There is a rumour flying around that APL has been sent to some people. I find it hard to believe cos there is no testimony here yet. Is it true? |

Afootee: I don't think we need to drag this refund issue to this length, it has been the subject matter going to a week. Please what we should find out is the current position of NNPC concerning the recruitment, we need latest info not this refund imbroglio.
All monikers with sauces we need you to contact your sauces. There is a pending court case which is coming on 28th Oct,2019. I believe NNPC will win but pray the guy does not appeal the case. NNPC cannot make any final decision on this recruitment without the closure of the case. Focus on other things. |

Okay83: We must not respond to every statement whenever we do not have a sensible response.... If you don't know, no body requested for payment of transport stipend but NNPC herself told EVERY candidate that they will be paid transport stipend. Their statement invariably made them to owe any candidate that has not been paid expect you do not know the importance of honouring your words. Well, I hear you say, this is Naija but also know NNPC is a corporate entity. Finally, nobody has told you that "ordinary" transport fare has taken priority over APL....
I expect to see matured comments here considering the tight educational criteria used but unfortunately I see otherwise sometimes except not everybody who comments here that was actually invited. Work on your grammar. |

Okay83: Na wa oh... I have not received even 1 payment and yet some persons have gotten 3. Please is there any means that we can use to lay our complaints? we need TP fare as much as we need the APL as well Who do you want to complain to? Are they owing you? NNPC is not under any obligation to pay anybody any transport fare. Your main target should be APL not ordinary transport fare. |

Cavalier: Ladies and Gentlemen,I have read through your posts with keen interest. The insults and the bashing of people with sources and those without as to which info is credible is funny and ridiculous. I just want to help a little bit with information that is available to me to help those in dire need of it. I am a Managerial candidate and so I wasn't interviewed with most of you here. Last week Thursday after the Presidential broadcast, the Minister of Petroleum ordered the NNPC Recruitment list as it was to be published. It was to be published in PUNCH newspaper. There was pandemonium in Abuja as all the politicians and new management who have been lobbying for name replacements since Kyari took over would've been left without their candidates being put in the list.Even the Minister of Labour went to protest that the composition of the list didn't show Federal character as it was lopsided towards the West and not evenly spread. He was then educated that while Federal character may have a role in the invitation for interviews, only competence and merit are considered after passing the interview. He soft-pedalled but the other powerful politicians made so much noise that the Minister suspended the order to publish on Thursday,3rd October 2019 and gave them 5 working days to sort whatever irregularities they claimed was in the list before he went to South Africa for his 3-day visit. He is back now and will expect their report before it gets published. If he stays true to his first order, then this list will likely be out in the national dailies before emails and texts are even sent out. I know kids of nowadays will complain about reading long write-ups. It is the bane of our country right now. No insults please,I could have stayed in my corner just to read and watch misinformation fly all around. At our managerial level of application, our channels of communication with the NNPC are quite different. You may choose to believe or not.Have a great week, my people. I heard similar stuff from my friend(She was told by her sugar that works for NNPC). She was also told that a group is not satisfied because some states are not equally represented and that was why the list has been moving up and down to FCC. The unsatisfied group is insisting that the list should be published in a national newspaper so that Nigerians will see the unequal treatment some states received irrespective of FCC while the satisfied group is against it. Please, this is the information my friend told me and it may be right or wrong. Good luck. |

Easymoneysniper: Alright then. I'll remind you Your certainty level is very high. I will recommend you to all GTs' to vote for you as their GT president during training period, if it happens as you said. You are the new Jarus. Goodluck to everyone as we await APL next week. |

Mitocyan: Thank God Oga Jarus has confirmed it. PhD or even MS in a top US school opens doors for people. Similarly a guy that studied Chem Eng in my school went for masters in a not highly ranked US school, funded by his pops though and now works as a Data Scientist in Shell USA. Another one now works in Google as a Network Engineer(in fact he struggled to make 2-1). That it worked for Mr A does not mean Mr B will experience same. Someone gave you a very good (best) advice that nothing is certain. If he is an EH , I will advice him to go for PHD but a capital NO for GT( without experience unless he doesn't have NNPC or other very good offer). Presently , companies are after what you can offer(bring to the table) not book. Please let's focus on NNPC matter. |

