usually think only for ourselves. The Indians who usually bunch together r already doing something abarrit even tho their country is on lockdown. The Chinese government, if they so choose, can pull just one diplomatic string n everything will fall in line.
My only concern is that it's been 9 months n they r filling up their quota just fine. And that's a dangerously long period of time which makes them rethink whether they really need outland people. Yes I totally agreee with that last paragraph. I fear this might make the Fsw requirements/eligibility criteria way stricter. I just hope there’s no drastic change please |

GraciousWords: IRCC give us ITA, give us PPR, let there be landing gist so we can post congrats and photos........
Seriously though, in view of potential vaccine passport requirements, it may be a good idea to go and get jabbed.......even if you are a staunch COVID denier and anti-vaxxer who has had no personal experience of the agony this illness can cause....even if you don't trust the Nigerian system, some protection is better than none, at all at all na im bad pass.
As for IRCC, I tow a very unpopular path in giving them the benefit of the doubt. 1. I no get choice, I just have to see this thing through by God's grace 2. Nigeria and much of Africa ex SA have been spared the worst of the pandemic but it was tough for Europe and North America, the initial restrictions were, in my view, to protect their people 3. Why allow students and not PRs?....money, they like money and so do I so, I can understand 4. We blamed them in 2020 for issuing COPRs and not letting people travel and they stopped ......now we blame them for not issuing COPRs at all, even though people with COPRs can land. It is clear we are not a priority given the CEC apps they have to deal with. Some people decide to live with that, some decide to raise dust in the hope that it changes things....both views are valid. 5. Should they be accountable for their processing delays? Yes, and to an extent, they have been...... by telling us the 6 month timeline no longer holds and that they cannot give a new timeline. Should they process apps first in first out? Yes, no idea why they don't. 6. No FSW draws, how far? CEC seem easier for them to process so they are towing that path for now. It also looks like they are trying to first reissue COPRs for people whose old ones expired 7. We all hope and pray that FSWs resume soon and app processing too. My small advice, let's prepare for what comes after in the meantime. Someone I know who is 18 months post AOR is already completing licensing exams, for example. Look at schools, research jobs areas you may want to line in etc. Pre ITA peeps can prepare their docs, ready to submit the day after ITA......If you have done all this, then just enjoy the company of your Nigerian family who you may not see for sole time when you go. It's OK to bicker and argue, in fact it may be healthy. It's inevitable because we see things differently. The wait is frustrating.... but the time can also be used wisely.
#ChilledZoboForEveryone #ItWillEndInPraise I absolutely agree with you! |

Ultimus: At the very least, this is lacks depth in thought. At best, it is a needless attempt at denigrating the valid emotions of others.
IRCC made people jump through stringent and elitist metrics to be chosen, collected processing fees from them, promised them timelines and reneged on that, keeping people in total darkness and uncertainty in their lives. Some applications are held as long as 30 months and you say they shouldn't complain or withdraw their applications. How is this even a wise thing to say? What are you even saying? Is IRCC delaying the applications for no reason? Aren’t you seeing that we are in a pandemic? Aren’t you hearing about the numbers of people that are dying? Abi the pandemic nor reach your side? She said what she said. It’s not fair but if you’re going to complain all day, you might as well withdraw your application so you can have peace of mind and ‘certainty’ as you call it. P.S nobody should even tag me. I know it’s not fair and that it’s also frustrating but I’m tired of adults grumbling all over the internet. All these complaining isn’t going to make the applications process faster. |

Ultimus: This whole rant reeks of an asinine superiority complex and ill-advised bias towards one's own country.
I will just respond to the CoPR talk. I want you to go on Twitter under IRCC's or Marco Mendicino's tweets, you will see why people found different means to land and did not let their CoPRs expire. The Canada you're defending, particularly their immigration system, is steeped in time wasting atavistic practices and rank incompetence. The truth is a bitter pill. You better swallow it. Stay there and be confusing yourself with plenty english. Facts is that Canada is superior to our Nigeria. If Our resources were being properly managed by our government, then I wouldn’t have to say it. If Canada wasn’t superior to Nigeria, you wouldn’t be on this thread looking for ways to run away. You might as well withdraw your application and sitdown in your more superior Nigeria. Delusional! P.S nobody is going to put their citizens at risk just to let new people land. Their responsibility and utmost priority is/should be their citizens/residents and not foreigners. Well you won’t understand because your government doesn’t function. |

