Well ibo business men are always flaunting wealth so easy targets They need to sensitize the traders to become more cerebral and hide themselves Nigeria isn't a safe country, it's a nation on the brink of collapse. The poor are as Savage and cruel as the rich , hence the terrible state of security The gap between the rich and the poor is unimaginably wide there is insecurity across the country In such times one should be wise and hide your wealth so you don't become a target of criminals They should tell the traders during their meetings to become security conscious Cheers |

Ozymandias I met a traveller from an antique land, Who said: Two vast and trunkless legs of stone Stand in the desert. . . . Near them, on the sand, Half sunk a shattered visage lies, whose frown, And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command, Tell that its sculptor well those passions read Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things, The hand that mocked them, and the heart that fed; And on the pedestal, these words appear: "My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings; Look on my Works, ye Mighty, and despair!" Nothing beside remains. Round the decay Of that colossal Wreck, boundless and bare The lone and level sands stretch far away.” The above poem by titled "Ozymandias" by Shelly is one of my personal favorites. It addresses the tyrannical wielding of power - no leader, King, despot, dictator or ruler can overcome time. What is clear is that King Ozymandias ,this once all powerful leader thought greatly of himself, building up his ego by declaring he is king of kings no less. Surely no one could surpass his greatness. Ozymandias thought himself so Mighty that even others who claimed their works were mighty would pale into insignificance. To contest this claim would be their ruin. The words written on the pedestal, the stand that once held the statue, now seem meaningless and rhetorical; it's the statement of an arrogant despot. This broken, weathered statue lies in a desert, a desolate place that goes on for miles and miles. Not many people pass through that desert, or would want to, in contrast with the past. A once great leader has been left to history and will be buried in the sand in time. Nigerian leaders need to learn that , Dictators, despots and others who abuse their absolute power will fall foul of events eventually and be forgotten. The mightier they are, the heavier they fall seems to be a part of Shelley's message. |
DaddyYeeboz:Why do you assume he is ibo? Did he assume you are Yoruba? This is your final warning , there are consequences if you keep on breaking the rules of.tribalism on this forum Cheers |
Inter state movement isn't a crime in Nigeria But the number would have raised red flags in any other state too Looking at the recent crisis with RUGA , so one can blame the authorities or accuse them of being tribalistic They were simply being careful Cheers |
CanadaOrBust:I gave an example Cheers |

I won't bother to read the comments or the post as I am sure it has been made by a Democrat liberal whose aim is to discredit everything The 45th does (Trump) Anyone who believes this or takes this literally well I sympathize America is the greatest place to live and achieve your dreams Let me explain.. aome like Mr Otedola the Nigerian billionaire will cry he is broke if his wealth falls to let's say $2 billion same with Dangote. If they cry they are broke to them it's the truth it's not false . To a poor man in Nigeria this will be seen as a lie ... To say Americans struggle and dont live well is relative to their expectations Not in any way can you compare Nigeria or African standards to what they have their in the USA Remember when people get used to a standard they will.want more and complain if they can't get it Cheers |
judgementyard:Not necessarily I think the problem isn't selective amnesia but there is no patriotism in Nigeria No belief in the entity called Nigeria This should be taught in schools from grade school , junior high all the way to senior and further empathised in college For goodness sake parents spend more time teaching their children religion and tribe than what it means to be nigerian Cheers |
I agree with some and not all Cheers |
NwaAmaikpe:I usually refrain from acknowledging irresponsible and unintelligent comments but this is low, even by your standards Sometimes seek not the usual cheap popularity that seems to be the peak of your day and remain silent Cheers |
