HAVE BEEN WONDERING WITH THE ANTI CORRUPTION CAMPAIGN that has taken the largest black african nation by storm, it beats my imagination how a party spokes man like Olisah Metuh can be charged for corruption whilst the chairman of the party is (as he then was) is yet to answer any question, yet chairman before him have been roped in the scandal already huh

COULD it be speculators, political analyst,observers etc were right when they fingered the then PDP Chairman and former governor of Bauchi State ADAMU MUAZU in a plot to sell out GEJ and the PDP? Could this be a plot to sellout one's own party for personal or ethnic favors?

Too many questions with little or no answers but I still wish to know WHERE IS ADAMU MUAZU? How saintly is he??

N/b there is no intention of roping of tarnishing anybodies image as these are mere thoughts spoken aloud!!

Anybody bothered 2 ask where is Adam muazu in all these? Despite being a pdp Leader, hie is not charged of any crime; could it be he has been blameless all along or because he was a pdp rat to apc, abi na northern immunity dey save am; Time shall tell.

Charge this man for God sake if there is evidence of statutory violation or free him with apologies and necessary compensation where necessary; the pursuit of justice no matter how good your intentions are, is still not sufficient enough to violate the laws of the land#say no to militocracy#

Has Audu been validly elected before his demise? If no then this section is not likely to be applicable in this instance.

See s.181 of the constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria 1999, the Deputy governor of the party that won shall be sworn in.

S.181 of the 1999 constitution stipulates that the Deputy governor shall be sworn in where the elected governor dies before taking oath of office, I hope it helped.

Senate queries approval of N63.5bn for Abuja Airport’s 2nd runway contract

According to the Vanguard Newspaper the Senate has queried the N63.5 billion approved for the construction of the second Runway for the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, by the Buhari APC led Federal Government saying it was an attempt to ‘steal and rape’ Nigerians of the country’s common patrimony.

The Senators in a motion, presented by Dino Melaye called on the federal government to drastically reduce what it termed the unrealistic cost,
Senator Melaye noted that the contract for the construction of the runway was cancelled by the Goodluck Jonathan administration after it discovered over inflation of contract!!

Melaye, who noted that the contract was awarded by the Federal Executive Council, FEC, at N64 billion after ratification by the Bureau for Public Procurement, BPP, contended that there was also the need for the construction of a second runway since, according to him, “the existing one is not only bad but inadequate.”

According to him, the entire Gombe Airport, with 3.6km runaway cost N8.2 billion; Jigawa Airport cost a total of N11 billion, Bauchi, N12 billion; Enugu Airport, reconstructed and expanded at N13 billion and Akwa Ibom Airport was constructed at N18.05 billion.

Melaye argued that the new Terminal 5 at Heathrow Airport, with four lanes of 4km runway cost less than N22 billion, saying constructing a 3. 8km one-line runway for N63.5 billion would be a waste of fund considering Nigeria’s present economic situation.

He said: “The publication that the contract is already undergoing review and to be awarded at N63.5 billion as published by newspapers is another attempt to steal and rape Nigerians of our common patrimony. Further convinced by the fact that the entire Gombe Airport with 36km runway cost of N8.2 billion; Jigawa Airport cost N12 billion, Enugu Airport was constructed and expanded at 13 billion naira and Akwa Ibom Airport at N18.05 billion .

“This astronomical amount is about four times the cost of constructing a brand new airport in Nigeria. As a representative of the people, we must advise that due process and strict adherence to Public Procurement Act be observed in the said contract of the Second Abuja Airport Runaway. Nice work but in truth the eastern ijaw languages comprising of okrika,kalabari etc are similar and can hear each other a great deal, even the Nembe language in Bayelsa and others. On a general scale our languages are similar and radically different at d same time but one thing is sure, our culture,nature and hospitality is the same. Yes we are the 4th largest ethnic group in nigeria.it's unfortunate that marginalisation may try to alter the records but in truth we are who we are. #full ijawblood,body and soul.#

Another false front to remove southerners from perceived POSITIONS of authorities or privileged positions in favour of the northerners, this is because the last person in authority I think was the president from the south and I believe those promoted may be perceived to be his kinsmen hence the ploy by the north to perpetually reduce the southerners from positions of authority to forestall another southerner emerging into a power broker in the customs for reasons best known to them;
Civil we are, obedience to constituted authority remains our oath but injustice never lasts forever the U.S.S.R and Sudan is a perfect example.

I learnt the govt at the centre made clearing at lagos ports far cheaper than that of portharcourt ports that's why the Lagos port is a preferred point. I see a further colonisation of the south by the north with the help of our south western neighbors. Injustice littered everywhere you go.