GraciousWords: I get your point/angst......but
1. There is such a thing as personal preference....same thing as people buying foreign education instead of schooling in Nigeria. Or buying Calpol for kids instead of Emzor. I like what I like and I don't like what I don't like
2. That personal preference is often decided by the substandard nature of Nigerian products and/or processes e.g. even though I took the vaccine, I cannot say with my full chest that the vaccines were stored optimally as they would have been done abroad not because we are bad and they are good but because we don't have the checks and balances that they have abroad. For example, even if they didn't want to confess to their inefficiencies in approving applications they are bound by their laws to provide that information.....ATIP.
Don't let's talk about timelines and Nigeria....have you not met people who spent 7 years on a 4 year Uni degree, abeg leave matter? If Canadian inefficiency tiya you, withdraw your app and live with the Nigerian one nau.
These and many more are the reasons we are all trying to japa. Nothing wrong with being patriotic o but as we are crying we should still be seeing road. The abroad has it's own issues, it's not utopia but some things are clear done/coordinated better there.
By the way, if you want the full gist on your app, order GCMS notes...https://www.nairaland.com/6081746/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/643#104080818
#IComeInPeace #OttawaGangof2019 #RamblingsOfAnApplicant #19Months...MyNameIsPatience #ILoveIRCC Omg!!!!! Thank you for saying this!!!! I was trying my best not to respond to that person when I saw his/her comment. Let’s not deceive ourselves. I don’t trust anything that has to do with Nigeria. The vaccines in Nigeria might be the same with the ones here in Canada but like you said, do we know how they stored them? Truth is a lot of us are wicked, corrupt and greedy. The same people that were hoarding ordinary indomie that was to be distributed during a pandemic are the same people you want me to trust with vaccine? Who knows if they’ve even switched the vaccines? They might have kept the real vaccines in some warehouse even. At first, I wasn’t going to take the vaccine right now, but I had to take it here in Canada because I was visiting Nigeria and I didn’t want a situation where I would be stuck in naija and have to take it there. Me I don’t want them to mistakenly inject me with acid in that Nigeria abeg. I rather risk taking the vaccine here in Canada than in Nigeria because Canada cares more about its citizens/residents! If 5,000 people die from vaccine mistakes/complications in Nigeria, best believe the government wouldn’t care or blink an eye! But here in Canada, before they allow the vaccines to be used on anybody, best believe that they have educated the medics on the processes. Infact, you can be sure you’re in the best hands. He also spoke about Canada not being able to honor timelines, I’m sorry and I also know how frustrating it can be. But Canada is doing what any sane country does best which is looking out for its citizens/residents. Are you expecting them to let millions of people into the country during a deadly pandemic? Don’t you know that’s putting Canadians at risk? I feel like we are even the cause of our suffering because during the pandemic, they were mostly still approving applications and issuing COPRS. They just said don’t travel but we nor Dey hear word. People continued traveling. Of course, they had no option than to completely halt the ppr/copr issuing process. We are only reaping the benefits of not following laid down rules. I was just shaking my head at people that were looking for ways to fly all the way to Cotonou, US, ghana just so they could enter Canada. If you don’t come to Canada immediately, would you die? Is Canada running away? If we had followed the rules and not traveled at that time, they wouldn’t have stopped issuing coprs and most people would have been traveling now that the restrictions are lifted but now everyone has to wait till God know when for them to first issue coprs. |

flosure: Need some help. I have two kids from my late sister (6 months ago) . She has two kids (5 and 2 years). Now they just invited another of our sister and we wanted to add the two kids to already 3 years they have. How should this be done. It’s not done that way. Your late sisters kids are yours. They’ve been in your care. So why are you thinking of adding them to another entirely different sisters application? I’m not sure they are even legally yours already. Even you would have problems adding them to your own application talkless of your sister. The visa officer would assume the children are being adopted purely for Pr benefits and he wouldn’t be wrong because that is clearly what you’re trying to do. I can assure you that there is almost a 100percent chance of your sister being called to Accra for an interview if she adds those kids to her application. But go ahead and do whatever you want. Be ready to bear the consequences though. |

