Dunno if they are the best or worst, but the quality of production and the outrageous number of releases leaves us to wonder when Nollywood would stop this mediocrity?
I think its abacha...he is one of the people that made Nigeria indebted to other countries...
Go and read history.it was IBB's Paris Club debt that plunged nigeria into a spiraling mess. It wasn't Abacha that initiated it.

IBB still remains the worst leader to ever rule Nigeria.

3. Got the enorsement of the west. Bill Clinton, the then President of America, visited Nigeria - with his daughter.

IBB

PoliticsFG ‘ll Not Increase Petro Price In New Year, NLC Assures Nigerians by Localamos(op): 7:02am On Dec 19, 2012
President of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Abdulwahed Omar, Tuesday
assured Nigerians that the Federal Government would not increase the price of petrol
in the New Year. Omar, who gave the assurance in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN,
in Lagos, said already the masses were facing a lot of hardship, adding that
government would not want to add to their sufferings. According to him, any further increase in the prices of petroleum products can result in
violent protest by the masses, and government will not want that to happen. “Nigerians should expect a good year in 2013. We don’t expect sudden surprises from
government like we had early this year. “I don’t think government will be disposed to doing that because if you look at it, the
hardship Nigerians are enduring now is slightly higher than what they were enduring
at the end of last year. “So, I think it will be unthinkable for government to want to compound the problems
of the common man. “So, let us hope that 2013 is going to come with good hopes and with a lot of
prospects for everybody in this country.” The union president said Nigerians should not expect anything from the NLC, but
should hope on many good things from government. Omar urged government not to sack any worker, saying that it would not solve the
country’s economic problems. He advised government to tackle the unemployment
problem in 2013, saying that it would be a major yardstick for measuring the
country’s development.

PoliticsAMCON Forces Aero MD To Resign by Localamos(op): 9:28pm On Dec 10, 2012
The restructuring exercise initiated by the Asset Management Company of Nigeria (AMCON) since its technical takeover of Aero has consumed its first casualty in the person of the Managing Director of the airline, Capt. Akin George. George was asked to step aside in a bid to revamp the airline.

The former Deputy Managing Director, Obaro Ibru has been appointed as the acting managing director/chief executive officer. According to a statement from the airline, the resignation of Capt. George was the beginning of a restructuring exercise that would make the airline slimmer and stronger with the aim of making it more competitive. George had served Aero for 24 years in various capacities.

Chairman of the board, Mr. Funsho Kupolokun said: “The board accepts the resignation of Capt. George and appreciate the services he has rendered to this airline over the last two decades. We wish him the best in his future endeavour.” Ibru, who until now was the deputy managing Director, had been appointed by the board on acting capacity.

He came with extensive experience in banking and aviation industry ranging from aviation project management, consumer banking product development, strategy, ICC internal control and compliance and business process engineering, among others.

PoliticsRe: What Is Wrong With Having Buhari As The President Of This Nation? by Localamos(m): 7:09am On Dec 08, 2012
Please go read the manifesto of CPC. The document is well articulated and clearly shows it has a road map.

PDP's manifesto on the other hand was non-commital, non-specific. You wouldn't make aheadway out of it.

Interstingly, pdp is now trying to adopt Buhari's manifesto in the following areas:
1. Citizenship vs indengenship.
2. Reduction in the size of government.
3. Reduction in the emoluments of the presidency and legislators.

There is the public outcry now to remove either the senate or the house of reps.

These are all the plans of Buhari's CPC.

Buhari may not be perfect (no one is), but he is the one we need to rid Nigeria of institutionalised corruption and corrupt political leaders. This the first and necessary step for this country to progresss.

Buhari chose a hard-lined, highly vocal and mainstream apostolic pastor from the southwest as his running mate so as to dispell the allegations that he wants to islamise Nigeria. If Buhari has a motive, it is to rid our country of corruption and not to islamise it.

True, the fundamentalists from the north are not helping his aspirations, as they have tainted his reputation because of the part of the country where he hails from, but we have also seen recently that PDP leaders from the north are culpable for the insurgence in the north.

