N7bn Bribe To Christian Association Of Nigeria: DSS After My Life, Says Borno Pastor Who Exposed Oritsejafor The Borno State-based pastor, Kallamu Musa-Dikwa, who accused the Christian Association of Nigeria of collecting N7bn from President Goodluck Jonathan to campaign against the APC Presidential candidate, Maj-Gen. Muhammadu Buhari(retd.), has raised the alarm that operatives of the Directorate of State Service are after his life. While maintaining that the christian body collected the said amount, Dikwa said the DSS operatives had forced him to sign a document, which they plan to “show the entire world that President(Jonathan) did not bribe CAN to work against the Presidential candidate of the APC.” The cleric said the DSS planned to use the ‘document’, which he signed under duress in some national dailies, to portray him as telling lies against the body of Christ. “They forced me to sign and promised to link me up with the CAN President, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, for us to ‘settle’,” he said. He added that some Christian leaders, especially, the Abuja CAN Chairman, had pleaded with him to recant, by saying the Christian body never collected the said amount. The cleric in Kaduna on Thursday told a news conference that after the DSS had treated him like a “common criminal,” the operatives forced him to sign a document, to state that what he had said on the bribery saga was untrue. According to him, since he broke the news on how the Christian body collected N7bn from Jonathan to work against the APC presidential candidate, his life had been under threat. Dikwa explained that as soon as he finished addressing newsmen on the the alleged scam, the DSS invited him to their headquarters in Abuja and asked him to denounce that CAN did not collect a kobo from Jonathan. The cleric said, “The DSS invited me to their office in Abuja. They wanted to know who gave me the information that CAN collected N7bn from Jonathan and I told them. “They said all those I mentioned will be invited and told them to go ahead and invite them. I even told them how the money was disbursed. “They also said they wanted to know whether the opposition All Progressives Congress is the one sponsoring me to tarnish the image of the CAN and they mentioned Sam Nda Isaiah(Publisher of the Leadership newspapers) and I told them my relationship with him is not political because since 2006, I have been with him. I told them, he(Sam) does not know anything about my revelation on the said money. “They also asked what was my connection with the APC presidential candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Rotimi Amaechi and I told them there is nothing that connects us. I told them whatever I said was done for the love of my country. “After sometime, they went and drafted a letter, which says, ‘I Pastor Musa…’the information I gave that president gave CAN money was false and that I won’t do that again. “They said I should copy what they wrote in my own hand writting. I have to do it because I was alone with them and I feel they could harm me and frame me up. “They forced me to sign after writing what they drafted. I wanted to refuse but I fear for my life.” Source: http://saharareporters.com/2015/03/19/n7bn-bribe-christian-association-nigeria-dss-after-my-life-says-borno-pastor-who-exposed |
Another instance of massive, mind-boggling corruption, deceit and unfulfilled promises that characterize the GEJ govt. |
CNPP queries Finance Minister over $23bn Greenfield refineries contract on March 20, 2015 By Austin Ogwuda Enugu — CONFERENCE of Nigerian Political Parties , CNPP, has forwarded a letter to the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of Economy, Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, requesting for full disclosure of transactions concerning the contract for three Greenfield refineries and petrochemical plant awarded by President Goodluck Jonathan for $23 billion. Spokesman of the group, Mr. Osita Okechukwu, who disclosed this in Enugu yesterday, said the group derived its powers to demand for the explanation from the Freedom of Information, FoI, Act. The letter containing the request, dated March 9, 2015, and titled, ‘Request for Information on three Greenfield refineries’, read: “May I under the Freedom of Information Act 2011, request for the full disclosure of transactions concerning the three Greenfield refineries and petrochemical plant contract awarded on May 13, 2010, by President Goodluck Jonathan to Chinese State Construction and Engineering Corporation Limited, CSCEC,, at $23 billion meant to be located at Bayelsa, Kogi and Lagos states. “Secondly, why are they dead on arrival as six years down the line, neither the three Greenfield refineries nor petrochemical