RealityKings1: the idea of slavery existed before Christianity and even Judaism. whats your point?
That is exactly my point. Christianity at its root does not condemn slavery, that's why it took 1700 years for Christians to be willing to end it and it was still Christians who opposed the ending of slavery.
RealityKings1: at the bolded, it means everything. either the values are dynamic or not the substance upon which it was established remains
It took 1700 years for Christians to outrightly condemn slavery and even then it took a war against Christians to end it definitely. Whatever values you think Christianity has is inspite of its roots not because of it.
uwuana: My wife has been away for a period of 8 months, all in the name of she wants to stay in her hometown and be doing business which I don't even buy the idea in the first place, but despite all my efforts to stop her everything proves abortive.
She came back two weeks ago, and since then I haven't developed any feelings for her, we're just living like roommates, she has done everything to turn me on yet still my body no gree move, I tried to have sex this morning with her and the whole thing just turns out to be embarrassment,as in my manhood just get cold and freezen.
Please note before, before I always get early morning erection strong and hard, but when it comes to my wife, my body system will just collapse instantly.
You guys need to rekindle the romance. Both of you have issues you need to work out. For a woman to go to some other town to do business it means there is something that is an issue.
Omooba77: If we can give so much for a continental championship, what will now be considered adequate compensation if it ever happens that the Nigerian team, male or female, wins the World Cup?
He never really existed to begin with. I have always maintained that. A woman can't become pregnant without the input of a man. God mating with virgins are the Hallmark of Greek/ Roman mythology. The Jews don't have that idea. It's all pagan myths.
This is actually a good point. The Hebrew myths don't have the god doing anything of such despite their god appearing several times physically or at least sending emissaries bearing the name of the god. It makes sense that this is a syncretic insertion from Greek/Roman mythology.
mercysamuelson: That's him. For me, na my Naija food I dey eat for Yankee. Nothing concern me with Broccoli. I hardly eat many of the food here. Its strictly my Naija food. I only ate Broccoli once and I don't like it. Even the fried chicken, I dey run. I make my chicken myself . My wife eat their foods and I concentrate on my own food too.
You must not like vegetables if you don't like broccoli. I eat it regularly here in Naija and I think it is amazing.
LoopyNigeria: In an interview with Korty EO, Olamide revealed his favorite food and surprisingly is not Eba and Egusi soup. Badoo prefers Lamb chops, Sea bass, Broccoli and Caviar.
Kwinesther: Yes he's right! Body bleaching creams with Mercury and steroids e.g most of those harsh creams in tubes causes skin thinning. That is why their skin gets easily wounded and wouldn't heal fast. Doctors wouldn't even dare do any surgical operation on such skin.
Skin thinning is not the same as making someone thinner. I have naturally thin skin yet I am slightly overweight for my height. The 2 are not the same.
Auxtan: My salesgirl understands my business to the point I am considering to just make her my family.
I don't do an easy business and I am looking to scale, which means someone that understands this business is vital for that to happen and preferably a family member.
Now I am thinking of marrying her and also in the process leaving the relationship/dating market that is a distraction.
I don't have issues whatsoever with this my salesgirl in terms of character and even accountability, she's just perfect in those aspects, but my problem is her age.
Right now, I am just thinking of taking this decision of killing 2 birds with a stone might just be the best for me, one is settling down and two is marrying someone that understands my business.
Is a 29 year old man too big for an 18 year old girl? What's the general public perception of it?
PS: For the main time, I haven't made moves on her. But my interviews on her so far shows she's not looking to enter the high institution anytime soon (probably due to funds). But if I become comfortable with the age gap that is my major concern, I'd make moves on her and see if it will be possible. I'm trying to assess general views on marrying girls in their teen like her.
Since you are asking, I will tell you not to. An 18yr old doesn't know what she wants from life yet. Don't be surprised if you start to go with her, a few years down the road she tells you she is no longer interested and you start wondering why.
You just killed two innocent birds. If someone wants to attack you why not simply attack you? What are you, superman? Or attack you as lions or tigers, why two tiny birds? Do you people think?
LoLz! Main character syndrome. They've been trained to think like this is some kind of action drama movie of which they are the main characters and everything is out to get them.
Asuun: Those of you that know, could you please explain to us why some people have such veins?. While some do not have at all, others have in quantum. A neighbor was sick and was about to be dripped, but the doctors couldn't find a vein. Sometimes it's not about going to gym or carrying heavy objects.
Even some ladies have this kind of veins in their hand and even legs. Some ladies who are slim have it too, especially those ladies who use cheap bleaching creams. I heard that too much bleaching makes a lady to grow thinner and bring out her veins.
How can bleaching make someone thinner? Make una dey reason some tins naa!
GothamCities: You remember the Church of those days, especially the 70s and 80s? Long benches, local drums and loud claps that roar during praise and worship sessions. Those days, before things started changing in the early 90s, there were no beautiful church interiorsvabd funfair as we have them today. That was church anyway, and we enjoyed it like that.
