olapluto:All the international journalists who interview GEJ and the world leaders who meet with him easily get the unmistakable impression of GEJ's timidity and cluelessness, as his body language clearly shows discomfort and stress. As a result, GEJ always looks as if being bullied by the international journalists and leaders talking to him, which presents a painful, pathetic sight to every proud Nigerian, whether you are his supporter or not. Just have a look at the two videos below; the first one is of his meeting with Obama, and the second is the comedian Basketmouth mocking him and his cluelessness: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XsJ45qTURV8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GoiDbucqcc0 |
mekaboy:Where did you watch him say it, please? |
This guy is just out to have fun on some gullible folks; logically, whether you are Catholic or not, if you do not die BEFORE the Nigerian election, you will SURELY die sometime AFTER it. |
SomebodyLovesMe:You so powerfully, lucidly and aptly captured the significant difference in character and moral courage between GMB and GEJ. |
It is great to see how the political dynamics have completely changed in all the regions from 2011 in favour of the people's general: For instance, it must have dawned on even the DUMBEST among the GEJ supporters that some of these changes in the political dynamics simply mean that Buhari will SURELY get a far BIGGER share of the SS/SE votes than what he got in 2011. |
RIDDLE 4: Can you guess why the OP CANNOT day talk about this 'alliance' under his/her old moniker? |
RIDDLE 1: Can you guess who is this OP who registered with this new moniker (momentusjay) a few hours ago in order to remind the SW voters that there is an 'east-west' alliance which the late Ujukwu helped to form, and on the basis of which the SW voters are now morally bound to troop out en mass on Saturday to vote for the current Azikiwe in Aso Rock in the spirit of that alliance? RIDDLE 2: Can you guess the OP's motive for talking about this 'alliance' at this particular time? RIDDLE 3: If the OP sincerely believes this can convince ONE single SW voter to vote for GEJ on the basis of this 'east-west' alliance, then can you guess the OP's IQ? |
rebranded:And if you add the potential menace of the FG-funded OPC thugs to the cynical posting of some questionable police and army officers to the SW region to help rig the election for him at all costs, and the unholy alliance between them the dangerously desperate Obanikoro, Bode Goerge, Jimi Agbaje, Fayose, Omisore with the billions of Dollars the FG has been made available to them, then it would be clear to even a dumb mind that GEJ is only interested in getting the SW votes, NOT the peace, progress or well-being of the region. He has now shown clearly that he can go to any length to try to win the SW votes, even if it means plunging the region, and by extension the whole country, into turmoil. And he would still want you and me to believe that he is not desperate to continue as president!. |
Basketmouth is only doing what many smart guys are doing at the moment, i.e. trying to fleece GEJ as much as you can before the final whistle. Just watch this previous youtube video of him scathingly mocking GEJ and portraying him as a shallow, incompetent, clueless non-achieving president: link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GoiDbucqcc0 |
Jonathan deserves praise for giving OPC contract –Gani Adams March 23, 2015 : Eniola Akinkuotu 55 Comments Gani Adams The National Coordinator of a Yoruba group, Odua Peoples Congress, Gani Adams, says President Goodluck Jonathan deserves praise from members of the All Progressives Congress for approving a contract for the OPC to protect pipelines across the South-West. Adams said the contract would provide at least 5,000 jobs for his boys and 10,000 jobs for other youths in the South-West. He said this while reacting to the allegation by the APC that Jonathan bribed ethnic militias with N9bn to scuttle the elections. Adams, who came under fire for leading thousands of youths to protest against the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Prof. Attahiru Jega, in Lagos last Monday, said supporting Jonathan was in the interest of the Yoruba nation. He said the APC should be commending Jonathan for approving contracts for the OPC because only the Niger-Delta militants were benefitting from the oil money before now. He said, “The allegation is that the Federal Government gave us a contract: Pipeline security. What is the security of pipeline to the OPC? We have been running this organisation without getting a dime from any government but most of the security agencies saddled with the responsibility of protecting the pipelines have failed; people were dying every day. “Nigeria was losing more than N3bn everyday to the activities of the vandals and the agitation of that contract started from Dr. Fredrick Fasehun one and a half years ago and you know the bureaucracy of Nigerian ministries. It was a long process and it was just granted and it will empower nothing less than 5,000 youths from my side. “Altogether, that is about 15,000 jobs for Yoruba land. Will you deny Yoruba youths the opportunity of getting 15,000 jobs because of politics?” Adams said the APC was only being hypocritical because most of its leaders had oil licences. He said the major reason they were against Jonathan was because their licences were due to expire in September and they feared he would not renew the contracts. Bayswater:OK, where is Muazu? |
