Politics / Re: Lagos, Abuja, Anywhere Igbo Reside And Invest Is Part Of Biafra -MASSOB by logica(m): 6:57pm On Sep 07, 2017
Proudlyngwa:

He was simply using a metaphor.
That anywhere you are as far as you are law abiding is home.

But don't forget the motherland.

That was just a subtle way of asking for swords to be sheath.

Biafra is an ideology to some people.
You mean all the rhetoric below is subtle and asking for swords to be sheathed? I wonder what it would sound like if he was not subtle and baying for blood.

Addressing the rally , Madu raised the alarm over the alleged sacking of Igbo traders from a portion of land at Trade Fair and FESTAC in Lagos .

He said the affected traders were evicted by Lagos State Government after they had invested billions of naira in developing the area .

Igbo would not be forced out in any part of Nigeria, where they invested lots of resources to develop, Madu vowed .

Stressing that Lagos and Abuja are part of Biafra , he said , “ Some years back a portion of land at Trade Fair and FESTAC were conceded to our people for development in Lagos .

“ After spending billions of naira in developing this part of Lagos for the economic growth of Nigerian government , today information reaching us is that the Federal Government , conniving with the Lagos State Government , yesterday retrieved the land , the platform, all the investment and everything from the people of Biafra .

“ This is part of the reason for Biafra agitation.
“ And we are warning because we now believe that everywhere an Igbo man is is part of Biafra .
“ That is the latest ideology we have .

“ We don’ t want to confine ourselves to a particular place ; we now believe that wherever our foot touches is our land that is Biafra .
“ Lagos is also Biafra , Abuja is also Biafra .

“ Anywhere our people are that place is Biafra .
“ So what we are saying now is that that part of Lagos that our people developed with their money is also part of Biafra and we cannot leave.”

That's the thing

There is no such thing as 'African culture'
We are not homogeneous in that regard

There are many African societies that are liberal when it comes to sexual matters like this, and others like Nigeria, that are conservative when it comes to matters like this.

A trip to Ivory Coaft, or Cameroon will clear your doubt

How can one even separate one's life from Biafra at this moment; when the Biafrans are still part of Nigeria? Is being a Nigerian not essentially your life?

The way some think is baffling (but shouldn't be surprising). I hear I should concentrate on my personal life rather than talk politics. The same politics that directly affects my personal life? How can my personal life improve when the politics ensures that I have to struggle for electricity, good roads and other amenities?

Google is your friend, just for clarity sake... there are many things you dnt know about awolowo and gowon govt relationship.
Awo pre assumed power will be handed over to him after gowon but he was paid in his own coin.
LMAO. Tell me more please. So Awolowo had a deal with Gowon to become Head of State. Do you have a copy of this deal? Biafrans seems to know about so many deals with no records. From Awolowo/Ojukwu deal to Awolowo/Gowon deal. Na wa o. This Awolowo despite being a lawyer seemed to have a penchant for having deals not written on paper; rather written in Biafran minds.

Please tell.me when Awolowo commites suicide; was it during Gowon's regime or after Gowon was toppled? Enlighten me please.

For the records brother incase you dnt know, awo was accused of treason by gowon's govt after his great service to him.
That prompt awolowo to commit suicide cos he felt betrayed thinking power will be passed to him after gowon's reign.
Have you asked yourself why he committed suicide?
LMAO. Let me humor you; where did you hear this tale from? So I assume Awolowo committed suicide in 1975 (when Gowon was toppled) or before then?

You are the only one making assumptions here. I deal in facts. Whatever you think happened to Awolowo after the war is beside the point; afterall he voluntarily resigned his position from the Gowon government having performed meritoriously. Shikena.

You cannot betray when there was no pact. You may continue to speculate, but no pact existed in the real world, between Ojukwu and Awolowo; except in the minds of Biafrans.

This was their ultimate agreement b4 awo was released.
I can assure you that there was no such agreement. smiley The order to free Awolowo came from Gowon; even though Ojukwu could have refused to release him if he chose to. Problem was Ojukwu felt Awolowo owed him for this show of magnanimity; and chose not to consult with Awolowo and expected Awolowo to court him (when it should have been the other way round). Gowon was wiser and actively courted Awolowo. That made the difference.

Ojukwu cannot heed the advice of awo cos awo was o the part of Nigeria.
I believe he trusted banjo, for him to have asked him to lead the command towards the west but banjo had his own plans along the line.
Awolowo was to meet with Ojukwu the same period (and just before) Ojukwu without consultation decided to strike Lagos; forcing a hurried cancellation. And at that time, Awolowo was more favorably disposed towards the Biafrans than neutral as he had not yet accepted to work for the FG.
