Jingo-OAU: Some peeps on Nairaland can be so naïve. Nigerian Airspace is one of the most useless airspace in Africa, nay, the world. Up till date, so many aeroplanes still passed tru our airspace without the prior knowledge NAMA.
Nigeria is located in the heart of Africa, therefore, most airlines coming from other continents always prefer to pass tru our airspace as our route connects all other countries. Even with that, our Airspace still suffers from airline pirates reason being that for any aeroplane to pass tru Nigeria, they must pay a certain amount to NAMA, which as am speaking its not being done cos NAMA couldn't capture all the aeroplanes plying our airspace.
Total Radar Coverage Of Nigeria(TRACON) was deployed to do this job effectively, yet our airspace is still susceptible to illegal air pirates. Infact, as am typing this, Ghana still collects money on our behalf for every aeroplane dat flies across Nigeria's territorial seas in the atlantic ocean. How could Ghana be collecting the money on our airspace route which covers some nautical miles in the atlantic ocean?
Up till now, whenever an aircraft crashes, its always a problem to locate where the crash site is. And am very sure some of us would be supporting the Minister of Aviation because we are just novice when it comes to aviation. Our airspace is still porous as before. In as much as I wouldn't dispute the fact of TYLER, it is also a stated fact all those things I stated above BAD BELLE. |

Commercial buses were banned by the government in the city and you expect civil servants to trek to work? C'mon! I don't see anything laudable about this. Next story please!! simpleseyi: The Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria does not have any relationship with the Bible, Amaechi swore to uphold the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and not the Bible The Constitution does not tell the governor to lick the president's a-ss neither did the Bible say so. Mind you, he was sworn in while holding the bible, that aside, the quoted potion of the bible is a reminder to him that HE SHOULD DO TO OTHERS THE WAY HE EXPECTS OTHERS TO DO TO HIM. |

In 1999, Obasanjo had one term agreement with the north, not only he contested 2003 election and won, he asked for unconstitutional 3rd term. Now his former political apprentice, now master, is practising what he learned from him, he seemed shocked.
Sir, extinguish the fire, you ignited it. |