mustymatic:1. Almost all international media outlets, CNN, BBC, etc, and Sahara Reporters, have at one time or another reported about this MASSIVE CORRUPTION and the way it was fueling the BH insurgency, and now Aljazeera is reporting the same thing. 2. And if you combine this mind-boggling corruption in our defence establishment with the way GEJ's utterances, attitude and body language encourage corruption, then you would appreciate the fact that the future generations of Nigerians would never forgive us if we fail to use our votes next Saturday to put an end to this senseless looting of our vital resources that make difference between life and death for our citizens. 3. There is NO WAY GEJ can ever end this massive looting that destroys our military and civilian national institutions, with so many grave consequences; if he cannot deal decisively with corruption cases in civilian institutions headed by WOMEN (no disrespect to womenfolk intended), how would you reasonably expect him to end this deeply institutionalized corruption that involves some high ranking military generals, especially when most of them are partisan and openly in their support for his re-election? |
shadowgwalker:The part in bold is seriously funny, though incredulous . I have never heard that a northern barawo is protected by his fellow northerners if he steals from a non-northerner. ![]() |

1. People need to understand the strong anti-JEG sentiments in the north in the context of the BH killings and destruction, which mostly affect the lives of these ordinary people, many of whom might have voted for GEJ in 2011. 2. A lot of them are literally BOILING WITH ANGER for feeling that the GEJ government has simply allowed the BH to be killing them in their thousands because they are northerners. 3. Even more dangerous than this, is the suspicion among MANY northerners, Muslims and Christians, that some elements in the GEJ's government, whether with GEJ's knowledge or not, have been aiding and abetting the BH insurgency in the north for their various sectional agendas. 4. There is no doubt that if the mass BH killings had been happening in the SOUTH under a NORTHERN president, and the northern president was seen as clearly not doing enough to curtail it; and he showed so little concern and compassion for the plights of the southern victims; and only decided to be serious about ending it when it is a FEW WEEKS to election, DEFINITELY southerners too would NOT be welcoming that northern president any more warmly, and may not even wait until he departs before they show their anger at him. |
nwafuluozoh:OK, where is Muazu now? |
Kagarko:Other disgruntled national officials of PDP would soon do the same, i.e. jet out of the country and leave the sinking ship of PDP. |
If true, this is a very intelligent, well-calculated and safe move by Muazu, for a number of reasons: First, he did not provoke the presidency and the PDP in an extreme way (e.g. defecting to APC) at this crucial state, which would have incurred the full and extreme wrath from the presidency against him; by simply traveling abroad, he did not create any massive dramatic ripples that would give them a chance to make a scapegoat of him when they lose the election next week (which they surely will). Second, he is now far away from the direct heat (and hit) he has been enduring as a result of his being in such an awkward position of having to deal with two constituencies (North and SS/SE) that have equally extremely strong but conflicting sentiments towards GEJ); one constituency wants him out at all costs, while the other wants him re-elected at all costs. Third, he has now made a clear statement to Clark, Asari, FFK, Fayose and all the other GEJ goons whose negative campaigns he found inappropriate and ineffective; now that he has physically left the stage for them, let us see how they can win the re-election for GEJ by their negative antics. Lastly, when the change train finally arrives at the Victory Station next weekend, Mu'azu would be readily welcome to buy a ticket and get on board with us for our onward national journey to the Progress Station. |
This bigoted, discredited right-wing scum is not even being smart here; thus, if some desperado has paid him from the looted campaign dollars to make a last ditch effort at demonizing Buhari from abroad, the desperado should demand a full refund because he merely parroted repeated and rehashed old lie that GMB is a Muslim extremist. Only an old, confused, intellectually lazy, hateful, scare-mongering right-wing propagandist would fail to notice that NIGERIANS have since REJECTED this old lie about Buhari being a 'religious extremist'. The old right-wing scare-monger should ask FFK and others who have been spewing it almost on daily basis, has it ever been effective? It must be very frustrating for GEJ campaign team that all the smear campaign against Buhari by sponsored local and foreign elements like this bigoted Republican propagandist have failed; in spite of all these lies, the popularity of the people's general keeps soaring, and the change train keeps moving, with even greater momentum. It is now only 7 days to the arrival of the change train at the Victory Station. |

