So much time is being wasted. Keep posting nonsense. They will continue the status quo while you worry about origin rather than competence. |
Cmon homey! Chill out! They finally wanna do right and we can't even let them generate funds to initiate any projects or even the ogoni clean up! Ahhhhhh! I'm going bald from the stress and anger. Either they're eating the cake or the guys are blowing it up. When will I get some cake? |
The Enugu State chapter of the All Progressives Congress replied Rev. Father Ejike Mbaka assuring him and Nigerians that President Muhammadu Buhari will not disappoint Nigerians in the task of fixing the country. The party said this in a statement released by its spokesperson, Kate Offor. Mbaka, the Director of the Adoration Ministry, Catholic Church Enugu State, had last week said life was no longer easy for Nigerians as there was hunger everywhere. “It is not easy everywhere. Hunger is everywhere. Hunger is in the atmosphere…………. There is sword moving about in the country. People are dying like flies. The sword of hunger is eating the land,” the clergyman said. The APC in its reaction said though it agreed with Mbaka, the president was committed to fixing the country. “We wish to reassure Fr. Mbaka that President Buhari will not in the fullness of time disappoint Nigerians or fail to fix our dilapidated social and physical infrastructure. Never! Buhari is devotedly committed to pull Nigerians out of poverty, hunger and squalor,” it said. The APC also blamed past administrations for the country’s woes. It said, “For us yesterday and for true reality is the architecture of today, and nobody can wash yesterday away. “Therefore, Fr Mbaka is correct in stating that the past regimes sowed the whirlwind we are regrettably reaping today. “If the $16 billion expended on power supply was prudently expended, if the 3 Greenfield Refineries awarded on 13 May, 2010 was not dead and fund decayed in the sand, if the $8.3 billion spent on the old gauge Lagos-Kano Railway were for standard gauge, if the Enugu-Onitsha, Enugu-Port Harcourt, 2nd Niger Bridge the and other federal roads monies budgeted were not eaten by locust, if the monies meant for Enugu Coal were nor embezzled and if the billions budgeted for our schools and hospitals did not grow wings; hunger couldn’t have been in the land, unemployment could have been drastically reduced and our prosperity could have been guaranteed. “His solution is to effectively and prudently implement 2016 and subsequent budgets, so as to fix the decayed infrastructure. “On the issue of being slow, Mr President pointed out that the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the Procurement Act and other extant laws make it impossible for any official to expend monies not appropriated by the National Assembly. Otherwise, he could have dipped his hand into the trillions budgeted and hit the ground running. “It is pertinent to inform as well that Mr President is embarking on economic diplomacy, travelling the length and breadth of the globe, utilizing his huge goodwill to attract foreign investors to fulfil the solemn pledge he made to the good people of Nigeria. “It is common knowledge that destruction is very easy and reconstruction very difficult. This is the ordeal that Mr President is facing in fixing Nigeria.” The APC assured Father Mbaka and other Nigerians that in the fullness of time, nobody would ever regret voting for Buhari, adding “ All he needs is prayers patience and support.” http://ynaija.com/buhari-will-not-fail-apc-tells-mbaka/ https://static.ynaija.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/09182811/Images1-Fr._Ejike_Mbaka_And_Muhammadu_Buhari_299431401.jpg |
It's been a week exactly. Where's the 60billion? |
Pavore9:GBAM-O! |
This is some nice news to start my day. Now all I need is a bank alert and I'm set. It shall be well,. RIP to Father Tagbo. |
Here's the full vid. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YFRTJ3YLv7A Fashola did well. The interviewer lacks manners. Every time Fashola was about to prove a point he interjected. Fashola kept his cool but you could see he was upset by his perspiration midway through the discussion. I'm not sure why "journalists" feel the need to berate their counterparts. I'm proud of Fashola for not giving him what he wanted by staying composed and sticking to the indisputable facts. He's my guy any day. BRF and W.I.W. Obiano are my dream team ticket. I know it could never occur but one can dream. |
Love Machine:Not quite. Thus you and I are not the same. |
Love Machine:Your username says it all. |
You people really ought to give it a rest. You know good and well that was a promise he never made. That is the working of the press and yet you still cling to the falsehood? Threads like this put on full display the mentality of fools. Rather than wish a man well who essentially holds our collective destiny in his grasp you applaud his missteps and economic misfortunes as if they don't affect you. Last I checked Aso Villa has billions allocated for food. When he gets sick he travels abroad. His children school in the UK. His cars are never lacking fuel. So please continue to laugh at the present economic downturn. You are surely making things tougher on the APC Elite. Good Night. |
We're in good hands. |
tiwiex:Some people got so excited at the thought of a big bad tough running affairs that they forgot the concept of collateral damage. They went for the big fish instead of starting from the ground and working their way up. The payments were a sneeze In comparison to the tornado that hit this year's revenue. Buhari needs to drop his sycophants because they have him gassed up to fail. chamboy:How many groups sprang up even when top boys weren't paying their lowers? Open the maritime school and give a concrete date in future of when the amnesty program will end. It's not a hard concept. These people feel cheated in the grand scheme. They don't want much just an opportunity. I've never been to the creeks but I've seen footage. We're lucky they have not done worse sooner.