brogxy: Nothing lasts forever. I would like to know if USA's visa lottery is still available for Nigerians? Lmaooo Wetin concern me with USA visa lottery? Do you really want to compare the USA visa lottery with the express entry system. The Visa lottery is basically the United States doing the immigrants a favor but for the express entry system, it’s a mutually beneficial relationship. For the visa lottery, it’s pure luck, so someone without any sort of education or nothing to offer the country could win it. I never said the express entry was going to last forever. I only said it’s going to be here for a long time. I see it still being here 5-10 years later. Canada needs immigrants. Even if express entry goes, a better program will come along. I still believe it’s not going anywhere right now though. P.S you can’t compare the United States with Canada. The U.S doesn’t need immigrants like Canada does. It’s already a very populated country. They don’t rely on immigrants to build the economy like Canada does. So two different things entirely. |

brogxy: Whatever you plan to do, do it quick. Do not think EE will be for long and policies can also change anytime. I believe express entry is here to stay for a very very long time. They might just tweak a few things about but it’s here to stay. Why would they want to change a system that is clearly working and that is one of the best in the world? I read an annual report IRCC made last year about express entry. They noted that almost all the applicants through express entry integrate well into society and get good paying jobs. They noted that overall, express entry candidates are doing better than non express entry immigrants |

I found this one on the website too and it says it’s a 5 year visa you can extend. It also says you can apply to remain permanently in the U.K after 3 or 5 years.

The United Kingdom now has a point based work visa immigration system. There’s also one where you don’t need a job offer to qualify. Omo this one sweet me die. We can expect Canada’s express entry to remain the same or get easier. Canada’s main aim is to stay competitive and attract the best talent from all over the globe. They were starting to feel themselves a little too much because people had no other options. Lmaoo Mendicino and Trudeau better think properly before implementing stupid policies. The other countries are wising up. Before you know it, the UK and other difficult countries will start giving out PR too. It’s only a matter of time. P.S I once saw an article where they said the point based system that Canada now uses originally belongs to the United States. It just never passed through the senate to be approved or something like that. |

FubeeWubee: HELLO House. I’m new here. So I just turned 31, Very single, no direct relatives in Canada, One B.Sc , 6years self employed/ Business experience in the NOC 0 skilled workers. Do I qualify for EE or PNP? I want to leave Nigeria for Canada and from by CRS calculation, I am below 400 points. I plan on writing my IELTS in October and November. I have started the WES process with my school. I plan to get all my documents ready before I create an EE profile. With my scores below 400, SINP is looking like my best bet into Canada but I’m conflicted as I would prefer Alberta. Can I do the Saskatchewan INP? I hear Regina is a lonely area but Can I manage to live there, get my Citizenship and move to another city? Or if I go the SINP route, will I be stuck in Regina or SK province for the rest of my Canadian life? You can move after you get citizenship. |

Dennyjuff: Question please... a friend of mine has a step-sibling in Canada. The sibling didn’t Include my friend as her sibling during her application process. But is now offering to give my friend whatever document she needs to claim that they are step siblings. Please Is this acceptable ? The fact that she didn’t mention her as a sibling in her original application.. does it make it impossible for them to claim sibling point now? They better forget about claiming points before ircc will start investigating the one in Canada for misrepresentation. She clearly committed misrepresentation by not mentioning her sister. Please before y’all argue, there’s a whole court judgement on it. The woman had lived in Canada for almost 10 years or more without declaring her sister on her application. They found about the relationship when her sister filed for refugee status in Canada. The woman was stripped off her status and deported. In conclusion, she better keep up with the lie she started. That’s why they advise people to be completely honest in their applications. Misrepresentation always comes back to bite. What would it have cost her to mention a sister that wouldn’t even affect the outcome of her application in any way? |

Charles61: With due respect, please what is the meaning of this? AR AOR BIO
Is AR the message one gets immediately she submit ITA application that a file number have been created? AR means application received. It’s mainly for paper based applications. AOR is acknowledgement of receipt, this is what you get after submitting your Pr application online. I think bio means biometrics |
