This is a clear case of victimization. Both the MP who described her as being 'dressed like a prostitute' and the speaker who "laughed, duly inspected Moloisi-Sithole – and then sided with the ANC MP." clearly wanted to sadistically put the lady to unjustifiable public ridicule. The speaker and the other MP were like a gang-up of street bullies who picked a victim, tormented her and laughed as they watched their victim being humiliated. They are just so pathetic, and I only wish that one day they would be subjected to worse public humiliation and ridicule in their life. |
BuddahMonk:Even bigotry has a funny side to it. The part in bold made me burst into early morning laughter. I take God beg una make una remember Nigeria in your prayers more often from now on. Maybe with more prayers from you and the rest of us, our country would be blessed as a nation, and the blessings would trickle down to everyone of us, and eventually cleanse the kind of tribal/religious bigotry and hatred you exhibited in the original post. |
psucc:Miraculously, they have now almost disappeared just 6 weeks after GEJ had finally decided to be serious about fighting them, something the northern victims, Muslims and Christians, had been pleading for him to do for years but he ignored them, until when it suited his political interests and expediencies to do so. |
ikechukwu354:Dear ikechukwu354, I tried so hard to make sense of this message your posted after quoting me, but I couldn't. Could you explain it further for me, please?. |
1. Asari and his goons should know that no matter how well prepared they think they are, militarily, financially and otherwise, it would be SUICIDALLY DELUSIONAL of them to think that they can threaten the rest of the country simply because the Nigerian people exercised their democratic rights and voted against their kinsman. 2. Since it is not possible for the Asaris to forcibly change the outcome of the election, there are three options for them now: !. to SHUT UP, live with it and remain in the country as free, law-abiding citizens. !!. to immediately relocate abroad permanently in protest of the decision of Nigerians to elect a 'Gambari' and 'his slave' as president and VP respectively. !!! to remain in the country and start using all their accumulated weapons, resources, trained personnel, experience, expertise, etc, to challenge the authority of the in-coming Federal government AND DARE THE CONSEQUENCES. 3. As for the good ordinary law-abiding people of ND, they should rest assured that, God willing, their lot would even be better under the new progressive government of APC; as the in-coming government reduces corruption and looting, it would have more resources available for people-oriented projects that would help reduce poverty and unemployment across the country, ND region inclusive. |
Beadex1:1. But do you remember who carried out the first bomb blast in the country? 2. Do you remember how GEJ publicly but FALSELY came out to implicate the northern elite and exonerate his terrorist kinsmen who had claimed responsibility? 3. The ordinary northerners, Christians and Muslims, who are the the direct victims of the merciless killings and destruction of BH atrocities have been asking for the very minimum from GEJ, which is for his government to protect their and families from the evil-minded BH insurgents. 4. But it was very clear not only to the northerners but to every unbiased local and international observer that GEJ and his government was never seriously committed to ending the insurgency; worse still, he personally never even showed enough concern and sympathy to the BH victims in the north, to the dismay and amazement of even some world leaders. 5. And just as you and many people from your region suspect that some 'born-to-rule' northern leaders were the ones bombing their own people, killing thousands of them, maiming and displacing millions of them, just in order to make GEJ look bad and not to be re-elected, so do many northerners believe that some SS/SE elements were aiding and abetting the bombing for their various agendas (vengeance against the north, decimating and silencing the northern elite by discrediting them, blackmailing them and distracting them with so much violence in their backyards) 6. So I believe when the truth about BH insurgency finally emerges, it would shock many people. And the truth might lie somewhere between what the SS/SE supporters of GEJ suspect and what the Northern supporters of GMB suspect. |
1. We called the bluff of Asari and co before the election, that no matter how well prepared they think they are, militarily, financially and otherwise, it is ABSURDLY DELUSIONAL of them to think that they could threaten the rest of the country and intimidate everyone into voting for their kinsman against their will. 2. Are we not vindicated now? Has Asari or any of his fellow miscreants got any reports of some 'Gambaris' in the North or 'their slaves' in the SW shivering and scampering to the polling booths to vote for GEJ so that the Asaris would not destroy the country if their kinsman was not re-elected?. 3. Now that Nigerians have called the bluff of Asari and co and elected a 'Gambari' and 'his slave' as the nation's president and VP respectively for the next four years, it is in entirely up to the Asaris to choose between living in the country as law-abiding citizens, relocating abroad permanently in protest, or remaining in the country to try using their accumulated weapons, resources, training and personnel to defy and challenge the authority of the in-coming government, and dare the consequences. 4. As for the ordinary law-abiding people of ND, they should rest assured that, God willing, their lot would even be better under the new progressive government of APC; as the in-coming government reduces corruption and looting, it would have more resources available for people-oriented projects that would help reduce poverty and unemployment across the country, ND region inclusive. 