plant is under construction. “The three Greenfield refineries one understands, on completion were to add 750,000 barrels per day capacity to Nigeria’s refining infrastructure and create over a million jobs. “In addition, the petrochemical plant was to source natural gas from Nigeria’s gas master plan, produce polymers, solvents and fertilizer, thus boosting food production and textile industry. “Accordingly, the three refineries and the petrochemical plant could have stemmed the flood of imported refined products in the country, hence ploughing back the over $10 billion spent annually into our economy.” Okechukwu expressed regret that the abandonment of such critical refining infrastructure stimulated closure of factories, crash of the naira, gross unemployment, return of huge debt trap and fuel scarcity, to mention but a few. Please compare the Prof's endorsement of the people's general with the Gani Adams' endorsement of GEJ! And not just the endorsements, but also think deeply and patriotically about the stated arguments for the endorsement in each case, i.e. why the Prof is endorsing GMB and why Gani Adams is endorsing GEJ. If you are concerned about the progress and development of the nation as a whole and want a good future for the next generation, the choice would become very clear to you; GMB is surely the preferred candidate for all those who want to see an end to the rot in our system |
The lesson for the Bayelsans is that it is not in the interest of anybody to have an incompetent leader; even if here is your kinsman, the harsh realities of his incompetence would find a way of negatively affecting your life and that of your children. I am sure the ordinary Bayelsans, like the rest of Nigerians, would feel more positive impact of democracy under a GMB-led government that would have zero tolerance for corruption, as a result of which more resources would be available for the provision of social infrastructure that would directly benefit the ordinary people. |
Upon reading this, GEJ must start wondering why all the millions of dollars he has been showering on SW leaders of various groups would appear to be unraveling as the election draws nearer. The answer is, it is just not possible to buy everybody in a region like the SW, and even if you were to buy all the leaders of a region, that does not mean you would get automatic support from the ordinary people of the region. And now that many SW leaders like gen. Akinrinade are coming out to publicly denounce the endorsement of GEJ by some SW leaders, would GEJ return to the region once again and try to silence them with his 'dollar power', which he so much trusts to do the magic for him? |
A former Chief of Defence Staff, General Alani Akinrinade, says the endorsement of President Goodluck Jonathan by the Yoruba socio-political group, Afenifere, is wrong. He said while members of the organisation might have their political leanings, it was wrong for some Yoruba leaders to use the platform to canvass for votes for a particular candidate. Akinrinade, who was a Chief of Army Staff before becoming a CDS, told our correspondent in an interview on Tuesday that the meeting of the Yoruba Assembly, which holds in Ibadan on Thursday, would sensitise people of the South-West on what to do at the forthcoming elections. He said the Yoruba agenda brought before the National Conference failed. The general also faulted the pro-Jonathan Yoruba leaders who said that the implementation of the report would benefit the people. He noted that the recommendations of the confab were below Yoruba’s target and wondered why the leaders would base their endorsement on that. He said, “When the Yoruba sent their delegates, the cardinal points that can make a federation were practically not given to us. I can assure you, we missed all the targets. It will be preposterous of us now to expect that by the time that report is executed, we will end up with true federalism. “We want to set the record straight that there are major things that have to be done before we can have a true federalism. It cannot be done by one President alone. Unless you change the rule now, you will need all the national and state assemblies to agree with you.” He said Ondo State Governor, Olusegun Mimiko, who has been holding several post-confab conferences, was only pushing the agenda of the Peoples Democratic Party. He said, “By the look of things, it appears that they (Afenifere) were set up principally to canvass votes for Jonathan so that he might execute all the decisions reached at the last national confab. “The argument was that he (Jonathan) was the one who convened the confab and that is the reason why he should go back there and execute the report of the confab. “Obviously, it is being