naijainstinct: With all due respect, Please keep your "shitty" opinion to politics section. Don't bring political shenanigans to this beautiful thread. We will intensify our japa efforts for various reasons, not because we think Nigeria is almost finished. Nigeria will be better and will be great. It's "our" country. If you don't agree it is your country, that's fine too. But don't bring your divisive narrative to this place. Let that nonsense stop in the politics section. Peace! Thé truth hurts but you will be alright my dear. I don’t remember me being divisive in my original comment. I spoke about Nigeria as a whole and not from a tribal/divisive/political-party perspective. So why are you being defensive? Or are you one of the tribal bigots in real life? Anyways I’m done with this topic. Don’t make this out to be what it’s not. Nor be only you dey rude. Let’s all respect ourselves. You are not important in the grand scheme of things and sadly won’t be getting a second response from me. You might as well sitdown with your entire family in the country since it’s suddenly so great to you and there’s lots of hope. Eye service gone wrong. |

Profgordons: Who makes a video of visiting Food Bank, you guys are taking this shit too far and all wrong! Dammit. You made a video showing other peoples’ faces, you have invaded their privacy and you could be sued. Please have some sense, this just doesn’t make sense. With your settlement fund, you are not meant to go near a food bank. What’s annoying me is that this food they took could have gone to people who really need it. There’s homeless people starving and then there’s greedy people who have enough but still want to take from the little that the poor people have. Like Nigerian politicians, like most Nigerian citizens. Anyways I’m here to tell everybody that with what has happened today and 3 weeks ago in the elections, I hope you all intensify your japa efforts. Your country is almost finished. Goodluck |

I’m seeing everybody reply to this post and debate on the rate. Some are even considering it. I haven’t seen even one person speak against it. Where are all the righteous people that’d usually say it’s fraudulent and that immigration officers read this thread? Where are all the people that would usually ask him to take this down immediately? This is proof that most Nigerian are okay with corruption/being fraudulent as long as it benefits them. Please what is the current average processing time from application submission to PPR? Someone said about 4months and I couldn’t believe it. Some people are even getting ppr in a month or two. I’ve seen many cases. Majority are getting in three months. The backlog has drastically reduced for express entry. It’s less than 50k applications now. As at 2021, it was almost 150k or more. |

drered: Hi Everyone,
I need advice. I am planning on migrating to canada via express entry (currently in the pool with a CRS of 485) but this would be without my wife and son as this would drop my crs score considerably. The route i plan to follow is to apply for a visitor's visa and spousal sponsorship when they come over.
My questions are how long would it take to get a visitor's visa and can i start this process at any stage while in Nigeria? (Potentially when i get a PPR?)
Also, is there a thread that talks about this in more detail?
Thanks everyone. My advise is for you to have a plan b. Visitor visas are never guaranteed. Especially when the person has a spouse in Canada, it shows weak ties to the home country. Just sha prépare your mind to do sponsorship incase visitor route doesn’t work out. |

SO THAT MY CRS SCORE WILL INCREASE TO 493 FROM 488 THAT WE ARE RIGHT NOW. PLEASE I NEED HELP ON WHAT TO DO AFTER I HAVE RECEIVED ITA AND SUMITTED APPLICATION I’d advise you let things be the way they’re now. There’s not much of a difference between 488 and 493. You’d get ITA very soon. The reward isn’t worth the risk in this case. |

Capital247: Please for those that select the option of "Two or more certificates" can you share the WES comments for the second certificates?
I evaluated ICAN, and the second picture below is the evaluation outcome, the remarks in there is my concern.
Also a friend that recently relocated to Canada through provincial nomination also evaluated ICAN (With same evaluation remarks) selecting the option of Two or more certificates.
Please gurus advice We’ve already told you that you can’t use it. But since you’re saying your friend used it, then you can go ahead and do it if that’s what you want to. It’s sha not advisable. It will read to a refusal if the recalculation of your scores fall below the minimum score for your ITA round. Just let it go and quickly look for another certificate to do. |

Do you think it's possible to do spousal sponsorship for a long distance girlfriend of many years?
Do you think that's enough for common law? Just being a girlfriend isn’t enough to qualify as common law. You both need to have lived together in the same house for at least a year. |

For example, I’m traveling to USA and I have an overnight layover in Cairo where they put us in a hotel for the night and we continue the journey the next day, do I need to include Cairo in my travel history being that it was just a layover ? Took a loan post ITA which I don't want to let the IRCC know.It is not associated to our POF account but rather salary account.I fear they may think we took the loan for our POF(This isn't the case as our POF pre ITA was at 90% already). Any risk I stand by not declaring? Or if I must mention then how do I possibly convince them it's not for POF? Note: My wife is main applicant and took the loan with her salary account.Meanwhile the POF account is my account which she has all rights of access to. You should let them know |

ceecia: I started intensive physical classes at Alliance Française in January 2021 till August 2021. I did A1-B1.2 there and left for physical classes at IEF because I decided to start preparing for TEF. I had hoped to write TEF in December 2021, however, I opted for DELF to have a taste of what a French exam will be like. I wasn't ready to throw away 210k for TEF just yet.
I finished my classes at IEF in December then I basically started having online speaking classes as I wasn't sure when I would be writing the exam. I was too scared to sit for the exam and end up failing. My tutor is a native speaker and he's really good.
Fast forward to May 2022, I decided to do TEF in ending of June so I started an online TEF class with IEF. Just when the class was rounding up and I was ready to register, the exam was suspended. I immediately had to switch to TCF. My TEF classes helped a little but the exam structure is quite different. So from July to August, I went back to my private tutor to help me with speaking and writing aspect while for listening, I kept listening to podcasts on RFI and French movies.
Concerning my experience with the exams. From my point of view, the listening aspect of TCF is the hardest because you hear the recording once and that's it. The other aspects, reading is fairly easier because there are short texts and compared to TEF that have Shakespeare type of texts (sometimes I don't understand anything). As for writing, you'd have to practice writing three different rédactions in 1 hour. Speaking was also fairly easy( you can scale through with much practice) The first question is present yourself. Could you please comment on your private tutor? How good was he/she? Please drop their details. I really need someone to help with my speaking |

Last last, a student on scholarship working in Canada while studying will still be making more money than a bank manager in Nigeria Just to put it out there, it only applies to students already in Canada and those who have already been approved for a study permit and also those who already had an application in progress as at oct 7. Anybody submitting an application now won’t be eligible for this. |

Assist, my spouse got a UK ban 16/June/2012. Apparently the visa was already issued before the embassy found out whatever that was misinterpreted and later evoked the Visa before calling him to come and pick up her package. On picking up his package he noticed the visa was already dispatched out for delivery but was called back for evoke, the package he got was in a brown envelope instead of the normal courier service nylon. Counting from june 2012 till date, the ban has elapsed and i want to be believe the ban is not an active ban anymore. Should this be declared in our application? The main reason for this Evoked or Ban was not mentioned in his package that was returned, but deep down from his mind he knew he misinterpreted, but he doesnt know where UK caught him exactly and it wasn't stated in the package they returned back. If we decide to declear it which we want to, What exactly UK picked for the ban is what we dont know. The only document tht came with the package is a form to Appeal to the first tier tribunal. Inshort, How he even knew he was ban was the type of refusal stamped on the passport 320(7a) if you are familiar with UK refusal stamp type. If we are to declare this with Ircc, How do we state it. Avoid wahala and fully declare it please. It won’t affect your application. |
