mizle:Dasuki was in detention because preliminary investigation was going on. Within the legal framework, he met bail conditions. It will be illegal for EFCC to keep him afterwards. So dasuki's release has nothing to do with Buhari's purported complicity in the matter. I assure you, this case isn't over. In fact, it has just started. Investigations are going on and the world is watching. If Buhari (or anyone else) is found guilty of DELIBERATELY benefitting from the illegal diversion of the arms money, then he should go for it. Gallant soldiers lost their lives because they were ill equipped to fight the terrorists in the North (those that stole the arms money shall be made to pay dearly. No mercy). Did Jonathan's government buy the Jeeps for Buhari? Yes. I believe so. Was Buhari privy to the allocation from where the money came from? No. I don't think so. Until a competent investigation proves that Buhari has a hand in the diversion, I won't settle for cheap blackmail. But those who want to lash out their tongues in false testimony could go. TIME WILL TELL. |
For where? If cake hungry me, I go go Mr. Biggs. |
adetayo234:Please let's be careful when passing hasty judgement on others just because of some sensation we get from headliners. So when you hear people wailing for nothing, don't take them seriously. |
mizle:I don't. You relish these baseless accusations against Buhari because of your disdain and resentments to him. On the other hand, I chose to give him a benefit of the doubt because I have a little understanding of how political intrigues play out (for or against key persons). Neither of us has basis for our sentiments, but you stand on your high horse to judge me? Guy it's either both of us are sleeping or both of us are awake. It's your call Mr judge. |
sosanova:Do you remember when Buhari's convoy was attacked and his vehicles were destroyed? Fed govt (under Jonathan) replaced the vehicles. As a former president, you are entitled to 3 SUVs. So Buhari has committed no wrongdoing. It is the government of the time that has to explain. How they bought the SUVs. |
mizle:Reason builds our belief system. Politics (especially at the national level) is not simplistic as a simpleton would wish. It involves so many intrigues, conferences, power brokers etc. So you don't think you could rule a nation as dynamic and complex as Nigeria by some lame rule of thumb. I'm fully awake. Are you? |
Wailing waillers will wail till they can wail no more. ![]() |

I wont criticize anyone who develops feelings for his or her employee. So long as you didn't rely on your position as the boss to toast her. We have seen boss/subordinate relationships that translated to meaningful love relationships. But that's just 1 in 10 cases. Again, there's nothing wrong with the employee turning down the affair. The problem arises when she begings to misbehave. Her attitude won't be good for the morale of other employees and it won't be good for business either. So if she has set herself on a collision course with your business, then it's time for you to chose between safeguarding your business or keeping her in your employment. Man up and decide. |

krall: so are you saying that I will move at the same speed with the train while my body is in the air?Yeah. At that speed, the cabin is pressurized. And as such, your body is maintaining a harmonized velocity with the train. The exception would be 1. If you are standing ON the train, then the breeze would act as resistance to your body. You would be blown away. 2. If the train is accelerating. Even if you're inside, you would be thrown backwards. |
Necrophobia!!! |
Your body has acquired sympathetic velocity ![]() As such, you will land on the same spot So long as you jumped vertically. |
browncool: I suspect a fowl play in the judgment, common sense would tell the Jury including the chief judge that the verdict is very ridiculous. Remove such an amount from the world richest man's account, he will definitely feel the pinch. The aforementioned amount is just too outrageousI thought you would first find out the average annual revenue of the company, their total net worth, etc. More so, the richest man is not the richest entity. Large corporations in the US are worth hundreds of billions of dollars! An appeal would definitely reduce the damages amount, But the woman will smile to the bank. Trust me. Tobacco companies suffer a lot of Court settlements in America. |

2sExy1: Well said! I love objective views, balanced with logical reasoning. When an arguement is being analyse, we have to think in 3D in order to propagate clear and convincing picture so as to arrive at acceptable agreements! The author of this thread has laid this matter to rest na. Please let's all close this chapter of bickering and egotism. |
eddieo: If you say better part of ICAN professional are polytechnic graduates and arguably all other professional bodies, that's deceit. the truth isNigerian curriculum has not been developed since God-knows-when. See, let's get off our high horse and come to terms that our Nigerian education system is faulty. Curriculum in both types of institutions is the same -and archaic. As touching the proliferation of I CAN by the poly grads as an expression of their inferiority complex, honestly I don't know about that. What I know is that they have used their professional QUALIFICATION to prove that they completed the syllabus that is required for that level qualifications. |
It's about time the unjust discrimination of polytechnic education is addressed. If better part of ICAN professionals are polytechnic graduates - and arguably all other professional bodies, I wonder why the dichotomy should persist! While the university is supposed to carry out research work and meet challenges of future, polytechnic education is supposed to train individuals for technical competency to meet the challenges of today. Meanwhile, what we have today is that polytechnic students complete the same coursework -and even research(project work)- as their university counterparts! So I wonder the basis for this disparagement! I think polytechnics should award Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) and place their products on the same pedestal as the university graduates. |
Adesam01: Please tell you friend that it is wrong to go against the order of God! Its the duty of a Man to make the first move irrespective of how shy HE maybe and that she should trust God for her Man. By the way, Its better to grow in Love than to fall in Love!Order of God? I don't think so. I think you have confused your personal prejudice with the order of God. While you prefer your woman to be a submissive and docile article, some others like women who are confident and know what they want. @topic: let your friend go with her dominant personality. If she is the shy and reserved type, then staying quiet will help, hoping that the guy will man up and make the move . The problem is that you won't always get what you fancy, but you won't embarrass yourself because it takes a great sense of courage for a lady to walk up to a guy. If she is expressive, then let her approach him. If the guy turns her down, no problem. She has made a move, it didn't work. Then it's time for her to forget the guy. BUT WHAT IS MOST IMPORTANT IS FOR YOUR FRIEND TO BE EMOTIONALLY MATURE, KNOW WHAT SHE HAS AND WHAT SHE WANTS OUT OF LIFE. HAS SHE GRADUATED FROM THE UNIVERSITY? IS SHE GAINFULLY EMPLOYED? IS SHE READY FOR THE UPS AND DOWNS OF A LOVE RELATIONSHIP? IF NOT SHE JUST BURNING IN EMPTY INFATUATION |

Nonso23: Curse ko, course ni.The girl may suffer for her sins, But the guy will surely have his. I'm not particular about the girl's. Utterance, but this your So called karma will not spare the guy for his sins. In case you didn't know, fornication is still a sin, and there is a spiritual bond between people that have sex. I don't even want to go to the the multiple willful abortions! |