A king is only as good as his entourage. Buhari has some not so good people around him from the looks of things. Too many yes men. He should be using his Southern bloc way more than he has. |
I still want him to contest in 2019. He has what it takes to shake things up. I like his style. |
HungerBAD:Peace costs less than war. Imagine if we had negotiated from the start. No oil installation bombings. No power outages. Increased revenue. Funding for capital projects. Dare I say we may have averted this present quagmire of recession. The payments are a small price for peace & development. |
I'm so excited for Eko! Our professionals in the diaspora will finally have no reason nor excuse to not return from time to time and lend their expertise. We are rising! |
investnow2013:Any newer pics? I'm loving what I'm reading, hearing and seeing coming from Anambra. They are doing some great works in the state during these trying times. Could you imagine if oil was at $100+ a barrel? |
investnow2013:You ain't lied. Anambra Amaka! |
This is nice. Let's keep building. The future is getting brighter. I won't lie that "Thai Town" doesn't all the way sit too well with me. We'll see... |
Eziokwu! |
These seem like capable hands. |
jnrbayano:What irks me about this is that it's such an uncomfortable lifestyle. What makes someone want to trek for eons with cattle? I agree there was a time this made sense but now it's outdated and ought to be phased out. With ranches they would be much better served and their quality of life would sky rocket. Someday we'll all get right. 'Til then... |
May the worst of times be over and done with. Let's have some peace and prosperity. |
The federal government says it will release an additional N60 billion next week, as part of ongoing efforts to tackle infrastructure deficit and facilitate revitalization of the economy. Finance Minister, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun, disclosed this on Thursday while addressing Senators on the state of the country’s economy since the 2016 budget came into effect. She said all the releases made so far were fully cash backed. A breakdown of the money released shows that N170 billion was given to the Ministry of Works, Power, and Housing, with works alone getting N74 billion in two months, and Agriculture received N21.6 billion within the same period. The Finance Minister told the legislators that all agricultural equipment now come into the country at zero percent (0%) custom duty, stressing that it will aide government’s economic diversification efforts and improve the drive towards food sufficiency. According to her, the prospect of Nigeria’s economic recovery before the end of 2016 is very bright despite the present hardship facing the people. “We will grow out of this economic challenge and bounce back better in the next few months,” she assured. She said that government decided to release the monies strategically as part of its stimulus package to drive the economy. Mrs. Adeosun confirmed that government did not give bailout to distressed states to pay salaries, stressing that states were now being encouraged to look inwards to develop agricultural produce that could help them expand their internally generated revenue platforms and avoid the crisis associated with nonpayment of salaries. “Federal government did not give money to the states to pay salaries but what we did was to provide risk guarantee that will enable the states to expand their borrowing capacities with the commercial banks.” https://www.today.ng/business/159737/fgs-n60bn-economic-stimulus-week |
Nice post. |
"If you think peace is expensive, try war"~RUMBLINGS FROM THE CREEK How much have we already lost this year? How much will it cost to fix the environment? May both sides embrace truthful dialogue. May cooler heads prevail on both sides. Everybody is losing at present. May peace and progress reign. Blessings to all. |
Sealeddeal:You're probably correct. |
What part of the game is that? That's foul! |
We gotta do better. |
We shall see. |
12,000+? Radical Sharia law needs to be implemented on these thieves. I wanna start seeing northern politicians that are missing hands for stealing. |
The opposition told jokes while he laughed all the way home to Otuoke to enjoy his life. I guess the joke was on us. The suffering and the smiling continues. |