First of, look at the celebrities that were mentioned from Nigeria.

Sexcondly, you will find most of, if not all the nigerian dialects to have a subtle attraction. Just go watch a well scripted and professionally produced Igbo movie to confirm this. You would see a ferrocious warrior fall to his knees at the soft.y spoken Anambra accent of his lover.

BusinessCBN To Sanction 2 Banks, Telecoms Firm For Breach Of Mobile Banking Guidelines by Localamos(op): 6:04am On Dec 07, 2012
The Central Bank of Nigeria yesterday warned it would not allow any interest to
frustrate current efforts at raising the level of financial inclusion in the Nigeria. To show
it would no longer condone further violation of guidelines on electronic banking
programme, Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Mallam Sanusi Lamido said at the
panel discussion at the just concluded 18th Nigeria Economic Summit in Abuja hinted the
apex bank was already probing two financial institutions and a leading telecommunications service providers for colluding to engage in activities inimical to the
success of the financial section reform initiative. Though he did not name the affected institutions, indications are that one of the four
leading GSM service providers and two top financial institutions may have been
implicated, hence the decision to further probe their activities to serve as a deterrent to
others. He said “ we cant close our eyes and allow some people to sabotage the reform
and that is why we are investigating two banks and one telecommunications
company”.

We have many nationalised lebanis spread across nigeria. They become nigerian citizens for economic reasons. You'd see them doing very well in business, contracts, shopping malls, hotelliering and entertainment in Lagos, Jos, Kano, Maiduguri, etc.

When nigerians hussle to run to America to wash plates, the Lebanis hussle to nationalise in Nigeria and control businesses that we overlook. So please don't yab this guy because he's busy making the bucks and the news!

Tunji Braithwaite’s NAP, UNPP, ALP and 23 others Vanguard gathered that apart from poor performances, the affected political parties

PoliticsNigeria 7th Most Terrorised Nation In The World... by Localamos(op): 6:13am On Dec 06, 2012
LAGOS — FROM a disturbing position of 16, four years ago, Nigeria has sank deeper into the abyss of terrorism and is now the seventh most-terrorised country in the world, according to the latest ranking of the Global Terrorism Index (GTI).

From the 16th slot in 2008, Nigeria went down to 11 in 2009; 12 in 2010; and now seven with a GTI of 7.24. According to the report, Nigeria recorded 168 incidents of terrorism in 2011 from which 437 persons died, 614 persons sustained injuries and 33 property were destroyed.

Nigeria is worse than Sudan, which is ranked 11th and Mali (34th).

Ahead of Nigeria on the index are Iraq (9.56), Pakistan (9.05), Afghanistan (8.67), India (8.15), Yemen (7.30) and Somali (7.24)

Of the 158 countries, 43 are free of terrorism. They include Burkina Faso, Brazil, Congo Republic, Gabon, Ghana, Jamaica, Gambia, Liberia, North Korea, South Korea, Poland, Uruguay, Singapore and Zambia.

Produced by the Institute for Economics and Peace, the GTI maps and analyzes trends in terrorism over the last 10 years and systematically ranks and compares 158 countries according to the impact of terrorism. The index is based on data from the Global Terrorism Database (GTD) from the National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism, START, at the University of Maryland.

The GTI uses four indicators to measure the impact of terrorism: the number of terrorist incidents, the number of deaths, the number of casualties and the level of property damage.

These indicators are used to create a weighted five year average for each country, which takes into account the lasting effects of terrorism. The score given to each country therefore indicates the impact of a terrorist attack on a society in terms of the fear and subsequent security response.

According to the report, from 2002 to 2011, North America was the region least likely to suffer from terrorism. Other findings include:

• While more terrorist attacks are being recorded, the number of fatalities has declined by 25 per cent since 2007.

• Only 31 out of 158 countries ranked have not experienced a terrorist attack since 2002

• Most terrorist attacks occur in the context of a wider conflict situation

• Since the start of the Iraq invasion the number of terrorist incidents occurring each year has increased fourfold, globally

• In 2011 Iraq was the country that was most impacted by terrorism, followed by Pakistan and Afghanistan
