I lived in Abuja for about 4 years before relocating, and the comments above vividly describe my perception of the city.

Gwarimpa estate is one of the largest estates in Africa, but its plan did not come with flee markets, police stations or hospitals/emergency centres. These facilities were improvised using duplexes that were not originally built for such purposes.

To Abuja residents, "life on the fast lane" means driving recklessly fast on super highways, only to end up in ghastly accidents.

You earn N300k monthly as a banker and you struggle to pay rent with half of your annual salary. Meanwhile your landlord is probably a driver with INEC! And you begin to wonder how these peple make it? Remember, curiosity killed the cat!

Go to Abuja and see that the fight against curroption is like facing a fast moving lorry.

Every marriage has its own challenges. Yours in not the worst, but it's definately not the best.

My advise is for you to come to terms with how your life has turned - especially agaonst your ideals and expectations.

You need to do a personal retreat to enable you do a thorough self assessment. If you realised that you have messed things up, then you are probably on the track to recovery.

It is after this realisation that you will need to pray to the Almighty for forgiveness of sins. Ask Him to realign your path with His, and ask Him to help your weakness.

You need to pray for her too because you are already hooked by the covenant of marriage and by the evidence of off springs. She can change and both of you can enjoy bliss here on earth.

Then, you need to love your wife. Yes! Love her unconditionally. She should not be a load to carry, but she should be a soul mate to help you carry it. The power to change your wife is in the Hands of God - as well as in your hands.

For the novelty of it, nursing profession is a hghly respected one in nigeria and very broad at that. You would see nurses who are passionate about their job, and you would also see those who are very quarellsome and non challant about their jobs. You would see those that are chaste and those that are promiscous.

The few I know personally are respectable and responsible.
