Qwertyuser: Hello help pls. In clear terms, a husband, wife and baby of 1 month old will require proof of fund for a family of 3? Or will 2 suffice prior to ITA? I just need clarity please.
You need the money only after ITA. It has to be for a family of 3. When creating your profile, put funds for a family of 3 unless your profile will be ineligible. Then start gathering the money before you submit your application.
dk2baba: Good morning guys kindly put me thru on this I have my ielts ready and I just completed my MSc program but the senete committee in my school have not sat on the result since ASUU has been on strike for months now so inorder not to waste too much time I want to evaluate my B-Tech result but the naira equivalent is extremely high 170k now if I eventually evaluate the BSc would I still pay another 170 for MSc evaluation with Wes? Kindly advice me guys or I sud wait till God knows when ASUU will call off ?
If you evaluate the bsc first, you would not need to do a fresh report for the msc. You would only need to upgrade your bsc report for 100dollars. So the new report will show both your MSc and bsc.
WGCDDNE90: Okay, thanks for your response. We are thinking of contacting IOM Abuja on Monday to clarify my husband’s medicals. Basically doing as IRCC has instructed but still book an appointment for another medicals just in case. I don’t know, can you go for medicals when the previous one has not expired? What’s the possibility of an extension?
The possibility of an extension is very rare especially when you live in Nigeria and other third world countries. It’s mostly people in first world countries or clients in Canada that get their medicals extended. Yes you can do another medical even if your previous one hasn’t expired.
WGCDDNE90: Hi, this is my first post here. Hopefully I am posting it under the right section. Please I need advise. I got PPR in June 2022 and proceeded to add spouse (got married 2021) and baby (gave birth January 2022). I am using an agent for this process. The thing is my husband did an upfront Medicals November 2021 and everything was submitted. We just got a mail that his medical results are not complete and that we should contact the physician for the complete result. We are confused because the upfront Medicals will expire this November and when PPR comes, the validity of COPR will be Nov 2022 (no time). So should we message IOM Abuja to ask for the remaining results or just do another Medicals entirely (The cost of traveling is another thing o). Has anyone experienced a situation like this before, where their complete results were not transmitted?
stacey1994: Please quick question....does anyone know people that have done partial family first landing....i.e to not go completely as a family on first landing trip
we plan to land as a family of 4 and not 5 and leave the baby behind because it is our first time to canada and the logistics of managing a baby...feeding and all will be stressful.
Has anyone heard of such partial landing and does it cause issues at the point if entry
Does the baby have COPR already? If yes, then you can land without the baby but you have to come back to Canada before the baby’s COPR expires. And that might not be possible if you don’t get PR cards/PR travel documents on time.
Honeysweetest: well she didn't state that they are seperated nor divorced.
He could have decided to make her unaccompanying whether they were separated or not. It doesn’t matter. His application, his right. He didnt even need to give ircc an explanation as to why he didn’t want his wife to come. Even People who are madly in love and in the strongest marriages apply with spouse unaccompanying all the time. It’s the principal applicants right to choose who will come along to Canada as his dependent and who wouldn’t.
MissMa01: So when they get to their destination, what will they spend - Naira??
Many of them don’t even travel. Nigerians are part of the main problem in that country. Everybody is always trying to find loopholes to game the system. They’ll book tickets, collect PTA, cancel trip and then sell the dollars at a higher rate. Look up the defaulters list online, there’s thousands of people on it but that’s still not deterring them. Now to get PTA is kuku a problem. Most people aren’t getting it anymore cuz Nigerians have sha spoilt it. I just wish we weren’t so selfish sometimes.
musspuss: I feel the need to state here that there is NO misrepresentation of any kind if they have not made anything official. I don't think IRCC expects every couple to be perfect without fights or arguments and unless there is an official separation or divorce, she is 100% married to him and should be treated as such until they initiate legal proceedings. #Just saying.
Did you read her story? This is not ordinary husband and wife fight o. They aren’t living together and she can’t communicate with him. Thats separation. Does Nigeria give a certificate for being separated? Let’s use the case of common law partners, when they separate, there’s no official document but does that mean ircc shouldn’t be informed while an application is in progress? They are separated and that’s enough reason to inform ircc. Not doing so is misrepresentation. It’s okay if you think it’s not. Me I’ve said my own sha o. P.S even when you try to calculate your CRS scores, the option for marital status has “divorced/separated” and “officially separated”. There’s a reason those options are there.
Influential101: @bolded...Sorry but I don't understand how you knew the marriage is headed for divorce or how it would be a misrepresentation landing with her? OP never mentioned they were considering divorce neither did she say they were separated..
Don't people have issues in their marriages again? why making all these assumptions?
Does she need to spell it out for us to understand? Aren’t they separated right now? If a man can run away with your travel documents and leave you all alone without any communication, then it’s obvious that the events before had been signifying a divorce/separation. P.S this is separation. If she doesn’t know the official term, then this is what it’s called. They are separated now and she should thank God because the suffering would have been more if they landed together. He would have shown her more pepper. They aren’t even in communication anymore. She doesn’t know his whereabouts. This is separation please.
