Education / Re: The Rise And Fall Of Foreign Second Degree by Londonboyrep(m): 1:34pm On Aug 26, 2019 |
And majority of people with foreign degrees are from average Nigerian homes? This article makes no sense whatsoever as even being able to afford education abroad already places you amongst the privileged people in the society. Foreign education doesn't come cheap at all and you could start a proper business with that money. For every year you study in the UK for example you’d be spending about £20,000 minimum. Do the maths, thats about 10million Naira. 30 Likes 3 Shares |
Crime / Re: “Invictus Obi Is A Snitch” - Nigerians React As FBI Names 80 Nigerians In Fraud by Londonboyrep(m): 1:15pm On Aug 23, 2019 |
I don't understand why people are castigating this fella. If you do the crime then be prepared to do the time. So you folks really think it's fair for one person to take on 80 people's punishment? Let me educate you - in persecuting crimes, the level of your punishment depends on the gravity of your crime and in fraud cases the more money you stole the longer your prison sentence. If you can prove that you did not steal the money alone then, of course, your prison term will reduce in accordance with how much you benefitted financially from the crime. Even without a deal, this was the logical thing for him to do. Even seasoned criminals like mafia bosses do this all the time when facing serious jail time. Nothing new here and the moral of the story is CRIME DOES NOT PAY. 15 Likes 3 Shares |

British Airways the most overpriced overrated Airline in the world. The food is terrible especially on the Lagos London route. Virgin is much much better with better food and in-flight wifi. I miss our indigenous airlines like Arik, Bellview, and Medview with correct Naija food and unlimited booze at cheap prices too. |
Romance / Re: Help My Girlfriend On Enjoy Sex When She Is On Her Period by Londonboyrep(m): 12:55pm On Aug 20, 2019 |
Most women are Hot on their period and chances are if you have been with a women long enough you'd have had sex with her mistakenly (hmmmm but that's what they claim) or even on purpose (babe just do it like that I'm just spotting). Anyway scientifically there is nothing wrong with it but personally, I find it highly disgusting. The real question in this scenario is why this your girl only wants it when she is on her period? I hope there are no spiritual underlying reasons for this for your sake. 2 Likes 1 Share |

God bless all parents. There's no right or wrong way to deal with children but there's one way that works more than others - Correct them with love, praise in public and scold in private and most importantly lead by example. Gone are the days when you expect children to follow your command without questioning it especially in the western world where one of the first words a kid learns is 'why'. To everything you say to them they expect a reason. I feel your pain and I currently also have a nearly 10year old daughter whose mum is not even African and that throws up the added challenge of preferences in how we bring her up. Lets continue to pray for them and set good example. All the best. 12 Likes 2 Shares |

I see you are one of the ones fooled by the Fat guy from North Korea's big mouth. Most if not all western countries will wash NK with their obsolete weapons and they dare not try to introduce their very unreliable nuclear weapons or that will be the end of North Korea’s existence. |

lyndaway:Already said there is the exception. And I am specifically talking about relationships here. People from broken homes statistically do not work hard in their own relationships. And I already said there is the odd exception plus gave an example of my daughter - do you think I pray for her to have a broken home? Of course not. I have every sympathy for people from broken homes given its not any fault of theirs that their parents chose to go their separate ways. However, statistics and facts don't lie. 1 Like |

