Don rush and start explaining things. Forst tel him to loose all the plugs nd check for cracks on the ceramic or if the pkugs have expired or worn out. If pkuga are good..ruled out. Next tell him to guage the oil or you remove the dipstick?clean and insert then reove and check for imtbe level if its low or guaged. Thirdly he ahoyld check if the oil pump and oil pump mesh filter screen under the oil sump is blocked or dirty.... if after that he should check the timing belts?pulleys,adjuster where the fan belt sits on timing chain..if after every ..then the engine don knock be that. Some of these meko dey place one or half inch screw Inside your engine crankcase when you are not there. It will now hook the pistons or valves and bend them and hence engine knocked. He ahud check where I told u too. Don't go there and be doing big man o . Make sure u r there.mke no be say na spark plugs.them go tell u say engine don knock.cos every meko eyes dey red now and dem go chop anyone.

Camshaft vvt actuators going out
Due to its failure it rattles upon start up but then dies down when oil circulates through the actuators. You should also have fault codes pointing to them also

Buying a car seems it comes with a lot of headache especially when you are faced with making a choice.

It's my first car, and I am stuck between choosing a Camry and Honda .
I particularly like Honda , but then I read that the V4 in Honda uses CVT which isn't that strong and need a lot of careful maintenance. So my focus is on Honda Accord Ex-l v6

Just go for the Honda
Perks
- has a very reliable engine ( j35y1) would do just the job, although it also implemented the VCM system which was very problematic but this comes with the 3rd gen VCM which doesn’t have too much issues
- being a VCM engine, you can get better mpg while going at cruising speed which one needs now due to our Nigerian fueling crisis
Downsides
- at some point of ownership you would most likely need engine decarbonization which really isn’t an issue because they’re pretty much Available
- it’s uses a timing belt so you must be really wary of previous repair history ( I.e ) if they’ve ever been changed because that engine is an interference engine, if the belt snaps it can bend valves too
Overall
It’s a great vehicle honestly, and I think with proper maintenance you can take care of it

Just to add to this, both vehicles are great vehicles but if you get the mdx be very careful where you get fuel for the vehicle, very important

Please my Hyundai Elantra 2017 just goes off in motion without any warning but comes immediately back on like nothing happened when I restart it. The car doesn't overheat. And it drives normally after going off. The first time it happened, I was in traffic for a very long time and I felt that was it. But it has happened two more times in the space of 1 week. I want to upgrade my 2008 highlander to 2012 any advice ?

I’ll advise not to do this type of upgrade I’ll share below, if you ply bad roads often from my little experience they end up dropping and they aren’t too strong.
Also be careful who would do this upgrade when it comes to your vehicles headlamp wiring.
But if you’re doing the normal 012 upgrade I don’t think you have any issues

Is there away to clear the error code?

Then for TPMS, is it replacement or repair?

For the startarbility malfunction, if the issue has been sorted out, just clear codes on ignition, for the TPMs fault it’ll need change and programming

You have issues with your throttle body since it’s a performance code I’ll suggest cleaning of the throttle plate it might be very dirty if that doesn’t work and electricals are fine throttle body would need replacement

For the TPMs codes the vehicle can’t read data from three of the sensors, most likely would need replacement and programming
For the startability malfunction, was there anytime the vehicle cranked longer before starting, from my experience fueling issues
Would cause this or any factor really that would make the vehicle crank longer than expected

Either really, first you need to scan the vehicle to ascertain why they are turned on, if you are in Lagos I could do that for you