5. Many of us are fully aware of the fact that the GEJ' presidency hardly did anything to improve the quality of their lives, as the greatest chunk of the trillions that were allocated to the region in the last five years sadly ended up in the pockets of their heartless, greedy local exploitative political 'leaders' and the likes of Asaris who turned to over-night billionaires at the expense of their suffering people. 6. Thus the only ND people who should be concerned about the change in government at the center are the highly corrupt political elite from the region (the Arubebes), the over-pampered vagabonds-turned-billionaires (the Asaris) and the opportunistic 'elders' of the region (the Clarks) - the three groups of ND rogues who collectively and individually exploited the plights of the ND people to make stupendous wealth for themselves and their families. 7. These three self-centred groups in the ND would be seriously concerned not because they would necessarily be tried or investigated, but at least because they know their tap of sources for personal aggrandizement, power and influence, which they have been enjoying under the guise of 'protecting' the interests of the ND people, would soon be turned off. |

Mization:While I join you in wishing her the best, I take exception to your first sentence (in bold) - not every man, and certainly not my humble self, would ever wish to have someone like her as a wife, if that is what you actually meant by having her on one's side. For both personal and cultural reasons, many people I know, and again including my humble self, would prefer to have a wife that would have a better control of her tongue, more respect for elders and a better display of more decorum and class in her public appearances and utterances. |
The ordinary people of Bayelsa should rest assured that, God willing, their lot would even be better under the new progressive government of APC. They should be concerned not because they would necessarily be tried or investigated, but at least because their sources of personal aggrandizement and enrichment, at the expense of the suffering ordinary people of the region, would end. In fact as per as most ordinary ND people are concerned, the GEJ' presidency hardly did anything to improve the quality of their lives, as the greatest chunk of the billions of dollars that have been allocated to the region ended up in the pockets of their heartless, greedy local exploitative political 'leaders' and the new billionaire ex-militant commanders. |
ikorodureporta:As the OP, you desecrated your own thread here, because Buhari NEVER said what you quoted above. Thus, only someone who is mischievous, ignorant or dishonest (or all of these) can continue to attribute the remark to him, after so many people have repeatedly pointed out on this forum (with even a whole thread on this clarification) that he did not make that remark. Even the irresponsible newspaper that made the remark its headline did not give a quote of Buhari actually saying it in the body of the story. So the joke is actually on you. |
GhostProtocol:1. But do you remember who carried out the first bomb blast in the country? 2. Do you remember how GEJ publicly but FALSELY came out to implicate the northern elite and exonerate his terrorist kinsmen who had claimed responsibility? 3. If you, who apparently live so far away from the BH killings, are asking these question, definitely the northerners who are the victims of the BH atrocities must be asking same questions all this while, without getting any answers or protection from the GEJ adm. 4. And just as you and many people from your region suspect that some 'born-to-rule' northern leaders were the ones bombing their own people, killing thousands of them, maiming and displacing millions of them, just in order to make GEJ look bad and not to be re-elected, so do many northerners believe that some SS/SE elements were aiding and abetting the bombing for their various agendas (vengeance against the north, decimating and silencing the northern elite by discrediting them, blackmailing them and distracting them with so much violence in their backyards) 5. 1. Corruption, because I believe it is at the roots of most of our problems as a nation. 2. BH insurgency, simply because it is one of primary responsibilities of any government to do its best to protect the lives and properties of all its citizens. 3. Power supply, because I believe if this intractable problem, which shames our country, is tackled with the seriousness and commitment it needs, and the power sector is drastically improved at the levels of generation, transformation and distribution, the economy would be greatly boosted. 4. Youth unemployment, because the current situation whereby millions of our country's youths in all the regions are unemployed, is an unhealthy development with serious adverse economic and social consequences. 5. Education, because I feel deeply ashamed to see how our young men and women travel to all manners of developing countries in search of university education, including to those countries who used to envy our great citadels of learning (Great Ife, Ibadan, Nsukka, Abu and Unilag) in our years of glory as a nation. 6. Disunity among the peoples, because wittingly or wittingly, the outgoing government has regrettably deepened, heightened, accentuated and even over-emphasized our ethnic, religious and regional differences so selfish political gains. |
udemzyudex:He can not win any state, or even local govt. in the SE, but you and I know that with the way the SE/SS was being cooked, it is even a miracle that he got up to 14 thousand votes. The good thing for GMB and his supporters is that even if GEJ were to be allocated 100% of the the SS/SE votes, GMB will STILL get a higher number of total votes cast; and because he (GMB) will also surely get the required 25% in at least two-thirds of the 36 states, he is going to be declared winner. |
