I’ll advise to order it outside the country or better still talk to Dru23, he’s based in the us and sells original fluids here, he’ll most likely be able to get you the original CHF fluid for the abc unit

Not a very reliable powertrain as Mr Nurey as initially stated, I’ll advise you to stick with the Toyota, or probably with that budget getting the 2016 Camry if it’s appealing to you

Actually it’s an amazing vehicle, shares same powertrain with the corolla, Infact if you’re someone who would like more cargo space or maybe you need something that looks different it’s a good choice too but as the downside as the corolla of being stolen or vandalized for part

I dropped off my vehicle with a popular auto-workshop around Billingsway for oil leak repairs that required the technicians to pull out the engine from the vehicle.

On completion, all the instrument clusters stopped working, except for the fuel gauge and the A/B trip computer only.

There’s no feedback from:
— the speedometer,
— temperature gauge,
— odometer
— the car information dashboard
— the gear selector indicator
— the air-conditioning (it only blows hot air, their A/C technician says he can’t diagnose any issue that’s causing it).
— the diagnostic control

None of the OBS diagnostic tools is reading any information from the vehicle. Nothing is coming up. All their 3 diagnostics tools worked fine with the vehicle just prior to them undertaking the repairs.

There’s no other security set up on the vehicle except Honda’s security set up. I’ve checked to see if that’s the issue. It doesn’t seem to be.

The implication is that my vehicle cannot be in use, otherwise I will be driving blind.

Mechanical-wise, the vehicle’s operation seems good. But I can’t ever be comfortable driving a vehicle where no vehicle information is available

Prior to this particular repair, all functions and instruments in the vehicle worked perfectly and in good condition. In over 5 years of use, this is the first time of undergoing any significant maintenance/repairs.

It is now 5 weeks since I was scheduled to pick up the vehicle, and till date they have not been able to resolve whatever the issue is.

I am counting my losses at this point, as I have to look elsewhere to get this fixed; but I need guidance from any of the professionals on here. I will also be holding them liable for the cost of repairs of this particular issue.

Seems like you’re having CAN communication issues from the cluster to the vehicles vital control unit ( ECU/ TCM)
- since you can’t scan the vehicle first thing I’ll do is to check for battery power at pin 16 of the dlc port.
- inspect dlc fuse and all other fuse generally
- inspect all vehicle ground since engine was removed
- check can high and can low readings at the dlc port (3.5v and 1.5v )
- check terminating resistance between can high and low also ( should be 60 ohms thereabouts
- through a wiring diagram check both can high and low wires to the instrument cluster ( if all of the above checks out which I doubt it would )
- lastly maybe getting another cluster to test for a dead cluster ( this I really doubt if all the whole info isn’t available )
For your AC
- most likely when they took out the engine they loosened out the condenser unit for space and now you need Freon ( gas ) to cool again
NB ALL TO BE DONE BY A TECHNICIAN

Also do note that the prices I’m giving are average values sir, you’d obviously find some cheaper or even more expensive all depends on various factors, like age, vehicle condition and even reason for sale, thank you sir.

Then get the 2011 Camry ( the one that still looks like a muscle Camry but then has a better engine ) for a tokunbo unit you should be looking at 10.5-11m max and 8-8-5 m for a good Nigerian used unit
A 2012 -2013 Camry would suffice also has a much refined look, and still very reliable and maintenance friendly, 14.5-15m for higher trims like se and XLE and a registered unit about 10m-11.5m
2010-2011 corolla, very economical on gas, simple ride and would do everything you need it to do, it can be a bit pricy though ( 7-8m for Nigerian used unit ) and 12m for a toks unit

2007 Toyota Camry ( solid car, but you’ll most likely face oil burn issues later on )
2005-2008 corolla ( actually a good option, just get a car tracker if you opt for it, it’s a thieve magnet )
2005 -6 Toyota Highlander ( you probably have kids or would need something with a higher ground clearance , it’s very reliable but then it’s a v6 )
- 2008 Honda Crv, honestly, this is the best option for you, absolutely wonderful cuv, nice interior has ground clearance, 4 plugs engine, maintenance friendly, fit the budget perfectly, just make sure you get a good unit

My car ac blower trips off everytime I enter gallops or any rough road, and after some minutes it come up again , at any slight rough road the AC blower trips off and when it does the compressor also stops and picks when it start blowing again. Is the AC blower faulty?

Is this an ml350 2013, I’ll suspect a connection issue with it instead of a failed component ( I’ve personally tackled gle350 and it was the junction connector to the blower that got burnt, pretty common on the ml series 2013-15

If you’re getting a registered one, get a pre purchase inspection done be wary of the Cvt transmission ( for the four cylinders though )

What business are we talking does it involve hauling goods and since you you’d be plying bad roads you’re better off with an suv, but 2 million is very low to get a used vehicle a vehicle I would have suggested is a 2001 Toyota 4Runner, it gets the job done but then they aren’t cheap ranging from 4’-5m for a registered unit
