Your question isn't very clear. Do you have a new passport yet or not? If you have a new passport, yes you can travel with both. You present both at the airport. This is normal and happens all the time i.e visa in previous passport. If you don't have a new passport, you may be able to travel with the one expiring in May 2024. You'll need to call the airline you wish to travel with to confirm if they'll allow you travel with a passport that has less than 6months validity. They should, since you have an immigrant visa and most likely a one way ticket. However, I'll suggest you get a new passport before leaving Nigeria. It'll be much cheaper than having to get it in Canada. Passport fee is higher and there's also the cost of travel to Ottawa. May06: 3 Likes |

No interviews, I have only been applying. I know it takes quite some time for these kind of jobs, but I just want to be sure I'm not wasting time and energy. Thank you. I guess I'll continue *phew MayorOfEdmonton: |

Thank you. I had thought all of these roles require the security clearance. I'll look through more closely. olalekan9320: |

Hello everyone, Please does anyone know of a Nigerian here who works with the Canadian Federal Government as a Permanent resident? I ask because I know that to work with the FG as a non-citizen of Canada, a security clearance is required from your home country. And I recently learnt that the Nigerian govt never responds to the security clearance request. Someone I know says he was turned down at the interview stage when they learnt he's Nigerian and they gave him the reason "it's very difficult getting security clearance done for Nigerians" but this was many years ago. I've tried to ask around and haven't been able to find anyone who knows a Nigerian who's successfully done it recently. Those I found had become Canadian citizens before getting into the FG jobs. So I'm starting to believe the guys who say it may be a worthless venture applying to those roles as a PR with Nigerian citizenship. *phew |

So maybe IRCC made an error and didn’t list updated POF. But please include it all the same. They’ll most likely ask for it later on and that will delay your PPR dabyem: |

Maybe do ND and BTech would be better. It would give you points for two or more certificates. (ND and HND may give you two or more certificates also, but not sure about the HND) dvdami: 1 Like |

For this trip you should have four stamps: exiting Nigeria entering Benin exiting Benin entering Nigeria If you don’t have at least one of these stamps, there is no proof at all that you went into another country, so leave it out. If you have any, then you can include it and write the LOR Heineken007: |

Please hire a Canadian immigration lawyer. It’s always risky providing information that wasn’t asked of you so giving details of why he included you as married in his application may actually cause you more problems. I’m not sure the EE application asks anything about who you applied with. All they ask is that you declare any refusals. Plus, it’s not your name on that application. He wrote your first name and his surname e.g Ravissante Femme, but your own name is Ravissante Partenaire. They are not the same person. And he could have been married to another woman at the time he applied to America. will you be worried about not disclosing that? A lawyer is additional cost, but it’ll save you plenty of worry. But if na me, I’ll do as you originally thought to do: Apply single, get married after AOR and then add him as a dependant. Let him answer questions truthfully Q- were you ever refused a visa A- YES Q- provide details A- I was refused a US study visa in 2021 and 2022. No detail or explanation was given for the refusal (America no dey give reasons on why they refuse you) Finish. Risky yeah, but my mind carry am. For you, please get professional help Ravissante: 1 Like |

I’d advise against it. All the folks I know who tried to renew while holding a valid visa were rejected. Your circumstances may be different, but maybe just wait until it expires before getting a renewal millyscent: |

The US guys mostly don’t look at your statement of account during interviews. But if they do, they’ll be looking at the inflows (money coming in) and the account balance. If your parents are sponsoring your trip, then you shouldn’t write self. Self is for when you’ll be paying for the trip LawyerBB: |

I had this confusion as well. But I discovered you can submit your passport at any DHL office listed on their website. In Lagos, it’s Surulere, VI or Isolo. Submission for IW dropbox is not at Walter Carrington. However she must pickup at the DHL office she chose which is shown as Muri Okunola on your attachment lorladeh: |

The quote you put up is just asking if you’ve lost any passport since you got your last US visa. If you have all your passports with you, then you answer Yes to the question. Having a passport in between doesn’t disqualify you from using Dropbox. My last visa was in an old passport and I only submitted that and my current passport. The DHL lady refused to accept my in-between passport since there was no US visa in it. Jomonix: |

Ok thanks. I understand the recording without consent part. (even though in most countries, you don’t need permission to record or photograph people in public places, not sure what the law is in Canadian) I’m really more interested in the food bank visit. Why is it wrong to use the food bank as newcomers to Canada? ciwi: |

Please guys, I’m interested in understanding why that youtube video is wrong. This is a genuine question, can some just help explain. Is it legally wrong or socially wrong? I watched some parts of the video and they said there was nothing illegal about it and they had registered online. I’m asking so I can be educated. |

I believe ednut is right. Keeping the scores high to achieve what?? Many people join the pool everyday and get high scores without French. There are people with job offers inside and outside Canada, people with Canadian education etc. It’s obvious they’re trying to switch focus to PNP though. And they’ve made several announcements about that. I think we’ll see fewer FSW draws until they eventually begin implementing the Bill C-19. Timmypaul: |
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by Llaye: 10:45pm On Mar 15, 2023 |
Tough, but I’ll say accept the ITA. Of course your wife can go with your son, and then you begin the process for you to join them. If you think you can afford to wait a bit longer for another draw, you can decline. Bear in mind the next draw (FSW) may not come for another month, or even later. Or never, if they switch to the occupations in demand draws in Spring like they announced earlier. saskatoonguy: |

Na wa oo. I’m surprised that people are oppressed by IELTS scores of others posted here. @piekna3, you don’t need a remark. Because with a 7.5 score, you have the maximum points possible for that section. The CRS calculator groups 7.5 - 9 together for Writing. I hope this helps. Piekna3: 19 Likes |