Game over! History is about to be made, and a jinx is about to be broken. What an amazing, unforgettable moment !. |
fyneguy:1. This is more than enough to EFFECTIVELY NEUTRALIZE the unconfirmed GEJ's wins in Nasarawa, Plateau and Adamawa! 2. Similar HUGE margins of winning is also expected for GMB in Borno, Yobe and across the NW. 3. So even if GEJ were to get 90% of the SS and SE votes (which are apparently still being cooked! lol), GMB would still get HIGHER number of total votes cast in the country. 4. With Buhari's winning the north central states of Niger, Kwara and Kogi, plus his massive wins in the most populous states of the SW, NW and NE, there is no way GEJ can overtake him in terms of the total number of votes cast. 5. As the amiable general is set to get the HIGHEST number of total votes cast, he will also SURELY get MORE THAN the required 25% in MORE THAN two-thirds of the 36 states. 6. The Change Train would soon arrive at the Victory Station, after such a long, tiring but highly fulfilling journey. And history is about to be made. |
[quote author=fyneguy post=32161026]ALL Progressive Congress (APC) has won all the three Senators seats contested during the last saturday general election in Jigawa state. The APC’s presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari also has the won the presidential election in the state. Declaring the presidential election result, the returning officer Professor James Ayatsa who is the Vice Chancellor of Federal University Katsina, announced that Gen Buhari scored 885,988 while President Goodluck Jonathan scored 143. 1. This is more than enough to EFFECTIVELY NEUTRALIZE the unconfirmed GEJ's wins in Nasarawa, Plateau and Adamawa! 2. Similar HUGE margins of winning is also expected for GMB in Borno, Yobe and across the NW. 3. bjdon:Even if GEJ were to win in these NE states, and get 90% of the SS and SE votes (which are still being cooked! lol), GMB would still get HIGHER number of total votes cast in the country. Burger01:Amen! |
O my good God! This is so damning. I have been saying it here that some powerful elements could have easily hijacked the war against BH insurgency and using it for their various agendas, without the GEJ actually ever knowing about it. There have been so many occasions on which GEJ clearly showed that he is never in charge of anything actually; just check how many 'I don't know', 'I have not been briefee', 'I am not aware of it', etc have come out of his mouth. And in all the cases, it would be obvious that he genuinely dd not know. Then how could you expect him to know and fully understand the extent of damage his 'supporters' like Asari, Clark, Fayose, FFK and others have been causing to his electoral chances through their rabidly hateful smear campaign against GMB? I think Nigerians should honestly forgive GEJ, because in reality he was hardly ever in charge of anything all these years, either because he simply genuinely never cares about, or not fully aware of, what is going on. Perhaps if he is not cluelessly unaware of what is going on, he would have controlled his aides and rebuked them when their negative campaigns started to be too personal against GMB, and began to disgust even many decent PDP officials and supporters. |
1. Well, IF general Buhari and Prof. Osinbanjo were to disappoint us (God forbid) by failing to deliver on their campaign promises; especially in the CRUCIAL AREAS of fighting corruption, securing the lives and properties of every Nigerian and making concrete and tangible progress in resolving the chronic problem of power supply in the country, then we would SURELY end our support for them and TURN AGAINST THEM. 2. Actually, we would launch even a fiercer, more determined, more organized and more sustained campaign against their government UNTIL THEY ARE VOTED OUT at the next poll. That is a PROMISE!. 3. By using POWER OF THE VOTE to sack the corrupt and inept PDP government in this historic election, THE ORDINARY NIGERIANS have sent a very strong WARNING to the ruling elite generally that POWER has now been TAKEN AWAY from all those self-appointed and self-serving godfathers and power-brokers. 4. Power has now been FINALLY returned to its rightful owner, and that is THE PEOPLE. 5. Most of us who campaigned so vigorously against GEJ and his incompetent government have NOTHING, absolutely nothing whatsoever, against the person of the president; and quite contrary to what Asari and Clark have been spewing, we have NOT been criticising GEJ and his government simply because he happens to come from a minority ethnic group. Far from it. 6. In fact, most of us would agree that the president is a good, humble and amiable person; but as a leader he has proved to be too incompetent and too weak to confront the well-entrenched thieving elite and cabal of the country. 7. We therefore see it as a moral duty, and a service to the future generation of Nigerians, to do what we have been doing, i.e. campaigning actively to bring about a change for A BETTER NIGERIA for all. 8. Our anger at GEJ largely stems from his apparent failure to decisively tackle corruption, among other of our serious problems; most of us simply hate corruption so strongly not only because it is morally wrong, but also because of its real negative effects on the lives of our ordinary people. 9. We do not care whether the corrupt elite come from our tribe, religion or region, or whether they are from a minority or majority ethnic group; as long as they are corrupt, they deserve nothing from us but contempt and condemnation. But unfortunately, GEJ does not seem to get this, hence he we made him pay with his political career. 10. And GMB/Osinbanjo should LEARN from the GEJ’s experience; from now on, there will be NO MORE complacency, arrogance and impunity by ANY party or leaders; whoever is elected by the people to a position of leadership MUST work for the general interests of THE PEOPLE. 11. All elected office holders from now on must be clearly SEEN to be doing enough to DESERVE a second term, otherwise he or she would be voted out by the people. 12. No more second chance for any failure, as we cannot afford to keep moving backward or remaining stagnant, while we watch with envy as the rest of the world continues to develop so rapidly! |