Dimple10: he go use him hand koba himself because of wickedness. highest they could have gone together and separated after landing
How would they have gone together when the man is a wicked person? How would he achieve his aim? His aim is to make sure she doesn’t become a PR. How would that have happened if he had let her travel? If they had travelled together and then separated, they would have had a thread of misrepresentation hovering over their heads because the breakdown was already present at the time of landing. Omo na wa sha o. Things are really occurring. I don’t even understand why he would do this? Did he feel used or what? He had no right to take her passport sha. He should have just gotten a divorce and informed ircc, removed her from the application and moved on with their lives. But there’s even a baby in question now. You know say you nor wan carry her go Canada but you go give her belle. So who is he na expecting to be looking after his child alone for him?
temmitats: Isn’t PR an individual thing? I don’t think they can revoke her PR simply because they are “separated “. I mean she was also assessed on her individual eligibility, she has said she contributed her money too , Nawa o
No it’s not an individual thing when you’re part of someone’s application! It’s only an individual thing after she lands! She wasn’t assessed on her individual eligibility. She was a part of her husbands application. She was his dependent. It was his eligibility that was assessed for the express entry program. Her eligibility was assessed based on her marriage to him. If the union is breaking down, then that’s eligibility failed at this point. Her contributing financially for her part is irrelevant to ircc. The man should refund her money P.S she’s not a Pr yet. It would have been different if she had landed before this drama started. But in this case, They definitely can revoke her copr as they were separated before the principal applicant landed. These things are online and on the ircc website please.
Dimple10: me thinks report to IRCC and see if COPR will be reissued. If yes, apply for new passport and declare old one lost/stolen then follow the advice bolded.
cc @grasiouso
I doubt her copr will be reissued though. She won’t be allowed to land as there are already cracks in the marriage. The marriage is clearly headed for divorce. Landing with her as a dependent would have been misrepresentation but he had no right to seize her passport. He should have just informed ircc of the separation and her copr would have been cancelled. Well, the woman should report to the Canadian authorities and see how it goes. But she won’t be able to land as a Pr when she informs ircc of the issue. The man might even become inadmissible as well because he didn’t inform them of the separation.
Allegory: They usually send a mail advising on further details like how to pay after you’ve booked, maybe you didn’t get the mail cos of the invalid date thing. I’ve attached a copy of what the mail looks like. Search your email for it or just book again if you didn’t get it
We really let these people get always with everything and that’s why they have the boldness to continue doing rubbish every single time. How can someone pay the same amount for medicals and pcc? They didn’t even increase it to maybe 10/15k. 40k just like that? Haba!
shutupareyouGOD: I had no idea this was possible..thought it could lead to disqualification..has anyone done this pls?
The answer is right in front of you. The first one is the official ircc website but you chose to give more weight to the unofficial quora source. You cannot have two profiles at the same time. But you can have yours while your partner has his/her own as well.
LadyEdmonton: Guys, today made it 2 weeks we landed in Calgary, Albert and its been beautiful. We are rooting for you guys. We thought we would share our story in Part 8. lol. Here's our landing gist. We hope it motivates some of us here. Don't loose hope.
doctorfunmi: Hi everyone, please I have a question as regards claiming point for work experience.
I know a minimum of 1,560 hours at 30hours/week for 12months is considered 1year work experience.
My question is can someone claim additional years of experience based on number of hours worked if one has an overlapping job, especially someone in tech working remotely full-time for 2 companies?
Has anyone done this before? If yes, how do I go about it? Thanks.
No. Any hours after the first 30hrs per week isn’t considered
morinto: Good morning house. Am in the U. K currently doing my master degree. I want to apply for Canada skill labour visa and one of my friend in Nigeria is advising me that I should not used UK as my place of resident instead I should choose Nigeria. That if I used UK that it will complicate things
Ignore your friend please. You are not complicating anything. Your country of birth is Nigeria while your country of residence is the UK.
Prettiepearlz: Well said. This person is most likely Indian. Have you been in an Indian group before? Oversabi is what kills them the most, they don’t listen to voice of reasoning because they believe they know it all or what their agents tells them is the best. Just recently, in one of our telegram groups, I and some other members advised someone to retake IELTS to improve his scores, these group of Indians came out to counter us saying 7 across all boards is sufficient and insinuated that we must be IELTS agents to be advising people to rewrite IELTS because in their words “IELTS is time and money wasting”.
Lmaoooo you just know! The funny part is that he’s still making mouth and lowkey insulting people who are trying to help him. The whole thing is just funny.
Dimple10: Just came across this and thought to share, pick whatever lesson you want to pick from it. My learning point is to check that whatever extra certificate or degree you plan to take for extra points can be evaluated properly so time/money/effort will not be wasted. Also research other evaluation bodies. They may be able to give a different result.
Sad part is this person waited almost 2yrs only to get rejected.
I feel bad for this person but at the same time, he’s lowkey at fault. Why would he claim points with a diploma that was already stated on his ECA as unrecognized? Even if he wasn’t aware, why didn’t he ask questions before using it since the ECA report didn’t look normal? He didn’t do his due diligence at all. Imagine getting rejected for something so silly. If he had asked questions, people would have pointed him in the direction of another certification like cima/Accra that would have taken less than 3 months even. Moral of the story here is that when it comes to something as life changing and important as immigration, it’s definitely not the time to be careless or doing « I too know ». If you aren’t sure about any thing, Make sure you always ask questions, even if it means flooding the group. Asking questions won’t remove money from your bank account. Someone would always reply you.
The way they’ve been talking about these so called changes to the express entry since last year ehn. I just hope the announcement doesn’t make a lot of people ineligible o. Anyways the announcement is in less than an hour, fingers crossed
CountVersailles: Congrats! Sadly, desperation is all I see here. Make una try dey take an easy. Why cry over things you can't control? Be taking it easy abeg. Life is not that hard, don't make it harder on yourself. You were always going to get PPR and crying and overthinking didn't make it easy. No offense.
The situation of Nigeria is enough reason to cry please lmaooo
