"NO GREE FOR Anybody"abeg Who Dey Give Nigeria Yearly National Motto?Last year was "DEY PLAY" this year is "NO GREE FOR ANYBODY". Abeg who dey orchestrate all this recent yearly national motto. But this street prophecy dey work ‘No gree for anybody’ slogan can plunge Nigeria into crisis, police warn
The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) have warned that the ‘no gree for anybody’ slogan being used by youths can lead to crises in the country.
The ‘no gree for anybody’ catchphrase has attained virality status in the Nigerian social media space and on the streets.
It has also been jocularly adopted by the zeitgeist as the nationwide motto for 2024.
The catchphrase loosely means ‘do not tolerate any form of nonsense from anybody’ or ‘do not allow yourself to be bullied by anyone’.
During a press briefing on Tuesday in Abuja, Muyiwa Adejobi, force spokesperson, said intelligence reports show that the catchphrase is capable of plunging Nigeria into a crisis of monumental proportions.
Adejobi said although the catchphrase is being seen as “normal talk”, those in the security community view it as a “dangerous” slogan.
“The new slogan for 2024 for young people is ‘no dey gree for anybody’,” Adejobi said.
“We have been informed from our intelligence that this is coming from the retributionary sector that might likely cause problems across the country.
“No dey gree for anybody is being seen as just normal talk. In the security community, we have seen it as a very dangerous slogan that can trigger crises.” https://www.thecable.ng/extra-no-gree-for-anybody-slogan-can-plunge-nigeria-into-crisis-police-warn/amp

Politics › Ooni Of Ife Visits Ex-CBN Governor Emefiele In Kuje Prison, Seeks His Release by LordFaraday(op): 12:46pm On Dec 06, 2023 |
The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II, on Tuesday visited the embattled former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) in Kuje Prison, Abuja.
The monarch joined the list of influential Nigerians seeking the release of the former apex bank chief, who is behind bars for his inability to meet his N300 million bail condition.
The Ooni was at the prison twice to visit Emefiele, Politics Nigeria gathered. The first time was in the early afternoon. He left after and returned four hours later to continue with his discussions with him. The monarch had very lengthy meetings with Emefiele.
Emefiele was last month arraigned on a six-count charge bordering on procurement fraud by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). He was accused of using his position to confer a corrupt advantage on Sa’adatu Yaro, a staff of CBN, by awarding a contract for the procurement of 43 vehicles worth N1.2 billion between 2018 and 2020.
Prior to his arrest and arraignment by the EFCC, Emefiele had been in the custody of the Department of State Security (DSS) for over four months. However, when the DSS released him, he got rearrested by the EFCC.
Emefiele had pleaded not guilty to the amended charges and was later granted bail in the sum of N300 million as well as two sureties in like sum, both of which must have certificates of occupancy and titles of properties within the Maitama district in Abuja.
He was also mandated to deposit all his travel documents with the Registrar of the Court with a warning to remain within the Abuja Municipal Council.
The former CBN governor was unable to meet the bail conditions and is remanded in Kuje Correctional Facility until 2024. https://politicsnigeria.com/ooni-of-ife-visits-ex-cbn-governor-emefiele-in-kuje-prison-seeks-his-release/?utm_source=operamini&utm_medium=feednews&utm_campaign=operamini_feednews

The soldier misbehaved and they treated his Bleep up, that doesn't give the military guys the yardstick in retaliating. Nigerian soldiers are known in flexing unecessary muscles on civilians. When last have you heard them going on retaliation on bookharam/Iswap or going on an offensive against them, all we hear about them is defensive against the ragtag boko. Shame on the Nigerian army Dagger111: All of una dey mad. Why was the part that the civilians pounded of the soldiers was omitted? In a saner clime, no citizens dare touch their soldiers but Nigerians did and they have paid for it. This story is this to suite the ears, no truth was told here. |

olisaEze: In most developed countries school age entry is five, while the age of entry into the university is usually from 18. But this is Nigeria, we’re all in a rush hence the crisis with ur daughter. You have prepared ur baby for exams but now you’re wondering if you’ve prepared her enough for adult living which incidentally is more important. Once she leaves for the university she has left home and will only be a visitor from then on. Putting age restrictions on the phone of an undergrad who is about to be hit with the real deal seems like a beggar’s wishes! Just talk with her on ur experiences in school, those promising kids that lost their way back then, the hows, the whys.... and pray the home training she has received so far will carry her through. If not, that phone password thingy means nothing to these Gen Z kids who are adept at bypassing almost any block online nowadays! Thks for the advice |
Politics › Re: Why the Nigerian Govt Should Make The Age Of Consent 16 by LordFaraday(op): 8:01am On Nov 07, 2022 |
obaaderemi: Capital No. Because your daughter is going to University at age 16 doesn't mean she has reached that age where you can allow her into the world without the parental monitoring you've been giving her. There's still a kind of disconnection between that big body and the brain of a juvenile. I was a teacher in the past and I know these young girls don't know much and are just beginning to grow into those big bodies.
In Brazil which you cited as an example, you see 12 year olds getting STDs. Even in America. But laxity of parenting and poverty are bringing the same problems here. Now, imagine if everyone is told that it's okay to have sex with a 16 year old. Seriously I do see that at the bolded in my daughter Atimes. I believe have gained some insight from your statement. Thanks |