Katier00:Please don't call me a liar as I am only stating the readily available statistics which is that children are influenced by their parents. If this were not true why do we Africans say we are investigating a family before agreeing to marriage? Why not just go with the flow? I already stated that there is the odd exception and I am not doubting your story for once but the truth is that children tend to follow in the footsteps of their parents. And even your example here tells me despite all the troubles in their marriage(quoting you), your grandparents still stayed married. If they had not stayed married your dad might not have seen the light and need to work on his marriage which in this day and age cannot happen if you constantly batter your wife. It's simply changing with the times. There was no need to call me a liar just express your opinion as I have and leave as it. You are just lucky and I maintain statistics still supports my view. You say children of the poor strive to break the chain of poverty - agree but let me tell you silverspoon kids too strive never to become poor because this is scary for them. Whilst someone who has never been rich will easily adapt to poverty it's not so for a child who has never suffered. Of the wealthiest people in Nigeria today and I mean real wealthy people please list the ones from poor homes amongst them. 2 Likes 1 Share |
Romance / Re: Why do I keep getting rejected by girls? by Londonboyrep(m): 12:06pm On Aug 06, 2019 |
You are not getting girls because you come across as desperate. You see women say they want attention and all that but in reality, they want the exact opposite. They want a guy who won't be on their case 24/7. They want a guy that can attract other ladies. Women are competitive by nature i.e whilst guys mostly will leave a girl with a serious boyfriend or husband alone I find that women are mostly attracted to guys that are not single. Make lots of females friends but stop asking them out. Build up this bad boy good guy image and for God sakes stop telling them you are a virgin - no woman wants the messy business of teaching a grown man how to fork. I normally would not advise this but in your case, I will...maybe consider paying for sex once just to get the experience needed? A bit too old to learn now I think. And no insults, please. 17 Likes 1 Share |

PropaMan:Agree and this is standard practice in developed countries too. If you cant take care of your kids social services take them away and either give them to parents who can but have no children or put them in a hostel. I'm impressed by the level of intellect on here and I have great faith Nigeria will be great soon but we need to stop practicing money politics where the fattest pockets and not the best brains win. 1 Like |

PropaMan:Excellent comment - Only thing I don't agree with is taking children away from people who give birth unnecessarily. Even western countries don't do that and trust me there are still some irresponsible people doing it. Just this week I read about a family of over 20 children in the UK and yes it's few and far between but it happens. I think incorporating most people who already work in the transport sector and pay them salaries will work otherwise what do you expect those people to do? Most have no other skill and we cannot abandon such a large group to their fate otherwise we are inviting trouble. 1 Like |

Ijawwomaninoyo: Some people just display their stupidity publicly it's shocking. No, A house is not a car or a living thing and can stay the same or even look better in the future if maintained properly. Actually this, in saner climates, should look better in 10years if taken care of and updated. Stop talking like a slowpoke. Because I don't understand what you are insulting me for. I never said this is bad all I said is can we maintain it. Saying do I expect a building to remain the same after 10years is a very stupid comment. The Airport MMA was fashioned after looks better than it did originally and its twice as old as our airport. Village idiot. |

muykem: 15 Years is too young and immature to go to University - the statistics don't look good. I was a child prodigy myself and went to Uni at 15 and guess what? Messed up big time ending up spending 10years and graduated from my third University losing all my earlier advantage and at great cost to my long-suffering parents. Not saying some don't make a success of it but the majority don't and often get influenced negatively by their older more experienced school mates. As people have suggested on here let your child spend the time productively acquiring a life skill or even a trial period away from home with a relative you can trust. Trust me on this Nigerian universities are a den of wolves - no disrespect to anyone. Even at 16, the child needs to be monitored very very closely. my two cents from someone with first-hand experience of this scenario. 1 Like |

deltateam: Rubbish.... The word arrest being used here infers punishment. So the family is in detention voluntarily then? And what was this story about all the while? Why would the family need to lament if it's not a punishment? This will never happen in an advanced country. If the police want to speak to you about a friend or relative they will not arrest you but solicit your help VOLUNTARILY. If you refuse and they think you are involved they will go to a judge who will look at the evidence and only if the judge agrees will an arrest warrant be issued. Never said the family will or will not later be released, that's not the bone of contention - they should never have been arrested in the first place! Even the actual suspect cannot be held beyond a period of 24hours without going to court. Use your own judgment to determine what an advanced country is and then give your example. Haha you are in law enforcement - I rest my case. 6 Likes |
Romance / Re: How Can I Handle A Lady Thats More Wealthy Than I Am by Londonboyrep(m): 3:17pm On Aug 01, 2019 |
It depends on what you mean by wealthier and how wide the Gap is. Personally, I would never advise a man to go into a relationship with a woman where there's no hope ever that the Gap can be closed e.g what would a male driver with just school cert be doing with an educated high flying young female executive? It just will not work and women are not wired that way. Women have the need to look up to their man and this does not necessarily mean wealthier. But how would the woman in the scenario I described above be able to look up to that man for anything? And why do you feel the need to control a woman anyway? You will find commanding respect is always better. A woman that is doing well for herself now will have absolutely no issues with a man with real prospects. I'm a father of 2 girls and of course, I would not want my kids to bring home a man that has no chance in the world of doing better than them. The keywords here being 'chance' 'prospects.... |