Today, many things have changed, and except you're an old time Christian, you'll never know that church services actually evolved to what they are today. Even the songs have changed. So many songs that bring tears to our eyes during prayers have disappeared from the Churches. I still sing many of the old songs in my private prayers today because they lift up my spirit most assuredly into the Presence of God.

How many of these songs do you know?
80s/early 90s songs. These were before Integrity Music (Don Moen) and Hillsong (Darlene Zschech) became popular.
Gen Z is the most connected generation yet spiritually, many feel disconnected. More and more young people are saying: "I’m not religious." But why?
Let’s unpack it ;
1. Church Hurt & Hypocrisy Gen Z questions what doesn’t align. When leaders preach love but practice judgment, they bounce. They're not leaving God,they're leaving the noise.
2. Information Overload Gen Z grew up Googling everything. They’ve seen different beliefs side-by-side and they ask deeper questions. Blind faith doesn’t work for a generation raised to research.
3. Mental Health Matters They care about emotional safety. If a religious space triggers shame more than healing, they won’t stay. They want faith that listens, not just lectures.
4. Authenticity Over Tradition Gen Z doesn’t care about appearances, they crave realness. If faith feels scripted or outdated, they’d rather pass.
5. Spiritual but Not Religious Many aren’t atheist, they just don’t vibe with the labels. They pray. They believe. But they want a personal relationship, not just performance.
So is Gen Z faithless? No. They’re just tired of performative religion. They’re seeking real connection with God, with meaning, with truth.
Maybe the church doesn’t need to be louder. Maybe it needs to be more honest. More human. More healing.
What’s your take? Is Gen Z really unreligious or just reshaping what faith looks like?
You can't have a real relationship with an imaginary being.
FreeIgboho: You two should juxtapose all this against real life. See all the people that have to wrong for Jesus not to be divine:
*Yahweh Himself would be totally powerless allowing someone else worshipped interchangeably with him and massively blessing those that worship that Person!
You should tell this to all those who are scamming people in the name of Yahweh. You powerless god doesn't exactly nothing just as we would expect from a nonexistent being.
budaatum: Had a cousin live with me once. I gave him my bedroom and I slept on the sofa. He paid no rent, apparently assuming the government paid citizen's rent, and would eat everything left in my pot after I ate.
One day I went to Peckham, bought fish and Guinness and went home to cook rice and dodo. As I was eating, he arrived and asked if I'd taken all I want so he can eat the rest as he normally would, but I told him I hadn't, and would be eating it all as I didn't cook any for him. All the Guinness was mine too, I said, which shocked him as I usually share. "Oh", I said, "and when I finish, I'd like a word please".
"Did your family (my maternal) tell you my family owes you and you should come and collect", I asked. That's when he told me he thought the government was feeding me and paying my rent.
"So, when you see me go to work l, What's that", I asked.
We decided he'd be paying rent and would contribute to electric and water and buy his own food or pay for mine if he eats it. He stayed for 5 years and sensitised the 8 other people who stayed with us in that time.
He did run up my landline with calls to America so I got a £200+ bill. I called the person, got number from itemised bill, and found out it was his friend before confronting him. He said he thought it would not count because the phone was locked and he'd found a way around it.
Bwahahahahahahaha! Why did you give him the bedroom? That's why he thought he has been promoted to demi-god. LMAO!
DeepSight: In front of him we pretend to be his friends. And lo and behold, on the same thread, on a public platform, we are saying different things behind his back. This one pass me I swear.
FreeIgboho: See the kind of things you're saying behind my back. In front of me you'd pretend to be my friends. If I wasn't a devout Christian I'd say THUNDER fire the both of you!
When you were arguing in circles with Gabrielshow24 about freewill, and losing the argument to be honest, am I not the one that ended the argument by simply pointing out that everything boils down to the brain which you neither chose nor programmed and there's nothing you can use to override the brain except the brain itself, processes of which you don't control?
Can a 5-year-old do that??
Who indirectly convinced everyone here there's no such thing as freewill because decisions are always based on past things you neither chose nor control - people like gohf, tctrills, Dtruthspeaker, Everyday247, FxMasterz, Image123, Ruke1990, sonmvayina, MeetDx, Sand2022, who were all gong-ho about freewill before. Who shut Boomark with facts when he tried to say the Bible never said God is omniscient?
Who wrote the brilliant OP that showed Jesus has to be God if you believe the Bible.
Can a 5-year-old do all that??
I'm still very much tempted to say thunder fire the both of you, but as a devout Christian...
I overestimated. Now you sound like a whiny 4 year old. LMAO!
Do you think it's easy it's easy to tell someone that is notaware they smell or have some funny odour that they actually do smell?
Respectfully. It's not hard at all to let your spouse know especially if you have a good relationship. Coming from you should make them take it more seriously.
DeepSight: Gbam! You get it. Someone else on this thread was doing something similar and I subtly had to try to find out his age - because I thought - this cannot be an adult?
What is annoying me is that at a point I was thinking, ah maybe one needs to be patient and take it step by step, this stranger may sincerely not be able to put one and two together. Honestly. From my "church" mind.
Enter Mohammed and the Flying Horse and vooom! He can see the point!
So in truth its all the same "my voodoo is real history but the voodoo of others are myths."