mayowa122:Yes, with the people's general now winning comfortably in the NC states of Kwara, Niger and Kogi, and doing fairly well in Benue and Plateu, even if the massive rigging of 2011 in the SS and SE were to be repeated, there is NO WAY the votes of the SS and SE regions could change the final outcome of the presidential election against the general. So, nothing would stop GMB from meeting the two conditions of winning the election; (1) he would get the HIGHEST number of total votes cast in the country, and (2) he would get 25% in two thirds of the 36 states. |
Things look pretty scary indeed. Some unpatriotic, evil-minded, self-centred PDP desperadoes and their highly compromised and connivers in the armed forces are apparently clandestinely planning something sinister and dangerous for our dear country. We only pray that common sense and patriotism would prevail on at least some of them, so that they can backtrack and try to influence the others to do so, before they plunge our nation into avoidable turmoil and catastrophe. They need to fully understand that although PDP has been rigging election at the centre with little or no nationwide popular resistance, the present circumstances are ENTIRELY DIFFERENT from all the previous ones; the stakes are MUCH HIGHER, the potential risks for miscalculation are MORE POTENT, and the predictable and unpredictable consequences would be far GREATER and MORE SERIOUSLY DANGEROUS. This is simply because the Nigerian citizens are far more informed and have much more readily available and instant way of accessing and spreading information, and the opposition have much more muscle, are more formidable and far more organized, more determined, and much more nationally spread, than in all previous cases of fragrant subversion of people's electoral choices. And GEJ and PDP must be fully aware that the popular mandate Buhari/Osinbanjo has just got from Nigerians is a mandate that emanates from THE ORDINARY POEOPLE from all the regions, and across all ethnic and religious divides; and as such, any attempt by anybody to snatch the mandate would amount to daring the ordinary people from across the country. And as history has shown, no matter how powerful a leader thinks he/she is, there is no way he/she can be more powerful than his/her people; all those who tried it in the past, were eventually proved wrong, as they invariably got crushed by the sheer weight of the people power and condemned to the dark part of history in the end |

Yes, it is getting clearer, and clearer that PDP are up to something sinister. But even though they have been rigging elections at the centre for so many years in collaboration with the security agencies, those who are contemplating doing it this time around need to think twice. They need to fully understand that the present circumstances are ENTIRELY DIFFERENT from all the previous ones; the stakes are MUCH HIGHER, the potential risks for miscalculation are MORE POTENT, and the predictable and unpredictable consequences would be far GREATER and MORE SERIOUSLY DANGEROUS. Kolade354:He might be in Nigeria, but have you noticed how the PDP supporters are over-trusting the rigging machinery of their party to hand them victory? I don't blame them, because sometimes even highly intelligent people commit the kind of fallacy the PDP goons are committing, which is, to think that because something happened MANY times in the past , it WILL necessarily happen the next time. So according to the fallacious assumption of some uninformed PDP goons, since the rigging machinery of the PDP has been us sed successfully to rig the party into power at the centre several times in the past, it WILL succeed also in doing so this time around. Before the election, some of them had been hinging their confidence on another equally fallacious reasoning that because GMB has lost election three times in the past, he would also lose this one; or because no incumbent president has ever lost election in Nigeria, GEJ would not lose one. And they also think, erroneously, that because Nigerians accepted cases of subverting their electoral choice and stealing their popular mandate by the PDP in the past, with little or no serious consequences, they would also would also accept it this time around, with no consequences. What a good example of a fallacy! |

OP, the SW and northern people are not gullible as you thought; they simply decided they elect GMB as they did not want to get STUCK with a clueless, incompetent leadership for another FOUR LOOOONG YEARS. As for the people of the North, the stakes are even higher, as the incompetence of the GEJ adm has been costing them so many lives, hence to them anybody, just anybody, would be worth trying, rather than choosing to remain under this adm they don't think would ever be able to protect them from the BH killers. |
Ngwakwe:You are not being honest or fair to Abagworo here; before he called you 'confused people' you had used much harsher words against him which, to an honest and unbiased observer, seemed much more of a case of taking 'these things personal thereby complicating your peace'. For instance, I cannot see your post below as exhibiting any better, more friendly, more enlightened and less personal tone than Abagworo's calling you 'confused' people: Ngwakwe: |
