That is Bob Marley's club! The Wailing Wailers!
He was known globally for speaking truth to power.
He was the one that sang ''Redemption Song''....

''Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery
None but ourselves can free our minds
Have no fear for atomic energy
'Cause none of them can stop the time
How long shall they kill our prophets
While we stand aside and look?
Some say it's just a part to fit
We've got to fulfill the book''.

I blame the parents who allowed their kid to remain in active ..war zone. Rest in Peace girl.

But you see those her parents must be charged with wilful murder in this case.... Nigeria should not allow this matter to die like that.... The parents must be set as examples for wickedly pushing her into harm's way....

Ukraine is just milking the incident...as a free PR.

BREAKING NEWS

Governor Adeleke has started Paying 20,000 naira to Osun Civil Servants after meeting them to vote for Him 🤣🤣

A government who has done wonderfully well according to social media speculations will be buying voteshuh?

Another strategy to buy votes from Osun State civil servants. It will never work here. Our votes must counts. Osun State civil servants will mobilize and cast their votes for incoming Governor Bola Oyebamiji on August 15th Governorship election. Adeleke is anti civil service. This same Governor sacked over 1000 workers in the State civil service in the first year in office. Adeleke is heartless and wicked in his doings. Adeleke's defeat is imminent.

Why should Seun write "Christianity Etc," in the topic categories. why didn't he write "Islam Etc". The only other place he uses "Etc" is "Jokes Etc".

He should remove the "Etc" he added to Christianity or add the "Etc" also to Islam. No form of bigotry should be allowed on Nairaland especially from the owner.

Every true Christian here should stand against such
He is a pagan, self proclaimed atheist who takes the meekness of Christians for granted but scared sh1tless of the islamic band

Aradel average realised oil price: $90

That $10 difference is over $100 million that didn’t come in to Oando. Someone needs to audit the business to understand what is happening. There may be a case of profit shifting.

Politics is a game of interest and numbers. The first completely eliminates objectivity even in you. The numbers factor also reinforces the interests.... Meanwhile until I see any candidate better than Asiwaju...on his mandate we stand. The SW is on lockdown, SE in rebellion against Obi also on lockdown, SS lockdown, Dickson doing the leader's work in NDC.... grin... LASACO Poised as Nigerian Insurance Sector Rebounds

Lasaco Assurance Plc remains one of the more actively traded mid-tier insurers on the Nigerian Exchange, benefiting from a broader structural shift in Nigeria's insurance penetration narrative as regulators and macroeconomic conditions push more individuals and corporates toward formal coverage.

Femi Otedola has signalled that he intends to take majority control of First HoldCo, telling Nairametrics that his investment threshold is always above 51% and that he is following the same path at Nigeria's most valuable bank, saying he was sure his antecedents show his investment threshold is always over and above 51 percent, that firm shareholder control with due regard for minority interest is a key ingredient to executing reforms, and that he is on the same trajectory with First HoldCo.

Otedola holds 11,956,589,264 shares, or 25.87% of the company, and reaching 51% would require roughly 11.6 billion additional shares costing about ₦1.59 trillion, or $1.15 billion, at Monday's record intraday price of ₦137.20, though he would trigger a legal obligation well before that, with Nigerian takeover rules under the Investments and Securities Act 2025 requiring an investor crossing 30% to make a mandatory offer for the remainder unless the commission grants an exemption, and that threshold sits near 13.87 billion shares, about 1.91 billion above his current position. Otedola disclosed a figure he had not previously made public, saying he has invested over ₦600 billion of his personal wealth in First HoldCo, roughly $432 million, and pointed to two precedents, having taken African Petroleum, later Forte Oil, from 28% to 75% before selling in 2019, and Geregu Power from 51% to 95% and then to 77% after the 2022 listing, though he described First HoldCo as a long-term generational commitment unlike either.

Otedola gave his fullest account yet of what he bought into, describing an institution on the brink with more than ₦2 trillion in bad loans and a culture of what he called recalcitrant and delinquent debtors treating the bank as an outlet to exploit, with the Central Bank of Nigeria having dissolved the entire board in 2021, and the group having impaired more than ₦3 trillion over the past decade including a single ₦1.70 trillion charge to clear legacy exposures. The recovery has been sharp, with First HoldCo reporting first-half pre-tax profit of ₦653.54 billion, up 83.5%, on a return on average equity of 30.4%, which Otedola said is the highest among Nigeria's leading banking groups, and he put the full-year forecast at around ₦1.2 trillion, with the company having met the central bank's ₦500 billion capital requirement ahead of the March deadline and secured shareholder approval in May for a further ₦253 billion raise targeting ₦1 trillion in paid-up capital, alongside a payout policy of about 60% of profit after tax.

Any where Ote$ is going oya...those my remaining 35% who knows... I am not even selling again let us see where e dey go....

But note that investing in FBN Holdings for immediate 2026 dividends carries high regulatory risk.

Although management announced a future 60% profit-payout policy, cash distributions remain legally frozen under a strict Central Bank of Nigeria forbearance clampdown.

The apex bank has explicitly barred FBNH from distributing cash until legacy single-obligor debt breaches are resolved. Despite surging profits, your capital will sit yield-starved until the CBN formally lifts this restriction.