deltateam: Did you see abroad in my statement?? Abroad means any foreign country okay? I clearly said advanced countries and I stand by what I said. Every advanced country protects the rights of individuals okay? And this is against human rights i.e punishing one person for another person's crime just because they are related. Even the Nigerian constitution does not support punishing one person for another's crime but clearly, we have no respect for the rule of law and that, my friend, is the difference between an advanced country and a third world country. Yes I know you are in Guinea and think you are abroad, you are right but I said advanced countries not abroad 3 Likes |

Nice but will it still look like this in 10 years' time or will our usual non-maintenance culture come into play? Time will tell but I will not hold my breath. Every time I pass through MMA I nearly always weep. This used to be one of the most beautiful airports in the world modelled after Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam but look at it now? deltateam:Whats a lie? That only the accused will ever be arrested or persecuted in any way? Please if you don't know something don't comment on it. I stand by it - it can never happen in an advanced country unless there is irrefutable evidence that the family or friend is involved. The only exception to this is if the crime has caused such a public outcry(e.g terrorism) that the police believe the public might harm the culprit's family then they can offer the family protective custody and this again is optional. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

No country can eliminate forgery. And let me tell you this driver's license this person is advertising will never fool law enforcement, it's for getting into age-restricted environments(such as clubs) as proof of age or something along that line. You can never use it to drive because they do not rely on that physical card but everything is on the database. Now on the contrary in Nigeria, you can get an original driver's license that will fool ANYONE from official quarters whether you can drive or not as long as you can pay the price!! So please stop comparing. We have a long way to go but we will surely get there. Corruption is the bane of Nigeria and Africa at large. 2 Likes |

What a backward country arresting friends and family of a suspect. In advanced countries, the police will not even discuss the case except with the accused or legal representative. Everyone, not their family not their friends, is responsible for their own actions. 168 Likes 8 Shares |

GrabHisBalls: Sorry but that's the way of the world i.e people suffer for things that they had no choice in. Its there and readily available statistics people who come from broken homes go on to have broken homes of theirs as well. I didn't make up these statistics it's there, google it yourself. And in my experience this is so true - if their parents didn't value their marriage and gave up without fighting then chances are the children of that marriage will do the same. There is, of course, the odd exception as with everything in this world. I have a child with someone from a broken home and yes, you guessed right, we are not together because she ended up a pathetic cheat just like her mum. By Broken home I mean single parent home i.e if even if you live with a natural parent and step-parent then in my view that is not a broken home. I have a child in a broken home and by God this bothers me a lot. This is my view and no need for insults. 1 Like |

My guy chop the kitty before she go anywhere or you will regret it (that’s if you still want her though). True story - many many years ago I was in this exact position. My virgin GF was going to the UK promised me heaven and earth but once she got there after a while she stopped communication-no break up no fight just nothing next 4 years she came back home to get married. Now I'm in the same country and I no longer blame her because its just really hard to stay faithful with all these frosh boys around na one, excuse my language, village boy for naija you go dey wait for? Most girls that come back home to pick husbands do so because they have been rejected i.e. severely used and dumped here and time is running out for them or the guy in naija is extremely well-off i.e he too comes here from time to time. The fact the girl is a virgin makes it 10 times easier for the girl to move on without looking back. Back to my own experience I'm happy I'm doing way better than this gf that left me and her 'London’ husband now. Talk about having the last laugh. |