lawrex:The part in bold got me laughing seriously; so he is now GJG (Goodluck Jonathan Gbagbo)! |
mrmetoo1:You have so aptly and brilliantly captured the tactical low profile adopted by the millions of GMB supporters; we needed to adopt this style in order not to scare GEJ and his partisan and compromised security chiefs into taking more dangerous actions out of desperation and their fear of defeat. The reality is EVERY SINGLE voter who would have voted for Buhari on 14 February is STILL going to do so on 28 March. If GEJ and his supporters mistake our tactical low profile for dampening of enthusiasm then they would realize how terribly mistaken they are in less then two week's time, when the chain train arrives at the victory station. |
kennydee05:He thinks people would not be smart enough to find him out. |
Even a person of average intelligence should be able to know an act of political desperation when he/she sees one; and anybody who fails to see REAL DESPERATION in GEJ's actions in the last couple of months, such a person either has below average intelligence or is being dishonest (or both). What does the president want us to call the following, among many others, if not acts of political desperation? - his recent shuttling to SW - his new found and now sustained commitment to end the BH in surgency - his recent signing of the pipeline contract to OPC - his recent release of compensation payments to victims of NIS recruitment scam - his meeting with his former secondary school classmates in the villa (for the first time) - his re-dusting of Obanikoro for - his recent questionable posting of AIG Mba and other security officers of similar character to the SW - his failed attempt to oust Tambuwal as speaker, using the the security agencies to intimidate the lawmakers - his encouraging (or at least condoning) of the spate of well-orchestrated attempts by Clark, Dokubo and OPC to try to damage the integrity and reputation of Jega - - - - - - - - - etc, So the president can say he is not desperate, but his actions in the past one year clearly portray him not just as desperate, but as a selfishly and dangerously desperate person. |
I’m not desperate to serve, says Jonathan MARCH 20, 2015 : OLALEKAN ADETAYO, ABUJA 46 COMMENTS President Goodluck Jonathan on Friday said although he was ready and willing to continue to serve as the President of the country, he was not desperate to continue in office. He said, that was the reason he had remained unruffled despite the various things that had been said or written about him. Jonathan spoke at the public launch of a book, “The People’s Choice: The story of President Goodluck Jonathan,” written by Rev. Fr. Charles Imokhai. Over N175m was donated by individuals and groups at the old Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja venue of the launch of the four-part book which chronicles the life of the President including his educational background, political career and family among others. Jonathan advised politicians who are interested in occupying any elective position either at state or federal level not to be desperate. He said the only things needed were readiness and willingness. The President said, “My second message is to all of us, especially those of us who are politicians, that for all of us who want to serve, we should be ready to serve but we should not be desperate to serve our people. “Sometimes, people ask me that Mr. President, from what we read and what we see, we see you still smiling and unruffled. “Yes, nothing will really ruffle me because I am willing and ready to serve but I am not desperate to serve. That is what keeps me going. “All of us who want to hold offices from the least, a counselor of a ward or a chairman of a council, a member of the state House of Assembly or member of House of Representatives, Senate, Governor or the President, if all of us are always ready and willing to serve our people but we are not desperate in that our mission, then of course Nigeria will be a better place for all of us.” Jonathan who described the story of his life as a humble one noted that most accounts of his life so far published are not accurate. He said while the book being presented provided an account that is close to being accurate, he would write the most accurate one after leaving office. He promised that as long as he remains the President, he would continue to come up with programmes that will help young people. While expressing the confidence that beneficiaries of his administration’s YouWin Programme would be shocking the country in the next 10 to 15 years, he also said a product of the Almijiri schools being established by his government would one day become the President of the country. He said that was why he is passionate about education and decided to increase the number of federal universities across the country. http://www.punchng.com/news/im-not-desperate-to-serve-says-jonathan/ |
One of the worst legacies of GEJ is that our national security agencies have now become so badly and shamelessly compromised that they are reduced to mere aprons of the PDP. |
