Its no good having a good plan if you cant execute it. And yes Buhari is the target man, he gets all the Praise and blame equally.

And i hope you went to harvard?

No I didn't. I am also a product of Nigeria's failed education system. embarassed

Buhari has to take responsibility, his leadership skills and organisation must be very poor.

How else can you explain how nothing ever works anymore, no parasatal, no agency, no minister..just a bunch of below average individuals heading this country.. just confusion from jamb to olympics to economy to infrastructure..

You, my friend, are the result of a poor education system. If you don't know the workings of an economy, then shut your trap tongue

It's not all divorce cases are due to lost of affection ooo. What will you say about domestic violence? What about abuses? How do you handle such situations? Am not supporting divorce but I believe when things go rough and get worse by the day. One partner should relocate. So I go for separation but not divorce.
Note: only when it can't be resolved amicably. Give space and settle first then later you can come back.

That's my philosophy. Thanks

Good. You sound like a reasonable guy.

Separation, not divorce.

Yeah. That's all I've got to say.

I don't like his comments because he's just stirring a storm out of a teacup. There are more serious issues to contend with, rather than expecting a government to be fixated on "investigating" past governments.

What we want now is succour. We need food, jobs, constant light, portable water, security, good roads, etc. Seun Kuti obviously is not in tune with the suffering of the masses, so he should shut up already.

Personally, I don't see a reason for divorce. It sounds extreme, but I stand by it nintheless.

Common it's what we see daily. People tends to either fall out of love or get tired of a particular situation. And most cases one partner would want out why the other would want to continue. And when there is going to be more problem staying together, one tends to leave the other. Definitely one of the partner would be heart broken. But there are also few cases where both parties would agree that they're not good for each other and hence need for separation. Just few agree together for divorce. Those few are the ones that can celebrate.

But when you Also restrict someone from leaving his or her marriage then, you'll cause more harm than good. Many people pretend to be who they're not before marriage and if you don't have freedom to move forward. Then you're dead. We hear cases of domestic violence every day and cases of abuses. I'll never advice anyone to stay in an abused marriage never. Your life is more precious than that. Such union is meant to make you happy not sad and sorrowful. Please let's love genuinely

O boy, when you say 20% of divorces is premised on mutual agreement, then you are claiming a FACT which you - or someone else - has researched. So for us to accept your credibility, you should support your claims.

Where did you get this your assertion?
Family / Re: When You Get An Invitation To A Divorce Ceremony. by Localamos(m): 6:55am On Jun 07, 2016
Rockmyworld:
I almost agree with you but this is not always the case of many broken home.
What you fail to understand is that 20% of divorce cases are agreed upon by both parties. But what usually happen that many home break these days is as a result of one partner getting tired of the other. It's never the will of both parties. one wish to leave and the other wish to stay. But because there is no compromise they result to leaving each other. It's an unfortunate situation, I believe only few cases would both agree to separate. Hence coming together to have a divorce ceremony is not possible. Thanks

I almost agree with you, but where did you get your statistics from?

A RIGHT IS A RIGHT, you have the right to eat cheese every day but the consequences are there.

You have the right to drink full fat coke daily but the consequences are there

Consequences does not deny you the RIGHT.

It's not a right. It's a CHOICE - with manifold negative consequences.

And what is wrong is wrong. A man should not beat his wife. He should remain faithful to her. He should cherish and adore her. The wife should do same and if any condition should threaten her virtues, (I think) it's better for her to call it quits rather than compromise her body.

I won't judge any woman who has done this, but I tell you, it doesn't solve the problems on hand. Rather, it complicates it - usually to the detriment of the woman.

...my write up was not saying that a woman should cheat because her man cheated, I was clear, it meant that a man should expect to be treated as he treated his wife and not to expect anything different. The choice is that of the woman.

No woman had the RIGHT to cheat - under any circumstances. Neither does any man.

Here you're advocating retaliatory cheating. Let highlight the damages that will certainly arise from that act

1. You have compromised your body. You yourself will feel a guilt of worthlessness and shame. You will weep instead of enjoying the act.
2. You continue in the act and you would sear your conscience. Then you have begun to lose hold on your ability to determine what's right or wrong. That has a far reaching consequence on other aspects of your life.
3. You increase the risk of having HIV/AIDS and other STDs.
4. Broken heart
5. Broken home,
6. Broken head and the worst of all...
7. You could get killed.

I'm not even talking about the negative impacts on Other people in your life like your kids, parents, friends etc.
Family / Re: It Is The Same Blood That Runs In A Woman's Vein by Localamos(m): 10:12am On May 13, 2016
Honey, two wrongs can't make a right. If the husband cheats, it's wrong. If the wife cheats, it's wrong. And by wrong, I mean a sin against God and a crime against the law.

Marriage is supposed to be a beautiful thing, where you love each other in sickness and in health, in riches and in lack.

But what we have today is a situation where husband and wife have turned themselves to enemies. They allow their hearts to be filled with mutual distrust, acrimony and bitterness. Your spouse isn't your enemy, rather both of you should stand side by side to face your Common enemy. "One shall chase a thousand, but two shall chase ten thousand"

In the event where you have a cheating or abusive spouse, I think it's better to move out of his/her life instead of engaging him/her in wrongdoing.

Don't stay because of the kids, it is a cultural lies that have been reported many times enough to make us think it is true.

No one should be beaten twice in a marriage except a FOOL.

No one should be beaten even once!

Marriage is meant to maintain mutual respect and affection. So no man, under any circumstances, should raise his hand against his wife. Same thing goes for the wife too!

Tell me one nation where there is no possibility of an innocent man going to jail? Judicial systems rely on witnesses and If a witness can tell a lie and defend it then I don't think we should blame the judicial system as there no place where such cannot happen.

All the same thanks for the correction.

Judicial system goes beyond the walls of the court room. In this story, you can see the staggering figures of innocent convicts that would die. More worrisome is the racial profiling and discrimination that occurs within the American judicial system.

If you want to praise the courage of a few people to put hope in their judicial system, then that's fine. But if you tell me that theirs is 'sound' (syn: accurate, without blemish, perfect), then I think that would be going over the line.

No human system is perfect. That's why people exploit the systems unfairly.

I wonder what u mean by sound system. Am sure there is no legal system anywhere in the world that reads a suspects mind. You have to give it to them as not too may legal system even visit case from the past. I guess if it was Nigeria we would simply say the court aired in its judgment like justice Umar told us about Tinubu. And the man would be release

The smart pants praised America's 'sound' judicial system. Not me. So he has to define what sound means.

True, the gesture is touching (in a positive way), but it is because their system isn't sound, that's why an innocent man was made to spend all of his productive years in jail. Except there is a new definition to 'sound'.

And I think the word you meant to use is erred, not aired. wink

Have you considered if he had the right representation in court, maybe he could not prove his innocence during his trial and that may not be attributed to the system.

To get justice after 40 years means their judicial system is good.

What is your understanding of 'judicial system'?
Who are the agents in the judicial system?
Is there a difference between 'sound' and 'good'?

If you can answer these questions intelligently, then there would be no basis for contention.

If the system were sound, he wouldn't have gone to jail in the first place. You couldsay their system is better than that of your country, but it's certainly not sound (enough).
