According to 1 Kings3:14, for God to lengthen your days, you must walk in His ways by copying the righteous character and deeds of our Lord Jesus Christ. You must also keep His commandments - complying with all His dos and avoiding all His don'ts. Is there anything God asked you to do which is yet undone? You must never forget any of His laws but keep them in your heart according to Proverbs 3:1-2. Surround yourself with the scriptures. Besides these, as indicated in Psalm 21:4, don't forget to ask for length of days to enable you serve Him and His people longer. Don't be like Hezekiah who used his extension period to create trouble for his family. Above all, ask for wisdom so that you can achieve God's plan for your life.

jes7: Fasting is not the issue here, but fasting because you are marking Christ death. You don't need to be sober or fast on Easter as a religious obligation. Repent from you sins, stop doing evil not just on Easter but everyday of your life. If you are living a righteous life you don't have to be sober or sad on Easter but rejoice that Christ died for our sins and has taken away the guilt and punishment for our sins.But if you are still in your sins, commemorating Easter will worthless, useless and meaningless because as long as you are still a sinner, the purpose of Christ death has not been fulfilled in your life!

mr man we dont fast on easter...learn the difference bw the week preceedin easter and easter week!....Learn about the church calendar!...we celebrate easter with a joyous acclamation "halleluyah" not fasting, we only fast before the day commemorating ressurection.

Reference: There is no where in scripture where Jesus said fast or abstain from anything in remembrance of me. These are man made laws which amount to little. You cannot get closer to God by performance. Jesus doesn't need your fasting to love you. People should stop making Jesus appear a task master that makes his children jump through hoops to reach him.

And moreover like the Jehovah witnesses will say, the bible did not ask us to celebrate easter and xmas so y do we do them? My brother i tell u again,its not until the bible explicitly say "Do" that the "doing" becomes justified. otherwise a lot of christain practice today will b questionable....