led by Governor Olusegun Mimiko and he is a PDP man. The kind of things that came out as the outcome (of their meetings) is an orchestration. You endorsed in a multi-party state and you’re expecting Yoruba to endorse one man in a party. That seems to be the purpose.” Akinrinade wondered why Jonathan had not implemented at least one of the recommendations of the confab over six months after the conference was held and yet the issue was being used to drum support for the President. We all know that. And that is why some of us just laugh when we read some PDP goons being so delusional as to think that because some obas and Afenifere leaders endorse GEJ, he is going to be saved from the electoral defeat that is waiting for him. Some obas and SW leaders might be richer as they line their pockets with the GEJ dollars, but that does not translate into actual support for GEJ among the ordinary SW people. The desperation of GEJ is now known to everybody, and when you have such a desperado with so much millions of dollars at his disposal, coupled with the fact that he is still the president of the country, it would be so easy for him to get religious and community leaders in any region to publicly endorse him. Did we not see 'Fulani leaders' endorsing him in the villa earlier this week? But would any rational person seriously believe that GEJ stands any reasonable chance of getting 5% of the northern Fulani votes in the coming election? |
This is so crystal clear for the rational mind to see, and that is why PDP and GEJ have been having sleepless nights, and are trying to avoid the election. It is so funny to see GEJ, whose party has been ruling the country for sixteen years, being so scared of election; he seems as reluctant and fearful to go the poll as a cow that is being physically tied and dragged to the slaughter-house. Only some uninformed online warriors of PDP would fail to understand how grim the situation is for GEJ and PDP; the online PDP simpletons do not understand how different 2011 is from 2015; how drastically the political dynamics have changed from 2011 in favour of Buhari, and how odds upon odds have been stacking against GEJ, mostly due to his own doing. |
It is great that at least Pastor Bakare trusts Buhari and believes in his integrity. Bakare's trust for GMB and his 'environment' would thus be: Trust for GMB = 90% Trust for his 'environment' = 0% Total score for Team Buhari on BCI (Bakare Credibility Index)= 90% But Bakare's trust for GEJ and his 'environment' would be like: Trust for GEJ = 0% Trust for his 'environment' = 0%. Total score for Team Janathan on BCI (Bakare Credibility Index)= 0% So even according to the Pastor Bakare's credibility assessment index, Nigeria and Nigerians would be in much MORE CREDIBLE hands if we vote for GMB. |
Freetech:Exactly. And if you add the posting of AIG Mba and other senior police and army officers of questionable character to the SW to help rig the election for him at all costs, to the deadly combination of dangerously desperate Obanikoro, Bode Goerge, Jimi Agbaje, Fayose, Omisore and now the newly financially-induced and well-armed and now FG-funded and supported OPC leadership with their armed thugs, then it would be clear to even a dumb mind that GEJ is only interested in getting the SW votes, NOT the peace, progress or well-being of the region. He has now shown clearly that he can go to any length to try to win the SW votes, even if it means plunging the whole region, and by extension the country, into turmoil. That is the mark of a self-centred 'leader'. |
WisdomFlakes:That is a real cause for concern. If you add the posting of AIG Mba and other senior police and army officers of questionable character to the SW to help rig the election for him at all costs, to the deadly combination of dangerously desperate Obanikoro, Bode Goerge, Jimi Agbaje, Fayose, Omisore and now the newly financially-induced and well-armed and now FG-funded and supported OPC leadership with their armed thugs, then it would be clear to even a dumb mind that GEJ is only interested in getting the SW votes, NOT the peace, progress or well-being of the region. WARRI—CHAIRMAN of Ogidigben Interface Committee on the Export Processing Zone, EPZ, Delta State, Mr Austin Oboroegbeyi and other Itsekiri leaders, have lampooned President Goodluck Jonathan for failing again to perform the groundbreaking of the EPZ project slated for yesterday. Oboroegbeyi said: “Mr President’s failure, again, to keep his promise to perform the groundbreaking of the Ogidigben EPZ project rescheduled for today (yesterday) is, to say the least, disappointing and embarrassing.” Secretary of Itsekiri Leaders of Thought, ILOT, Mr Edward Ekpoko, who reacted to same, said it was surprising that no official