harmony5: Hey mr Akpabio ass licker, I want to suggest u go get a life, this place was beautified during the administration of gov. Attah. I guess there are no more tangible project again(mostly roads) for the akpabio lapdogs to showcase even with a budget of over N500b, No why they are now resorting to showing past administration's achievement as his, just to cover for his incompetence and fraud and also a desperade bid to keep him relevance in the media.. I say S H A M E! on Y'all.Your situation is quite unfortunate, how you easily get hyper about everything Akpabio is beyond me. Every sane people who reads my post will see that my message centres on how much beautiful the place is now compared to what you have here. Didn't you read where I gave credits to Attah for the ones posted above? ![]() |
@op your current pictures of ibom connection are still like 4years old, the place is even more beautiful than this now thanks to Akpabio, what u have dere is how Obong Attah left it, which is still beautiful |

Sgtkoselupa: This is another waste of our hard earned money. Govt should just provide enabling environment like airports and regulatory authorities. Investing even 1% into the new airline is lack of focus. Or is it another elephant project to fund PDP campaign for 2015? omonnakoda: Nigeria that borrowed $2billion this week will buy 50 aircraft next year thoth: Please who are this private investor partners and what is their share in the whole deal? what is the FG investing and what are the Private Investors Investing ? we need numbers and information.Nairalanders with jumping to comment even before reading the article. Didn't you people see the part that says the FG is not putting in a dime into this project? It's very glaring that you guys are only after abusing this administration and talking down every step it makes. SmhMekky2010: National Carrier to Begin Operations with 50 Aircraft |

sureteeboy: I wonder what kind of church that Anglican is. Is the guy trying to bribe God so that he can win the election? That #5 million should have been distributed to the poor. Not to a church that's rich already. The money needed in the church is mainly for evangelism, but, I don't know what the church had becomeI wish to God you know what it really cost to organize an effective evangelism anywhere in the world. I doubt you have the slightest idea because you would have known that 5m naira is barely enough to foot for just the lighting bills in a big crusade. |

how about they let him be for the period of his tenure to complete these laudable projects and after then he could be arrested, tried, and prosecuted if found guilty...no doubts, this man is an achiever |
yh, it's nice for the governor of a rich state like Akwa Ibom to be benevolent, but i still feel that the governor often goes above board on some of this spendings...quite alot of it are usually unnecessary! |

The Federal Government on Monday restated its offer to dialogue with members of the fundamentalist group, Boko Haram on the condition that the group renounces violence. The Federal Government on Monday restated its offer to dialogue with members of the fundamentalist group, Boko Haram on the condition that the group renounces violence. The National Coordinator of Counter Terrorism and Counter Insurgency in the office of the National Security Adviser, Major General Sarki Bello (rtd) made the offer at the National Defence College in Abuja. The event was a visit by the capstone course of the National Defence University in the United States. The Coordinator of the national counter terrorism and counter insurgency office told the visitors that Nigeria is making significant progress in the fight against terrorism and is doing more to ensure that insurgency is effectively curbed. Major general Bello said a national counter terrorism policy has been put in place with a plan to set up a national counter terrorism centre to curb terrorist activities in the country. He also announced the establishment of multinational strategies with Niger, Chad and Cameroun following intelligence reports that Boko Haram camps are in these countries bordering Nigeria. General Bello expressed optimism that the ceasefire recently declared by the Islamic sect may be effective. He however said members of the sect must renounce violence before any dialogue with the militants. Speaking on Nigeria’s operation in Mali, the Deputy Commandant of the national defence college said beyond restoring the territorial integrity of Mali, key to Nigeria’s participation in Mali is to contain the in-flock of extremists back in to Nigeria. While the Nigerian government appreciates that more need to be done in the fight against terrorism, it believes that everything is on course to win the war against terror and extremism. source: http://www.africaeagle.com/2013/02/nigeria-federal-government-agrees-to.html

So sad that this is my first comment on Nairaland and it had to be dis I mean how can I load my own phone with my own money and then cannot connect a single line successfully for more than a week now arghh!! To hell with their bonanzas, MTN network has been more than terrible here in Uyo since last week. If they would rather focus all these resources towards upgrading their systems, I think that will be better appreciated
