He is wrong in his assumptions regarding the supposed foundation of a so-called Christian nation. Nothing of the Nicene Creed on which the Christian religion is essentially founded suggests such definitions or the possibility of a "Christian Nation".

No nation or peoples on this planet can boast of never, at one point or another, engaging either in the trading or having of slaves. Slaves were literally the first product ever sold by men; it was literally the norm for thousands of years, until the British thought to abolish it. As regard wars, literally no nation, peoples, civiliation can boast of never having mobilized a militia for defensive purposes or to attack foreign enemies/engage in war on any scale. Not even San marino can boast of such a feat.

So, his idea of a Christian nation is literally impossible when you consider War and slavery have been a part and parcel of history of all nations and peoples.

That said, Christianity is not a political system that one would imagine a nation could be built upon its doctrines alone. Christianity is wholly a religion. It does not come with a built-in political system on which a nation can be founded. Christianity, like many other religions out there, essentially offers a moral foundation/framework upon which a nation can then be built such as we have in parts of the West.

The displacement of 20 million native Americans was not defense or an attack on a foreign nation. It was theft by genocide, plain and simple.

I'm a student in a Nigerian university. I've been dating my girlfriend for a little over a year. We attend the same school but we're in different departments.

The problem started this semester because most of my group assignments and presentations involve female coursemates. We have a WhatsApp group, and sometimes we stay after lectures to work on assignments together.

Recently, my girlfriend said she doesn't like how close I seem to them. She asked me to stop chatting with any female classmate unless it's "absolutely necessary." She even suggested I should only work with male students whenever possible.

I explained that university doesn't work that way. Sometimes you're randomly assigned to groups, and refusing to work with people because they're women would make me look immature and could even affect my grades.

She insists that if I truly love her, I should create boundaries. I agree that boundaries are important, but I also feel she's asking for something unrealistic.

We've argued about it several times now, and it's beginning to affect our relationship.

Nairalanders, am I being insensitive, or is my girlfriend being insecure? How would you handle this situation if you were in my shoes?

Unless she has reason to suspect you are cheating she's being unreasonable. Hope you are not using school work to perform under g moves o!

I have worked in private sector and now govt but I am taking this decision to fully concentrate in my dream and to fully harness my plans for the future.

Nothing like ur own,where u dictate what happens and not the other way round.

This is the time to complete what I started and to give it the touches it needs.

To think that,I was supposed to write my promotion exam and move to 13 in few months time is like a dream to many people but I have to ditch it for my future dreams. Meaning I am resigning as a level 12 officer.

Thank God for life to see this day come to reality.