reason had been given for the failure of the groundbreaking to take place. But an Ijaw youth leader, Mr Paul Bebenimibo, said: “The March 16 date for the Gas City and the Deep Sea Port groundbreaking was tentative. “Therefore, the Itsekiri should not trouble themselves over the issue. Mr President is committed to the project and, of course, the groundbreaking. Some of us are tired of the Itsekiri’s frequent statements that they will not vote Mr President if the groundbreaking ceremony is not performed before the election. They should know that the issue is not just performing the groundbreaking, but having a peaceful atmosphere for the project to continue. “Mr President did not approve the March 16 date. It was a tentative date that did not work out. They should give him time to come up with a suitable date before the election.” Meanwhile, the Itsekiri nation has said that the attack on Ogidigben, host of the $16 billion Export Processing Zone, EPZ, by Ijaw youths, last weekend, was part of the larger agenda of the Ijaw ethnic group to annihilate the Itsekiri, which President Jonathan is allegedly pursuing. Odua People's Congress (OPC) leader, Gani Adams, today led a group he described as the "Coalition for Concerned Nigerians" to protest against Prof. Attahiru Jega, the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of Nigeria. The protest reportedly sponsored by President Goodluck Jonathan paralyzed parts of Lagos earlier in the day. During this interview with the press beside Teslim Balogun stadium in Lagos, Mr. Adams explained why he wanted Jega removed on March 24th 2015. He also disclosed that the OPC had been awarded a "Pipeline Protection" contract that would see him employ 15,000 Yoruba youths. dunkem21:The journalist might have got the figure wrong, but that does not necessarily invalidate other salient issues regarding the story: 1. There might be some REALLY HUGE amount of money collected by Muazu from various PDP governorship, senate and other aspirants. 2. Muazu's deputy, Sekondus, might be fully aware of such huge money allegedly collected by Muazu. 3. As is typical with sharing of bounties, there might be friction between the two PDP 4. Now that Muazu is clearly out of favour with GEJ, with E. Clark having come out so openly to accuse him of anti-GEJ activities, the grounds were prepared for all hitherto hidden crimes of Muazu to be brought to fore, as a way of forcing him to backtrack and fall back into line. 5. The whole thing re-inforces the perception among many Nigerians that although PDP has always been mainly about sharing 6. Since most members of the PDP at the grassroots are not completely oblivious of this scramble for personal shares at the top of their party, it is no surprise that even the ordinary supporters of PDP themselves always demand cash payments from their party officials. 7. But as GEJ would come to realize soon, you can buy endorsements from 'leaders' of various religious and regional groups but that does not automatically give you popular support among the ordinary members of those groups. |
Kingspin:You may believe Gani Adam's crap about the GEJ's 'implementation of the national conf.', but remember the SW people cannot be easily deceived by it. Those who want to proper answers to the kind of rubbish spewed by some compromised SW 'leaders' who claim to support GEJ because of this national conf gimmick, should simply watch Femi Falana's video on Youtube (link provided below) And does Gani think people have forgotten his comments during the national conf. that the whole Yoruba agenda was REJECTED at the conference, as a result of which it was a failure? And if Gani is ignorant, naive or dishonest enough to believe and trust GEJ to implement anything to the general interests of the SW people, does he think every other SW person is so gullible? Link to Falana's video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JZsfEBIeZB0 |
Boss13:You are absolutely right. This singular remark would go down in history as one of GEJ's worst official public remarks, because it manifests all that is wrong with him, i.e. his carelessness with facts (opening himself to being accused of lies, deceit) and cluelessness. Only in a country like Nigeria could a leader make this kind of CLEARLY DUMB, DECEITFUL and DISHONEST remark and still expects the people to believe it and give him credit for it. Suppose he did not want them to merge, how on earth could he have prevented the political parties from doing so, when the Nigeria's constitution and the electoral laws CLEARLY allow for such merger and make provisions for its modalities, guidelines, etc? It is as DUMB and DECEITFUL as saying that he 'deliberately allowed Buhari to campaign in all the states so as to advance democracy'. What is even more troubling about it is that the statement was read by Anyim, which shows how badly the quality of governance has degenerated under GEJ and how cluelessness has permeated all the high and low places of the administration. |