Robocorp: I beg to differ, it's public knowledge that the maikanti and kachikwu didn't see eye to eye on some issues because he maikanti was reporting directly to Baba on those issues. And trust me baba will never give anyone the power to function as a senior minister of petroleum. How would you say Maikanti was not reporting to Ibe Kachukwu when Kachukwu was Chairman of NNPC board. Ibe Kachukwu was the Baba we saw in the last 4 years because Baba gave him the power and opportunity to function in that capacity. Baba is/was a simple man. The reason Baba was the Petroleum Minister was to curb corruption in that sector and to improve the sector. |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Apply For 2019 NNPC Graduate Trainee And Experience Hire by Loveprick: 7:08pm On Aug 08, 2019 |
joobseekar: You mean State minister of petroleum? because Baba is still the Minister of Petroleum. However, what's the power level of state minister of petroleum? I don't know who is going to be the Petroleum Minister. But if is going to be Baba, he is still going to be a figure head. His State(Junior) Minister does the dirty and underground jobs as witness in the last 4 years. He gives the State Minister the power to function as if his the senior minister apart from very critical issues. Didn't you notice that NNPC and other parastatal were reporting directly to Ibe Kachukwu( former State Minister of Petroleum) instead of Baba(former Minister of Petroleum) |

aifybuu: Exactly the reason it has to be the week after the Salah week..lols. I dont think the week after Salah will be possible cos that's the week for new ministers. The new Petroleum Minister will receive reports from all the petroleum parastatals and other departments/ministries under him which may take him up to a month to digest. By that time , NNPC can no longer make any decision about this recruitment without his approval. The new Petroleum Minister can decide to play along with NNPC or decide to delay the process or even suspend/cancel the recruitment process. Is better for NNPC to notify successful ones before introduction of new ministers .We should try to keep ourselves busy. |

bobowaja: Your colleague as in friend or work mate? Same panel? Smiles possibly
But I don't believe u tho. How possibly is it that you guys were tracking each other throughout and after the interview? You mean you guys even wrote names same time while some minutes were taken by members of the panel before next invitee is called into the room?.... Lol. Maybe you traced the names of that colleague before writing urs or u waited for him/or her to know the paper he/she wrote on and ascertain the position.
You might be right anyways but I don't believe u. Thanks I am not here to argue or prove any point. I was surprise to see her at the Tower because we have never discussed anything about NNPC recruitment . We applied the same role and my name was called before her name in the amphitheatre. After my interview I had to wait for her at the place we did accreditation so that we can go out and catch fun together in Abuja. Remember, I don't believe there is a correlation between APL and TF. |

stevie55: That settles it. There's a correlation between TF and APL. What's the correlation? Only time will tell. I don't think there is a correlation b/w TF & APL. I think while processing the payment, some people/names were mistakenly jumped . I am no more worried because my aim is the APL not the TF. |

My colleague we did interview the same day and panel has been paid. We wrote our names on the same EH sheet, use the same bank and I even wrote my name before her. Please , what is misery behind this payment pattern? |

Let's calm down. I think this week should be the better or best week for us/NNPC to receive/send notification because : 1. We have public holidays next week and this may affect some of the activities of NNPC. 2. We are going to have new ministers in two weeks time . The new Petroleum Minister will have a great influence in both the approval and final decision of this recruitment. This may tarnish the good effort NNPC has put in this recruitment process and further delay the completion of this recruitment longer than expected. |

So much panic/tension here. I hope some people will not drink sniper when APL starts landing. I have said it before that everyone should prepare his/her mind for the best and worst outcome/result to avoid stories that touch. The real truth is that all of us can't be in NNPC. I wish everyone success in your future endeavour and more dollars in your pocket. |

Samkeniyy: You will all receive your transport allowee this week. 20k flat irrespective of distance. Your sauce sweet oh. Does it mean that those of us who came from outside naija will receive 20k? Anyway, that was not the reason why we came for the interview. Yet to receive my own. Thank you NNPC for caring. Based on your nice sauce, when are we expecting APL? |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Apply For 2019 NNPC Graduate Trainee And Experience Hire by Loveprick: 2:25pm On Jul 14, 2019 |
Jarus: Not sure how it works.
2 possible options.
Let's say you resume in October (3 months to year
1, The upfront could be pro-rated (3/12*4m), and paid to you in October end, and the regular monthly subsequently for the rest of the year or 2, The allowances that make up upfront(Housing etc) could be paid monthly till year end
Not sure how it works. Just my guess of possibilities.
On the 3 months wait, I don't think it applies to NNPC. NNPC is not ministry, it is self-funded. Thank you for your inputs in this thread. Pls help us find out when APL will be expected. Your source/sauce was 100% accurate even when there was a change in NNPC management. Your source/sauce is a sure source/sauce. Thank you. |

But I always enjoy Dana. I prefer Dana to Arik. On tuesday , I went to Abuja from PH with Dana and came back today with Arik. I must say I enjoyed the experience I had with Dana than Arik. In fact, there is no perfect system in this world. |

I have been a silent reader. It was a wonderful and sweet interview experience with panel 1 and I enjoyed my time with them. I was asked about 9(nine) technical questions, 1(one) safety question, 3(three) normal interview questions ( no behavioral/situational question) and one question about NNPC. We shook hands after the interview. I believe shaking of hands was a normal pattern for Panel 1(one) and not attached to performance. We should be ready for the best and worst outcome/ result of this recruitment. I will also use this medium to thank NNPC for conducting a very professional recruitment process. Wish everyone success in your future endeavour. |
