Lets be realistic. Girls that get raped and report such incidents, even when the rapist is convicted, she faces the stigma for a long long long time.

I think getting a conviction helps, the rapist - family memeber or not will also get his deserved stigma forever

I think more focus should be laid on society morals and values. There should be a global campaign sentising more Women on the issue of rape and sexual abuse and the need to voice out, thus letting men know that rape and sexual abuse is a criminal offence.

I think there are global campaigns, it just seems like its not penetrating africa, i think they too bothered with hummer and ipods

yes the thread is about Rape, Leaders have to stand up and speak out against it, since the men are busy fighting over who gets the biggest cake the responsible female leaders should do something, they will connect more with the women especially those who have been abused and get better results if they stand up together against this crime