Dasini:That is one of his greatest miscalculations, ignoring the interests of the ordinary people for all those years, and thinking that by dishing out millions of govt dollars at his disposal to some traditional, religious and other community 'leaders' few weeks to the election, he could get such 'leaders' to make 'their people' vote for him. As you rightly stated, his electoral fate has already been sealed! No traditional rulers, pastors, et al can save him from the imminent defeat. |
Only God knows how much BILLIONS GEJ and his govt have distributed to various religious, traditional bodies and civil societies and individuals in his desperate and FUTILE attempt to avoid the imminent electoral defeat that stares them in the face. It is unbelievably ridiculous the way GEJ seems to think that by dishing out massive cash bribes to handful 'leaders' of each community, religion, age group and professional bodies, he would simply get the votes from members of such group, region or profession. I honestly pity GEJ atimes; a couple of months ago, while he entrusted his campaigns in the hands of his aids, they fed him with so many conflicting pieces of advice (by his own admission) that he got confused, and his campaign faltered. Now that he has decided to take charge of his campaign and do the show all by himself, he is also getting everything wrong again, as he erroneously thinks that money is all you need to win an election. Even if this was the case before, it is certainly NOT the case in this election; the vast majority of the ordinary Nigerians who are yearning for change across the regions are educated youths who voted for him in 2011, but who are so disappointed and disillusioned that they simply want to try someone else. You can bribe their obas, obis, emirs, pastors, imams all you want but the youths of today will surely not troop out en mass and vote for a candidate simply because their community or religious 'leaders' support that candidate! |
Hundreds of Arewa leaders who received Kano State Governor, Dr. Rabiu Kwankwaso, in Lagos on Sunday, said they rejected hundreds of thousands of dollars which was offered to them by President Goodluck Jonathan when the President visited the state two weeks ago. The leaders, who were drawn from the 20 Local Government Areas and 37 Local Council Development Areas of the state, distanced themselves from the endorsement given to Jonathan by a group. Speaking during a meeting at the Ikoyi home of a former Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Tinubu, the Chairman, Arewa Community in Lagos, Alhaji Sani Kabiru, said those that endorsed Jonathan were impostors. He said on the day of the endorsement, some people bought turbans at Agege and went to visit Jonathan at the State House, Marina, posing as emirs only to deceive the President. He said, “When President Jonathan came to Lagos with dollars, some of us here quickly went back and gathered ourselves and started calling our own not to go to visit Jonathan. I also commend some leaders here for leading an offensive and convinced people not to go there. “Most of the Arewa leaders and ‘serikis’ did not even go there to collect the dollars. At that event, card-carrying members of the Peoples Democratic Party bought turbans at the Central Market around Moshalashi Bus Stop, Agege. The person that sold the turbans told me that they dressed up as emirs and they were on their way to Jonathan’s place. “So, most of them were fake. They went to collect dollars but cannot tell anyone because they are in hiding. But we did not stop at that; those that we knew that went, we called them to order and asked them why they went but they said they only collected dollars but they would not vote Jonathan.” Kabiru said virtually all Arewa members had collected their Permanent Voter Cards. He promised to ensure one million votes for the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.); and the state’s governorship candidate, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode. LagosBoi2:We can appreciate the gallantry and sacrifice of our military guys and at the same time ask ourselves the pertinent question raised in one of the APC posters; is GEJ weak or wicked to have turned his back on the northern people and left them at the mercy of the godless and merciless BH loonies for MANY years, as a result of which tens of thousands of them lost their lives, only for him to spring into action against the insurgents when it is few weeks to the election? |
1. All this is a further proof that GEJ campaign is in serious disarray; the desperation shows that GEJ and Sambo are now reading the handwriting on the wall. 2. They must have fully come to terms with the fact that as far as the realities on the grounds are concerned, with Buhari being so comfortably set to do MUCH BETTER in ALL the regions than he did in 2011, and with GEJ being in such an awkward situation whereby he is definitely going to do much WORSE in ALL the regions than he did in 2011 (including the SS and SE), the game is OVER. 3. No wonder GEJ and Sambo have personally taken over the managing of their campaign by themselves (GEJ shuttles to the SW, while Sambo shuttles to Kano like never before) 4. Since most members of the GEJ's campaign team are experienced enough to SENSE FAILURE when they are in its vicinity, some of them must have been demoralized by now; others are confused, while many are scared and apprehrensive about their PERSONAL destiny, which is somewhat tied to that of the destiny of the president and Sambo. 5. But ironically, the more some of the morally bankrupt members of GEJ campaign team become convinced that it is GAME OVER for him, the more they would try to DECEIVE him and give him FALSE HOPE, as they try to claw and grab their last chunks from the plump campaign booties. 6. What adds to GEJ's woes is the fact that those who have become the FACE of his re-election campaign, the irresponsible and garrulous FFK, Fayose, Asaris and Clark (and even his dear 'mama peace') have ONLY succeeded in further alienating many decent, ordinary undecided voters who simply are not amused by the avalanche of unnecessary venomous personal attacks on GMB. 7. GEJ and Sambo should have realized by now that negative campaign and personal attacks on GMB are COUNTER-PRODUCTIVE; instead of fetching them more votes, the insults on the person of GMB by their aides actually backfire on them and cost them votes. 8. Thus, the likes of FFK, FAYOSE, Asari and Clark and all their negative campaigns have NOT in reality added any value to the GEJ campaign. On the contrary, they actually HARMED his re-election bid, as many decent Nigerians, including some supporters of PDP, simply DETEST insults, threats and other forms of irresponsible, child-like negative campaigns. |
pring:Excellent points! |
I think if you ask an average northerner this same rhetorical question in the advert, i.e. whether he/she thinks GEJ is weak or wicked for failing to contain the BH early enough to prevent them from wreaking so much havoc in the North, his/her answer is most likely going to be 'he is BOZE' (i.e. GEJ is BOTH weak and wicked) If you doubt me, whether you are pro-GEJ or pro-Buhari, just try posing the question to a northerner you know. |

abbakacici:Do you think the ignoramuses, the clannish goons and the evil-minded anti-Buhari propagandists would ever care to verify the claims that 80% of the employed people are 'Hausas'? Or do you think they would care about these facts you presented about the composition of PTI management team before making their absurd claims that the senior managers of PTI are 'Hausas' and 'all the senior managers of NNPC are Hausas? Change2015:The unfortunate truth is, even many of GEJ's advisers and presidency staff may not have much respect for him; but they would nonetheless continue to cluster around him because they know that even as clueless as he is, he is the president and can dish out material favours like no one else. And contrary to what Asari, Clark and other of his SS clannish goons falsely claim, the low regard Nigerians have for GEJ as a president has NOTHING whatsoever to do with his being from a minority ethnic group; it is simply because he is such a weak leader who does not seem to be in control of anything, or anybody, under his stewardship. For instance, under his watch, we witness unprecedented level of IMPUNITY in corruption, looting and stealing, mainly because his body language and public utterances continue to send wrong signals to the thieving elite that they would never go to jail, as long as he is the president. Under his watch, the BH insurgents also seem to believe, albeit wrongly, that they are stronger than the Nigerian military; hence they can seize control of towns and villages and kidnap hundreds of schoolgirls and continue to keep them unchallenged, as if there was no government at all. Even his party, the PDP, has been badly, and apparently irreparably, damaged by his clear lack of leadership; the hitherto formidable and indomitable PDP has now become a shadow of its former self; it is now like a giant rudderless ship that is destined to hit a huge rock and disintegrate, to our relief! |
More wahala for PDP, and another nail in the coffin for GEJ's re-election dream. |
